CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE 5-50 Race Date 19/07/16 | Horse Racing

CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE FORM

Culloden

Culloden (GB) is a 4yo from the Shaun Harris stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Has form in Handicap races which while not first rate they could be described as satisfactory which suggests that maybe a place is the most likely results for Culloden (GB).

Today’s jockey is Charlie Bennett who it has to be said is capable in these types of races but on a unknown course their recent form is only average with a strike rate of 14%.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Tasaaboq

Tasaaboq (GB) is a 5yo from the Phil McEntee stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Intermediate form over the last twelve months is how things appear to be for Tasaaboq (GB) who is a 5yo out of the sire by the name Aqlaam (GB), or this is how things look when taking par in Handicap races. Did put in a tolerable run at Wolverhampton (A.W) on the 25/04/2016 when ridden by Josephine Gordon but the word average does spring to mind.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Wattaboutsteve

Wattaboutsteve (GB) is a 5yo from the Ralph J Smith stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Good recent form is what we are after in a race like this but with Wattaboutsteve (GB) this does not look to be the case, in fact its form looks rather discouraging, only spark of light would be that it did fill the 2nd spot when wearing the same piece of headgear.

Allocated weight here today is 09-03 and by checking the offspring’s record for this sire over the last twelve we see a detrimental strike rate of only 6%.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Andalusite

Andalusite (GB) is a 3yo from the Ed McMahon stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This runner not only has tiptop recent form but has also proved it can handle a unknown course which it did in a distinguished fashion when racing at Leicester (Gb) on the 02/07/2016.

This runner out of the Ed McMahon stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Manipura

Manipura (GB) Filly who for this race has Paddy Bradley on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Standard

Having the right headgear fitted can sometimes help and with Manipura (GB) it certainly appears to be the case and was proved when putting in a commendable recent run by finishing 2nd at Leicester (Gb) when it was fitted with a No Headgear, so looks above average choice for this race.

One for your short list I feel and looks to have the form which would enable it to be in the shake up, there maybe others with higher ratings but this one still looks to have a chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Ryan Style

Ryan Style (IRE) is a 10yo from the Lisa Williamson stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Intermediate form over the last twelve months is how things appear to be for Ryan Style (IRE) who is a 10yo out of the sire by the name Desert Style (IRE), or this is how things look when taking par in Handicap races. Did put in a tolerable run at Haydock (Gb) on the 08/08/2015 when ridden by Cam Hardie but the word average does spring to mind.

Stats can play there part in form studying and I have looked to find some suitable results in which to sum up this ones chances. The best one appears to be when Paddy Pilley is ridding a runner carrying around this sort of weight the recent strike rate is only average or run of the mill.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Stop The Wages

Stop The Wages (IRE) is a 2yo from the Brian Meehan stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Nottingham.

With this race being a Stakes we would be looking for good recent form in this type of race and on first glance we can see that Stop The Wages (IRE) did finish 2nd in such a race but that result may very well not count for much.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.
