BATH RACECOURSE 6-05 Race Date 10/09/16 | Horse Racing

BATH RACECOURSE FORM

Ginzan

Ginzan is a 8yo from the Malcolm Saunders stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

Ginzan did have a good result when carrying 09-03 and finishing 1st on the 05/05/2015 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

The recent stats for Malcolm Saunders tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Edged Out

Edged Out is a 6yo from the Christopher Mason stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

Over the last twelve months Edged Out does have bits of form on which to weigh up its chances including a run at Chepstow on the 29/04/2016, this was over today’s race distance and a good place was achieved on that occasion. But not all races are the same and the overall form for this runner may be seen as unproductive and there are others with better form.

So the course direction for Bath is left handed and over the last twelve months the sire stats for this type of track is below average with only a 6% strike rate.

The overall form for Edged Out looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Free To Love

Free To Love is a 4yo from the Charles Hills stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Some runners can be out of their depth or running races well below what they are capable of which is not usually a good sign but with Free To Love we see some first rate form in the shape of an outing on the 12/09/2015 when placed 1st, that looked an excellent class 4 race so a prime example of a worth selection for today’s event.

Trainer stats on a left handed course have recently shown a high success rate of 25% which makes this one of the top runners in this race.

One of the main candidates in this event and appears to have what would be called a first rate chance based on the Jadwiz rating and other factors.

Princess Tansy

Princess Tansy Filly who for this race has Cameron Noble on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good To Firm

Some say recent form is paramount and for those of you that do then this could be one of the ones on your short list, it is talented and has commendable run in which it finished 1st at Newmarket not so long back over today’s distance.

Gay Kelleway is today’s trainer and when there are runners out of the sire by the name Equiano we find that over the last twelve months there is a 18% strike rate.

This runner looks to have an above average chance in this event and with its superior and dexterous form Princess Tansy looks to be one of the main competitors for this race.

Jumeirah Star

Jumeirah Star is a 3yo from the Robert Cowell stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

With this race being a Handicap we would be looking for good recent form in this type of race and on first glance we can see that Jumeirah Star did finish 1st in such a race but that result may very well not count for much.

Robert Cowell record in Handicap races recently can be described as ailing with a low strike rate of only 5% being recorded.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Powerful Dream

Powerful Dream is a 3yo from the Ronald Harris stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

For this runner I think its best to look at its results for the last twelve month to try and make a case for backing it. Finished 1st in a race that took place on the 29/02/2016 which was a Handicap race, but with that said the form still looks below average.

Now for stats and these appear to be detrimental, at least when the sires offspring have been entered into Flat races, over the last twelve months it has only record an inferior strike rate of 6%.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Powerful Dream would be classed as having a below average chance.

Cersei

Cersei is a 3yo from the David Simcock stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

This should be one of the leading horses in this race and has some excellent to speak of over the last twelve month including when putting in meritorious display when taking part in an event at Redcar when this Filly with the assistance of Jamie Spencer got itself to finish 1st, that was a Flat race and another excellent run would be expected here today.

The conclusion for this runner is that it could safely be added to any short list and could very well be the top selection to land the first prize here.

Space Mountain

Space Mountain is a 3yo from the Mark Johnston stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 14f race which taking part here at Musselburgh.

The one thing that the form book does show for Space Mountain is that with the right headgear, which it has today, it can sometimes run well. With that said I do feel that today will not be one of them as there are far to many other runners with better form lines.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.
