CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE 3-50 Race Date 19/12/16 | Horse Racing

CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE FORM

Nasri

Nasri is a 10yo from the Emma Owen stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Nasri did have a good result when carrying 09-07 and finishing 1st on the 18/08/2015 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Imperial Link

Imperial Link is a 4yo from the John O’Shea stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Does not have the greatest of form and others would be preferred but at least it did handle the unknown course when racing at Leicester on the 21/06/2016, so although its form is substandard at least we know there are no problems with course layout.

Over the last twelve months things have not been great for Edward Greatrex when ridding races over a distance of 7f their strike rate has been below par at 5% and looks discouraging.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Frap

Frap is a 3yo from the Ian Williams stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

For this runner I think its best to look at its results for the last twelve month to try and make a case for backing it. Finished 1st in a race that took place on the 20/05/2016 which was a Handicap race, but with that said the form still looks below average.

The fact that this race is run at Chelmsford may be see as a bad thing, not because the jockey has a poor record here but due to the fact it’s a unknown course where recently there has only been a 6% strike rate for Stevie Donohoe.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Ian Williams yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Powered

Powered is a 3yo from the David Evans stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Taking into account the overall form for Powered it would be considered to have a middle of the road chance as there does not seem to be any real factors which stand out. This is a 7f race and ordinary or passable would be the words I would use and it can be seen as more of an each way chance.

There is only some average recent form where jockey Katherine Glenister is concerned in Handicap races and with a typical strike rate this runner goes down as having a basic chance.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Shahaama

Shahaama Filly who for this race has Luke Morris on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Standard

One of the things that came to light when looking through the form for this runner was today’s weight of 09-04 which is very similar to the weight carried on the 17/06/2016 when finishing 1st and would look to have an above average chance for this event.

Shahaama is a 3yo and this age of runner has seen some very good recent results and currently the strike rate stands at around at 17%.

This runner looks to have an above average chance in this event and with its superior and dexterous form Shahaama looks to be one of the main competitors for this race.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Pearly Queen

Pearly Queen is a 3yo from the Dean Ivory stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Chelmsford is a unknown course and it helps to know if a runner has experience on these types of courses and in the case of Pearly Queen it does and looks acceptable.

Think we will look at jockey stats this time for this Handicap race and in doing so we find that at 7% the strike rate for the last twelve month is not great but more average.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Kenstone

Kenstone is a 3yo from the Adrian Wintle stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

So for today’s event we have a Handicap race which is a bonus because this is the same as was encountered on the 26/11/2016 when racing at Wolverhampton, on that day it put up what would be described as a sterling performance to grab 1st place.

This runner has a trainer and jockey partnership which recently has been working very well to create a top-notch strike rate of 100% which enhances this ones form.

Looks a first class choice to take the winners prize back to Adrian Wintle having proved itself highly capable of taking in a race like this and would expect an admirable display.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Zabdi

Zabdi Colt who for this race has Robert Winston on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Standard

Just the same as humans can be left or right handed horses can have preference for a racecourse which has turns which suit its style of running and can be beneficial more so in jumping but is also valid in flat racing. Zabdi has some worthy form on unknown courses including at Kempton when finishing 3rd.

The sire for this runner has an interesting of not usual stat which show there is a 16% when racing at this time of the year.

With splendid form this runner is rated amongst the top contenders for the honours here at Chelmsford today and appears to be very capable of at least making the frame in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Indiana Dawn

Indiana Dawn is a 3yo from the Robert Stephens stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Chelmsford is a unknown course and it helps to know if a runner has experience on these types of courses and in the case of Indiana Dawn it does and looks acceptable.

The trainer of this runner does not have any outstanding recent results when their runners have carried a weight near what this one is set to lump around here today and stats appear to be intermediate.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Pleadings

Pleadings is a 3yo from the Charlie Wallis stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

This race is taking place at Chelmsford which means a unknown course for Pleadings to contend with which this Gelding failed to do recently at Chelmsford and form looks discouraging.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Humour

Humour is a 5yo from the Christine Dunnett stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

As we know Chelmsford is a unknown course and having tolerable form on these types of courses does help but in the case of Humour I’m not quite so sure its races at Great Leighs when running over 6f would be seen as a stand out result.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Emily Goldfinch

Emily Goldfinch is a 3yo from the Phil McEntee stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Does not have the greatest of form and others would be preferred but at least it did handle the unknown course when racing at Chelmsford on the 07/02/2016, so although its form is substandard at least we know there are no problems with course layout.

Emily Goldfinch is a 3yo and if we check the trainers overall record we can see some discouraging stats for their 3yo runners which currently stands around a strike rate of 5%.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Emily Goldfinch would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Yasood

Yasood is from the Phil McEntee and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Chelmsford

A slight concern was cast over this runners ability recently when racing in a class 6 event at Wolverhampton when it finished out of the first three. That class of race is the same as today’s so you will need to keep that in mind, other than that Jadwiz form ratings would seem to suggest a runner with a fine chance.

Course stats can help when looking for a way to narrow the field down and in this case we know that Chelmsford is a unknown track which is good news where the Phil McEntee runner is concerned as their recent strike rate on these courses is a talented 19%.

An accomplished looking runner who looks capable of landing a race like this, it has the form and ratings suggest that its not to far from the top which all adds up to make this a worthy entrant.
