UTTOXETER RACECOURSE 3-15 Race Date 22/07/16 | Horse Racing

UTTOXETER RACECOURSE FORM

Gwili Spar

Gwili Spar (GB) is a 8yo from the Laura Hurley stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

So what chance does Gwili Spar (GB) on its overall form? Well ailing would be how its form could be described with only one small glimmer of light being its race at Towcester (Gb) which while not recent it did manage to finish 2nd in that class 5 event.

A runners form can tell you about its ability but we also need to know how well the trainers string have been performing in the type of race that they are due to run in and with Laura Hurley stables strike rate of only 5% over the last year for Hurdle events things are looking unproductive.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Right Enough

Right Enough (GB) Gelding who for this race has Charlie Poste on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good

So we know that this is a Handicap race so having a runner such as Right Enough (GB) on our side could be what we are looking for, after all it was this type of race where it finished 1st recently at Uttoxeter (Gb), so looks a runner who is capable.

A accomplished competitor for an event like this and also one who appears to have a chance, not top rated but then again not to far away and when you through in its splendid form it all adds up to a worthy participant.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Almagest

Almagest (GB) is a 8yo from the Robert Stephens stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Ripon (Gb) on the 05/08/2014 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

Stats can play there part in form studying and I have looked to find some suitable results in which to sum up this ones chances. The best one appears to be when Ciaran Gethings is ridding a runner carrying around this sort of weight the recent strike rate is only average or run of the mill.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

My Diamond

My Diamond (IRE) is a 5yo from the Laura Young stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

With ailing form and a below average Jadwiz rating is there anything on which to recommended a bet is in order for My Diamond (IRE). Maybe today’s weight may help after all it did run a nice race when finishing 3rd on the 28/05/2015 but that performance gives the impression of being inferior to what is required.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Etania

Etania (GB) is a 8yo from the Ian Williams stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

Over the last twelve months I can see some excellent form on which to recommend this runner especially over today’s distance of 23f, one of these races in which this Mare put in a sterling effort was at Uttoxeter (Gb) on the 20/09/2015 and finished 1st on that occasion which looked to be notable.

Taking breeding into account can get us that extra price of information required in which to make a decision and in this case the sire King’s Theatre (IRE) has some outstanding results when Tom O’Brien has been ridding, these stats show a 31% strike rate.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Ian Williams stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Amber Flush

Amber Flush (GB) is a 7yo from the Martin Smith stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

This is a class 5 race and it helps to know that a runner has form when running in these type of events and with Amber Flush (GB) it does have some suitable outings over the last twelve months on which to make a decision. One of these races in which it put in a typical but has to be said undistinguished run was at Huntingdon (Gb) when finishing 1st but as I said that form would be classed as ordinary.

So moving on a bit and a quick mention about this Hurdle race and jockey Thomas Cheesman who in these types of races over the last twelve months has not performed with finesse, only an average looking strike rate of 8% has been recorded.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Leaving Las Vegas

Leaving Las Vegas (GB) is a 5yo from the William Kinsey stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

Some runners have a weight range where they can either run well or badly and in the case of Leaving Las Vegas (GB) today’s weight falls onto the not so good range based on its run at Uttoxeter (Gb) when it carried 11-04.

Now for stats and these appear to be detrimental, at least when the sires offspring have been entered into Hurdle races, over the last twelve months it has only record an inferior strike rate of 6%.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Just Like Dylan

Just Like Dylan (IRE) is a 5yo from the Barry Murtagh stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

Class counts the saying goes but in the case of its recent outing at Hexham (Gb) when racing in the same class of race as today’s the result only looked to be bog standard and on form it looks a place maybe the best result.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 12%.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Lady Vivona

Lady Vivona (GB) Mare who for this race has Brian Hughes on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good

Had a recent Hurdle race in which it came in a splendid 2nd and a repeat of that form would give this one an above average chance.

Recent results show that when Brian Hughes is on board a 8yo runner the stats look to be in our favour and at the current strike rate of 17% appears to be valuable form.

One for your short list I feel and looks to have the form which would enable it to be in the shake up, there maybe others with higher ratings but this one still looks to have a chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Crinkle Crags

Crinkle Crags (IRE) is a 6yo from the Nicky Richards stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

This is a Hurdle race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Sedgefield (Gb) on the 10/03/2015 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

That Man Of Mine

That Man Of Mine (IRE) is a 4yo from the Mike Sowersby stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Wolverhampton (A.W) on the 15/01/2015 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

Some types of events a trainer can have good stats to back up a runners form but in this case of Mike Sowersby Hurdle races have not really produced the goods over the last year.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Madam Be

Madam Be (GB) is a 6yo from the Brian Barr stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Lords Park Star

Lords Park Star (IRE) is a 7yo from the Nicholas Pomfret stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

Recent form with the right weight is what this one can boast but digging a little deeper we can see that its recent race at Southwell (Gb) may not of been as good as first thought and overall form does not seem to be good enough.

Trevor Whelan who is today’s jockey has some insufficient recent stats which show when ridding runners carrying a weight in the region of today’s their strike rate has only been a substandard 6%.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Lords Park Star (IRE) would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

King’s Song

King’s Song (FR) is a 6yo from the David Dennis stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 23f race which taking part here at Uttoxeter.

Some horses can handle carrying large loads while other can’t so if we can find an excellent run where there were similar weights were involved it would be an valuable extra bonus and in this case we need to look no further than its outing at Ludlow (Gb) when placed 1st.

Hurdle race for both horse and jockey to contend with here and as far as Sam Twiston-Davies is concerned there should be no problem due to their recent success rate of 37% in this type of event.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the David Dennis stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Mix And Mingle

Mix And Mingle (IRE) is a 3yo from the Chris Wall stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Ascot.

Another runner who’s form does not seem to be good enough for this race and the only good news would be its finishing position in a race that took place at Newmarket (Gb) when it carried 08-09 to finish 1st. This is a similar sort of weight that it is set to carry today so could possible run a nice race.

Glancing at the recent jockey stats in Flat races we see today’s jockey does not have a great set of results, in fact it’s a discouraging 6%.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.
