CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE 6-20 Race Date 19/07/16 | Horse Racing

CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE FORM

Wadood

Wadood (IRE) is from the Robert Cowell and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Chelmsford (A.W)

Has an above average rating and looks a proficient runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Adam Kirby is today’s jockey who has a splendid recent record when ridding the offspring out of this sire and currently the stats show a 17% strike rate.

This looks to be a good race and one in which Wadood (IRE) appears to hold a chance due to the talented form which has been shown in the past and could very well be worth a bet.

Thomas Cranmer

Thomas Cranmer (USA) is a 2yo from the Mark Johnston stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

We have a Stakes race here and recent form shows that Thomas Cranmer (USA) took part in a similar race at Lingfield (A.W) (Gb) but was unplaced. However this distinguished 2yo Colt will be better today and I see no reason to leave out this one for the reckoning.

An interesting stats for this runners sire is the fact that recent results show that when the runner has been trained by Mark Johnston there is a 33% exceptional strike rate.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Mark Johnston stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Father McKenzie

Father McKenzie (GB) is a 2yo from the Mick Channon stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Put in a bush-league type of performance when recently racing at Chepstow (Gb) with the same piece of headgear which Father McKenzie (GB) is set to wear again for this event which does not look to good.

What can the sire stats tell us about this runners chances here today in this Stakes race? Well in these type of event there is only a insufficient 4% strike rate, which does not sound to good.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Father McKenzie (GB) would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Desert Sport

Desert Sport (USA) is a 2yo from the Robert Cowell stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

So lets just see how the recent trainer stats hold up when they have been entered into 6f events and we can see things have not really be going well with a bush-league strike rate of only 6%.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Ripper Street

Ripper Street (IRE) is a 2yo from the Ed Dunlop stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Regular or acceptable form is the order of the day for Ripper Street (IRE) but did not get into the first three recently at Yarmouth (Gb) in a class 4 to make one of the runners in with a chance.

Trainer and jockey combinations are often used by punters in an attempt to get an advantage and in the case of Ed Dunlop and Richard Kingscote the recent stats show no real benefit with just a ordinary looking strike rate in the region of 11%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Maakaasib

Maakaasib (GB) is a 2yo from the Simon Crisford stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Has form in Stakes races which while not first rate they could be described as satisfactory which suggests that maybe a place is the most likely results for Maakaasib (GB).

Chelmsford (A.W) is a course that is unknown and when this runners trainer has recent sent horses to race on these types of course there has been only an acceptable success rate.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Precious Plum

Precious Plum (GB) is a 2yo from the Chris Dwyer stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

First thing I noticed when looking at its recent form was a race at Chelmsford (A.W) (Gb when it worn the same piece of headgear, on that occasion it did show enough to suggest it can be winning here.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Precious Plum (GB) we see it is out of the sire by the name Equiano (FR) who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 14% when running in Stakes races.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Erissimus Maximus

Erissimus Maximus (FR) is a 2yo from the Chris Dwyer stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Jockeys record can tell us how likely they are of winning by looking at past results and the upshot of the matter is that Irineu Goncalves has a discouraging strike rate of 6% in Stakes events.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Law Power

Law Power (GB) is a 2yo from the Sir Mark Prescott Bt stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Had a recent run at Windsor (Gb) when it carried a similar weight when unplaced in a unremarkable race and that about sums things up for this runner, touchstone.

The trainer of this runner does not have any outstanding recent results when their runners have carried a weight near what this one is set to lump around here today and stats appear to be intermediate.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Ruby’s Day

Ruby’s Day (GB) is a 7yo from the David Brown stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Ripon (Gb) when Ruby’s Day (GB) put in a meritorious display when applied with No Headgear which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

One of the main candidates in this event and appears to have what would be called a first rate chance based on the Jadwiz rating and other factors.
