CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE 8-50 Race Date 19/07/16 | Horse Racing

CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE FORM

Thomas Blossom

Thomas Blossom (IRE) is a 6yo from the Ali Stronge stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

So how can we find a winning approach in this race? Well one of the things I have noticed with this runner is that the was the exquisite display put up at Lingfield (A.W) (Gb) which at first glance may not show too much, but that course and this are both unknown courses which means we have a excellent base on which to proceed.

Combination time and both trainer and jockey appear to be getting on very well and have produced a distinguished strike rate of 25% in the last twelve months which makes this partnership look outstanding.

With some notable form to its name Thomas Blossom (IRE) looks to be the one to be on for this 16f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Kirkman

Kirkman (IRE) is a 5yo from the Peter Hiatt stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Does not have one of the highest Jadwiz ratings in this race and would possible be seen as more of an each way chance based on form that was on display when running in a Handicap race on the 21/07/2014 when finishing 1st.

Peter Hiatt record in Handicap races recently can be described as ailing with a low strike rate of only 5% being recorded.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

King Olav

King Olav (UAE) is a 11yo from the Tony Carroll stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

As we know Chelmsford (A.W) is a unknown course and having tolerable form on these types of courses does help but in the case of King Olav (UAE) I’m not quite so sure its races at Kempton (A.W) (Gb) when running over 11f would be seen as a stand out result.

This runner is has an average chance and the stats which demonstrate this best are the sires offspring when racing in Handicap event and over the last twelve months there has been a 10% strike rate.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Apollo Eleven

Apollo Eleven (IRE) is a 7yo from the Michael Appleby stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

With ailing form and a below average Jadwiz rating is there anything on which to recommended a bet is in order for Apollo Eleven (IRE). Maybe today’s weight may help after all it did run a nice race when finishing 1st on the 16/03/2015 but that performance gives the impression of being inferior to what is required.

General form for this runner is detrimental and it’s the same story when looking at the results for the offspring for the sire, this lets us know that there has only been a 4% strike rate for runners when racing as a 7yo.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Michael Appleby yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Lady Makfi

Lady Makfi (IRE) is a 4yo from the Johnny Farrelly stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 16f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

So we know that this is a Handicap race so having a runner such as Lady Makfi (IRE) on our side could be what we are looking for, after all it was this type of race where it finished 1st recently at Chelmsford (A.W) (Gb, so looks a runner who is capable.

Accomplished stats is what we have for this sire and in particular when racing in Handicap races which shows a fine recent record of 15%.

By no means the top rated here for this race but its not that far off and with the form shown so far could not really be left out of the reckoning here for this race at Chelmsford (A.W).

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

La Fritillaire

La Fritillaire (GB) is a 4yo from the James Given stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Chelmsford (A.W).

Looking for something different then La Fritillaire (GB) could be the one, it has what could be called middle of the road form but does have the advantage of finishing 2nd at Great Leighs (A.W) ( which is a unknown course the same as Chelmsford (A.W).

Think we will look at jockey stats this time for this Handicap race and in doing so we find that at 14% the strike rate for the last twelve month is not great but more average.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.
