PERTH RACECOURSE 2-10 Race Date 05/09/16 | Horse Racing

PERTH RACECOURSE FORM

Presenting Julio

Presenting Julio is a 8yo from the Liam Lennon stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 23f race which taking part here at Perth.

Has an above average rating and looks a proficient runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Trainers can do well in certain types of races and enter their horses to make the most of it which is what Liam Lennon has done here for this Hurdle event. The trainer will already know that their record shows a superior strike rate of 15% for this type of race.

Capable of putting in a superior run here and while this one is not at the very top it does have some praiseworthy form to its name which means it would at least be worthy candidate for a short list.

Breezy Kin

Breezy Kin is a 8yo from the Sally Randell stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Perth.

Below par form is what this runner looks to have and not one to have great faith, however did demonstrate a liking for a class 5 race when filling the 1st spot in a race at Stratford on the 14/09/2015.

Jockeys can sometimes have an optimum weight range where they have a high strike rate, but in the case of Miss B Hampson today’s weight is not in their correct range and the strike rate looks insufficient.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Sally Randell yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

St Gregory

St Gregory is a 8yo from the Nicky Richards stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Perth.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Cartmel on the 19/07/2014 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 12%.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

This Thyne Jude

This Thyne Jude is a 8yo from the Lucy Normile stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Perth.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of This Thyne Jude we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 5 race at Perth a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

Quick look at the stats for the trainer and jockey combination and we see a strike rate of 8% over the last twelve month which is a regular sort of mark.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Tawan

Tawan is a 5yo from the Brian Rothwell stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Perth.

So what chance does Tawan on its overall form? Well ailing would be how its form could be described with only one small glimmer of light being its race at Beverley which while not recent it did manage to finish 3rd in that class 5 event.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Lilywhite Gesture

Lilywhite Gesture is a 7yo from the Gordon Elliott stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Form for the runner is recent and also has the advantage that its run at Sedgefield was the same type of race which give us an exquisite start to our fact finding mission and see no reason why Richard Johnson could keep this one out of a place.

Lilywhite Gesture is a 7yo and runners who are out of the sire Presenting are currently hitting a strike rate of 25%.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Gordon Elliott stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Drop A Gear

Drop A Gear is a 6yo from the Lucinda Russell stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 23f race which taking part here at Perth.

Exemplary Handicap form is what I feel this one can offer which will compliment a race of this nature and also enhance its chance of taking the winners prize back to Lucinda Russell training yard. While its race at Wetherby on the 30/10/2015 is not the most recent it does prove it can be taken seriously.

One of the main candidates in this event and appears to have what would be called a first rate chance based on the Jadwiz rating and other factors.

Solway Trigger

Solway Trigger is a 7yo from the Lisa Harrison stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Perth.

Below par form is what this runner looks to have and not one to have great faith, however did demonstrate a liking for a class 5 race when filling the 2nd spot in a race at Perth on the 07/09/2015.

Weight has its say in racing the same as other factors and today Solway Trigger has 10-01 which is not good considering that over the last twelve months the jockey stats only show a 4% strike when carrying around about this weight.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Lady Vivona

Lady Vivona is a 8yo from the Lisa Harrison stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Perth.

Has form in Handicap races which while not first rate they could be described as satisfactory which suggests that maybe a place is the most likely results for Lady Vivona.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Lady Vivona we see it is out of the sire by the name Overbury who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 9% when running in Handicap races.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Harry Angel

Harry Angel is a 2yo from the Clive Cox stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 6f race which taking part here at Windsor.

Some horses can handle carrying large loads while other can’t so if we can find an excellent run where there were similar weights were involved it would be an valuable extra bonus and in this case we need to look no further than its outing at Ascot when placed 2nd.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.
