WORCESTER RACECOURSE 3-30 Race Date 21/07/16 | Horse Racing

WORCESTER RACECOURSE FORM

Changing The Guard

Changing The Guard (GB) is a 10yo from the Barry Brennan stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Worcester.

What form does Changing The Guard (GB) have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 18/03/2016 when it finished 1st. On that day it was racing over 16f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

So stats time and these are for today’s sire who is King’s Best (USA) and the over results are average for today’s type of race, another words, run of the mill.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Nearest The Pin

Nearest The Pin (IRE) is a 11yo from the Dai Williams stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Worcester.

Does not have one of the highest Jadwiz ratings in this race and would possible be seen as more of an each way chance based on form that was on display when running in a Handicap race on the 26/09/2014 when finishing 1st.

Time for some stats and in this case the trainers record lets us know this runners chances of success here are below average due to the fact that Dai Williams only has a 4% strike rate in Hurdle races.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Discay

Discay (GB) is a 7yo from the Philip Kirby stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Worcester.

This is a Hurdle race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Worcester (Gb) on the 29/07/2014 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

This runner is has an average chance and the stats which demonstrate this best are the sires offspring when racing in Handicap event and over the last twelve months there has been a 7% strike rate.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Authorized Too

Authorized Too (GB) is a 5yo from the Noel Williams stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Sometimes a runner can seem to be head and shoulders above others in a race and this would be one of them based on its outings to date, one of these that proves the point would be when it raced at Yarmouth (Gb) and came in 1st in a Handicap and this looked a notable event.

One of the main candidates in this event and appears to have what would be called a first rate chance based on the Jadwiz rating and other factors.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Shimba Hills

Shimba Hills (GB) is a 5yo from the Lawney Hill stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Worcester.

Does not have one of the highest Jadwiz ratings in this race and would possible be seen as more of an each way chance based on form that was on display when running in a Handicap race on the 05/08/2014 when finishing 1st.

A runners form can tell you about its ability but we also need to know how well the trainers string have been performing in the type of race that they are due to run in and with Lawney Hill stables strike rate of only 5% over the last year for Hurdle events things are looking unproductive.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Miss Sassypants

Miss Sassypants (GB) is a 7yo from the Seamus Mullins stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Worcester.

None recent form is not always ideal and this is probably the best way of looking at a race that Miss Sassypants (GB) took part in on the 21/07/2013 when finishing 1st, ok so the race took place in the month of the year which could been its about to hit top form again but with a below average Jadwiz rating this one does look to be below par.

Course rotation at Worcester is left handed and checking the overall trainer stats reveals a deficient strike rate of only 6%.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Miss Sassypants (GB) would be classed as having a below average chance.

Destiny’s Gold

Destiny’s Gold (IRE) is a 6yo from the George Baker stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Worcester.

So we have a nice recent run over this distance which took place at Worcester (Gb) on GOOD (Good to fi when finishing 1st, looked an unremarkable type of race but could classed as acceptable.

This is a Hurdle race and the sires record when its progeny have raced in these type of events over the last twelve months has been 9%.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Boss Des Mottes

Boss Des Mottes (FR) is a 5yo from the Dan Skelton stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

So for today’s event we have a Handicap race which is a bonus because this is the same as was encountered on the 12/07/2016 when racing at Worcester (Gb), on that day it put up what would be described as a sterling performance to grab 1st place.

So moving on and now lets take a look at the recent trainer stats when they have had runners competing in 16f events and results look excellent for Boss Des Mottes (FR) as Dan Skelton has over the last year recorded a 21% strike rate.

Looks to be one of the main contenders here in this race with admirable form lines to back up its rating would look to have a top-notch chance of taking this event and would be a worthy selection.

Royal Plaza

Royal Plaza (GB) is from the Alan King and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Worcester

Some splendid form over today’s race distance of 16f and while the race at Lingfield (A.W) (Gb) on the 24/11/2015 may not be right up to the minute but it was a praiseworthy ride by Wayne Hutchinson on that occasion.

Skilled runner who has some fine stats where the sire is concerned and especially in Hurdle events where over the last twelve months it has enjoyed a 16% strike rate.

With some efficient and praiseworthy form to its name this would most likely be included in most short lists and who would I be to argue and I’m sure Alan King with have this one fit and ready to be battle.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Juste Pour Nous

Juste Pour Nous (GB) is a 3yo from the Mark Johnston stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 10f race which taking part here at Sandown.

This is a class 4 race and it helps to know that a runner has form when running in these type of events and with Juste Pour Nous (GB) it does have some suitable outings over the last twelve months on which to make a decision. One of these races in which it put in a typical but has to be said undistinguished run was at Hamilton (Gb) when finishing 1st but as I said that form would be classed as ordinary.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 12%.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.
