FFOS LAS RACECOURSE 3-30 Race Date 19/07/16 | Horse Racing

FFOS LAS RACECOURSE FORM

Honour Promise

Honour Promise (IRE) is a 4yo from the Bernard Llewellyn stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 10f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

So what chance does Honour Promise (IRE) on its overall form? Well ailing would be how its form could be described with only one small glimmer of light being its race at Chepstow (Gb) which while not recent it did manage to finish 1st in that class 6 event.

With some ailing or insufficient trainer stats recorded over today’s race distance of 10f Bernard Llewellyn does not appear to have what it takes to get a high level of winners over this distance.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Yamllik

Yamllik (GB) is a 4yo from the Brian Barr stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 10f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

So how can we find a winning approach in this race? Well one of the things I have noticed with this runner is that the was the exquisite display put up at Wolverhampton (A.W) which at first glance may not show too much, but that course and this are both left handed courses which means we have a excellent base on which to proceed.

Looks to be one of the main contenders here in this race with admirable form lines to back up its rating would look to have a top-notch chance of taking this event and would be a worthy selection.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Roman De Brut

Roman De Brut (IRE) is a 4yo from the Daniel Mark Loughnane stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 10f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Some horses can handle carrying large loads while other can’t so if we can find an excellent run where there were similar weights were involved it would be an valuable extra bonus and in this case we need to look no further than its outing at Wolverhampton (A.W) when placed 1st.

With some notable form to its name Roman De Brut (IRE) looks to be the one to be on for this 10f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Pastoral Star

Pastoral Star (GB) is a 3yo from the Hughie Morrison stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 10f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Another runner and with this one we see it does have recent form and although not as good as others may have place claims based on its 3rd at Windsor (Gb) in a Flat.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Cautious Optimism

Cautious Optimism (GB) is a 3yo from the William Muir stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 10f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Cautious Optimism (GB) the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Nottingham (Gb) on the 14/08/2015 it carried 09-05 to fill the 2nd spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

Cautious Optimism (GB) wears a No Headgear for this race and recently I would say that trainer William Muir has not really been producing enough winners when fitted with this type of headgear to warrant top marks and goes down as having a basic chance.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Frivolous Lady

Frivolous Lady (IRE) is a 3yo from the David Evans stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 10f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

This is a class 6 race and it helps to know that a runner has form when running in these type of events and with Frivolous Lady (IRE) it does have some suitable outings over the last twelve months on which to make a decision. One of these races in which it put in a typical but has to be said undistinguished run was at Wolverhampton (A.W) when finishing 1st but as I said that form would be classed as ordinary.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Flat and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Flutterbee

Flutterbee (GB) is a 4yo who looks to have some fine form for this Stakes race and today is ridden by Steve Drowne.

One of the things that came to light when looking through the form for this runner was today’s weight of 09-05 which is very similar to the weight carried on the 14/09/2015 when finishing 1st and would look to have an above average chance for this event.

This is a Stakes race and looking at the trainer stats for these races show that recently George Baker has a praiseworthy strike rate of 20%.

After mixing in all the form lines for this runner the conclusion would be one who would reward an each way investment provided we can get the required odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

New Colours

New Colours (GB) is a 5yo from the Linda Perratt stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 12f race which taking part here at Musselburgh.

New Colours (GB) did have a good result when carrying 08-13 and finishing 1st on the 18/12/2013 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

A satisfactory set of stats is what we have for today’s jockey when ridding runners fitted with this piece of headgear and over the last twelve month the strike rate has been 14% which looks run of the mill.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.
