LINGFIELD RACECOURSE FORM

Marshall Aid

Marshall Aid is a 4yo from the Mark Usher stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 13f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

With this race being a Handicap we would be looking for good recent form in this type of race and on first glance we can see that Marshall Aid did finish 2nd in such a race but that result may very well not count for much.

The jockey has some below average form at the moment in Handicap races which is off putting and is only hitting the target 5% of the time.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Shining Romeo

Shining Romeo is a 5yo from the Denis Quinn stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 13f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Good recent form is what we are after in a race like this but with Shining Romeo this does not look to be the case, in fact its form looks rather discouraging, only spark of light would be that it did fill the 1st spot when wearing the same piece of headgear.

Results for this trainer over the last twelve months is inferior to others when looking at the stats for Handicap races which means the strike rate of 6% looks to be dime-a-dozen.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Light Of Air

Light Of Air is a 4yo from the Gary Moore stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 13f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Has form in Handicap races which while not first rate they could be described as satisfactory which suggests that maybe a place is the most likely results for Light Of Air.

Some average stats for the sire who is Youmzain and an example of these would be found by looking at results over today’s race distance which show an overall passable strike rate of 14%.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Dynamo

Dynamo is a 6yo from the Richard Hughes stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 13f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

What form does Dynamo have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 27/05/2016 when it finished 1st. On that day it was racing over 13f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

Think we will look at jockey stats this time for this Handicap race and in doing so we find that at 10% the strike rate for the last twelve month is not great but more average.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Bamako Du Chatelet

Bamako Du Chatelet is a 6yo from the Ian Williams stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Exemplary Handicap form is what I feel this one can offer which will compliment a race of this nature and also enhance its chance of taking the winners prize back to Ian Williams training yard. While its race at Lingfield on the 19/05/2016 is not the most recent it does prove it can be taken seriously.

Recently Adam Kirby who is the chosen jockey has had a fair amount of luck when ridding runners fitted with a Visor which currently stands at a outstanding strike rate of 45%.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Munsarim

Munsarim is a 10yo from the Lee Carter stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 13f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

We normally find that horses that have managed to finish 1st as this one did on the 08/06/2016 when wearing the same headgear would have sound claims but that race at Kempton looked to be more of a run of the mill type of event.

There is only some average recent form where jockey Robert Winston is concerned in Handicap races and with a typical strike rate this runner goes down as having a basic chance.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Attain

Attain is a 8yo from the Archie Watson stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This particular runner does have some excellent overall form which while not the most recent does still give it an excellent chance, one of these nuggets of form we see is that today’s weight is not to different to the one carried when finishing 1st at Lingfield on the 16/01/2016 and this could very well be a factor here.

Sire stats can often reveal that extra nugget of information which can help use make up our minds and in this case it shows that over the last twelve months its offspring have a 21% strike when racing over today’s race distance.

This runner out of the Archie Watson stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Hannah Just Hannah

Hannah Just Hannah is a 8yo from the Matthew Salaman stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 13f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Results for this trainer over the last twelve months is inferior to others when looking at the stats for Handicap races which means the strike rate of 4% looks to be dime-a-dozen.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Amanto

Amanto is a 7yo from the Ali Stronge stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 13f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Some horses are better suited to handicap races while others are not and in the case of Amanto it looks as if today’s Handicap race will suit, after all it got 2nd place when racing in a similar race at Newbury and that looks to be agreeable form.

A praiseworthy combination of trainer and jockey is what we have here for this race which if we look at their overall success rate we see an accomplished strike rate of 16%.

By no means the top rated here for this race but its not that far off and with the form shown so far could not really be left out of the reckoning here for this race at Lingfield.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Proud Times

Proud Times is a 11yo from the Ali Stronge stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 20f race which taking part here at Leicester.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Proud Times we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 5 race at Uttoxeter a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

So stats time and these are for today’s sire who is Proud Citizen and the over results are average for today’s type of race, another words, run of the mill.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

SOUTHWELL RACECOURSE FORM

Kelvingrove

Kelvingrove is a 7yo from the Jonjo O’Neill stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Southwell.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Yarmouth on the 18/09/2013 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 12%.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Saint John Henry

Saint John Henry is a 7yo from the David Pipe stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Southwell.

What makes this runners form admissible is the fact it got a good result recently when racing at Warwick when claiming the 1st place prize. Had a similar type of weight that day which it is set to carry in this race which gives Saint John Henry on form a modest chance.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 14%.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Nobuttaboy

Nobuttaboy is a 6yo from the Ben Pauling stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Southwell.

Over the last twelve months Nobuttaboy does have bits of form on which to weigh up its chances including a run at Southwell on the 11/12/2016, this was over today’s race distance and a good place was achieved on that occasion. But not all races are the same and the overall form for this runner may be seen as unproductive and there are others with better form.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Sam Red

Sam Red is a 6yo from the Dan Skelton stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 23f race which taking part here at Southwell.

One of the things about recent form is that it helps that the races are both the same and in the case of Sam Red I can tell you that the tiptop display at Wetherby in a class 3 which took place on the 04/02/2017 was the same class as today’s, so appears to have a notable chance here.

Tiptop stats to report for today’s trainer when sending out 6yo and their overall success rate has been outstanding with a top-notch strike rate of 22%.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Dan Skelton stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Minstrels Gallery

Minstrels Gallery is a 8yo from the Lucy Wadham stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Southwell.

Overall form shows that Minstrels Gallery who is a 8yo has run in Hurdle races before and has finished well but this form looks substandard and is not the most up to date and may be best to give this one the swerve.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Lucy Wadham yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Norman The Red

Norman The Red is a 7yo from the Paddy Butler stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 21f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Norman The Red ran at Fontwell, finished 2nd on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

Let take a quick look at the jockey and trainer partnership to see what sort of a chance based on stats this runner has, and it does not look good with a low 6% strike rte which would suggest giving this one a miss.

The overall form for Norman The Red looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

LINGFIELD RACECOURSE 4-35 Race Date 24/02/17 | Horse Racing

LINGFIELD RACECOURSE FORM

Hold Me Tight

Hold Me Tight is a 3yo from the J S Moore stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

The class of race we have here could possible be a problem based on its running on the 12/11/2016 when unplaced in a class 6 at Wolverhampton the same as we have here today.

Some horses run better when young other when older and finding a jockey who gets on with different age groups can pay dividends, however in the particular case Liam Keniry recent success rate is only an average looking 9% for a 3yo.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Arya Stark

Arya Stark is a 3yo from the Tony Carroll stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Has form in Handicap races which while not first rate they could be described as satisfactory which suggests that maybe a place is the most likely results for Arya Stark.

There is only some average recent form where jockey David Probert is concerned in Handicap races and with a typical strike rate this runner goes down as having a basic chance.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Joyful Dream

Joyful Dream is a 3yo from the J S Moore stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

What form does Joyful Dream have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 06/10/2016 when it finished 3rd. On that day it was racing over 7f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

Twelve month stats for the trainer are adequate for this age of runner and while not outstanding with a 8% strike rate may still be good enough to get Joyful Dream a place.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Mr Strutter

Mr Strutter is a 3yo from the John Quinn stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 7f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

This runner not only has tiptop recent form but has also proved it can handle a left handed course which it did in a distinguished fashion when racing at Wolverhampton on the 07/01/2017.

This runner is a 3yo and recent results for today’s jockey show an impressive strike rate of 50% when in charge of runners of this age.

This runner out of the John Quinn stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Tigerfish

Tigerfish is a 3yo from the William Stone stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

So you are looking for a runner with excellent recent form, if that’s the case then Tigerfish fits the bill with its top-notch display at Lingfield over 7f when it got the 1st prize of £2k for the William Stone stable.

Looks a first class choice to take the winners prize back to William Stone having proved itself highly capable of taking in a race like this and would expect an admirable display.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Valley Lodge

Valley Lodge is from the Julia Feilden and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Lingfield

One of the things that came to light when looking through the form for this runner was today’s weight of 08-13 which is very similar to the weight carried on the 18/06/2016 when finishing 2nd and would look to have an above average chance for this event.

Handicap race which looking at the sire stats will suit Valley Lodge very well considering over the last twelve months there has been a 16% strike rate.

Capable of putting in a superior run here and while this one is not at the very top it does have some praiseworthy form to its name which means it would at least be worthy candidate for a short list.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Young Officer

Young Officer is a 3yo from the Brian Meehan stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Some runners have a weight range where they can either run well or badly and in the case of Young Officer today’s weight falls onto the not so good range based on its run at Kempton when it carried 09-05.

The last twelve months worth of stats for this sire are substandard or at least when its offspring have been racing over today’s race distance which is currently set in the region of a 5% strike rate.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Masquerade Bling

Masquerade Bling is a 3yo from the Simon Hodgson stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

What can the sire stats tell us about this runners chances here today in this Handicap race? Well in these type of event there is only a insufficient 6% strike rate, which does not sound to good.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Bartholomew J

Bartholomew J is a 3yo from the Lydia Pearce stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Bartholomew J has satisfactory recent form but nothing that jumps off the page, however it did finish 3rd recently on a left handed course the same as today’s which makes things more tolerable.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Bartholomew J we see it is out of the sire by the name Fast Company who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 14% when running in Handicap races.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Umberto D’Olivate

Umberto D’Olivate is a 9yo from the Robert Walford stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 24f race which taking part here at Warwick.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Fontwell when Umberto D’Olivate put in a meritorious display when applied with No Headgear which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

Moving onto the recent trainer stats and these look excellent for today’s race distance of 24f and with a sterling strike rate of 50% this runner looks top-notch.

This runner out of the Robert Walford stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

KEMPTON RACECOURSE 8-15 Race Date 22/02/17 | Horse Racing

KEMPTON RACECOURSE FORM

Delagoa Bay

Delagoa Bay is a 9yo from the Sylvester Kirk stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Delagoa Bay we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 6 race at Kempton a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

Today’s headgear is marked down as a No Headgear and over the last twelve months when this sires offspring have wore a No Headgear there has been a 13% strike rate, which is an average sort of result.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Shalianzi

Shalianzi is a 7yo from the Chris Gordon stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Does not have one of the highest Jadwiz ratings in this race and would possible be seen as more of an each way chance based on form that was on display when running in a Handicap race on the 20/08/2015 when finishing 1st.

Chris Gordon record in Handicap races recently can be described as ailing with a low strike rate of only 6% being recorded.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Barnacle

Barnacle is a 8yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Joe Fanning.

We need a runner that is competent in the class of race that it is running and in this case it’s a class 6 which means that Barnacle falls under the category after putting up a fine performance at Southwell and while not the latest form does display its talent.

This runner looks to have an above average chance in this event and with its superior and dexterous form Barnacle looks to be one of the main competitors for this race.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Newtown Cross

Newtown Cross is a 7yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Tom Marquand.

So how good is the overall form for Newtown Cross? Well praiseworthy would seem an appropriate word for this above average contender and this was shown in a race when finishing 1st at Lingfield in a 16f race which is the same as today’s distance, so form looks agreeable.

Looking at this runners weight and checking it against the sires current strike rate shows 19% of runners are hitting the right spot.

This runner looks to have an above average chance in this event and with its superior and dexterous form Newtown Cross looks to be one of the main competitors for this race.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Last Summer

Last Summer is a 6yo from the Grace Harris stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Last Summer we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 6 race at Worcester a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

A satisfactory set of stats is what we have for today’s jockey when ridding runners fitted with this piece of headgear and over the last twelve month the strike rate has been 8% which looks run of the mill.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Money Talks

Money Talks is a 7yo from the Michael Madgwick stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Fitting of headgear is normally done to help the runner try and get the job done but if the jockey such as Daniel Muscutt has only a recent strike rate of 13% when ridding horses wearing a type of head covering it does not inspire confidence, after all its only a standard sort of success rate.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Shan Dun na nGall

Shan Dun na nGall is a 6yo from the Amy Murphy stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Some runners can be out of their depth or running races well below what they are capable of which is not usually a good sign but with Shan Dun na nGall we see some first rate form in the shape of an outing on the 10/12/2016 when placed 1st, that looked an excellent class 6 race so a prime example of a worth selection for today’s event.

An interesting stats for this runners sire is the fact that recent results show that when the runner has been trained by Amy Murphy there is a 50% exceptional strike rate.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Night Generation

Night Generation is a 5yo from the Chris Gordon stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Overall form for Night Generation is generally unproductive and inferior to others in this race and while it has some reasonable results over this distance namely when finishing 1st on the 01/10/2015 it would be seen as more of a each way or long shot.

Wears a here today and by checking the sires results over the last twelve months we can see some stats which look discouraging.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Tarakkom

Tarakkom is a 5yo from the Peter Hiatt stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Overall form for Tarakkom is generally unproductive and inferior to others in this race and while it has some reasonable results over this distance namely when finishing 1st on the 11/01/2016 it would be seen as more of a each way or long shot.

Jockey stats time again and David Parkes does not have a great record with 5yo runners, in fact their record shows only a substandard strike rate of 4%.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Tarakkom would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Le Tissier

Le Tissier is a 4yo from the Michael Attwater stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Some runners can be out of their depth or running races well below what they are capable of which is not usually a good sign but with Le Tissier we see some first rate form in the shape of an outing on the 27/04/2016 when placed 2nd, that looked an excellent class 6 race so a prime example of a worth selection for today’s event.

Looks to be one of the runners here in which an investment could very well pay off with an excellent rating and some notable form to its name for this Handicap event.

TAUNTON RACECOURSE FORM

Monsieur Gibraltar

Monsieur Gibraltar is a 6yo from the Mrs Rose Loxton stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 16f race which taking part here at Taunton.

This particular runner does have some excellent overall form which while not the most recent does still give it an excellent chance, one of these nuggets of form we see is that today’s weight is not to different to the one carried when finishing 1st at Newton Abbot on the 04/04/2015 and this could very well be a factor here.

Some of the top trainers have better records in non-handicap races and therefore it can pay to check their stats to see where they have the most success and in the case of Mrs Rose Loxton I can inform you that over the last twelve months they have a 22% for Stakes races such as today’s.

Looks to be one of the main contenders here in this race with admirable form lines to back up its rating would look to have a top-notch chance of taking this event and would be a worthy selection.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Lamb’s Cross

Lamb’s Cross is a 11yo from the G Hiscock stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Taunton.

With ailing form and a below average Jadwiz rating is there anything on which to recommended a bet is in order for Lamb’s Cross. Maybe today’s weight may help after all it did run a nice race when finishing 1st on the 22/11/2013 but that performance gives the impression of being inferior to what is required.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the G Hiscock yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Parkam Jack

Parkam Jack is a 11yo from the Mrs Kayley Woollacott stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Taunton.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Parkam Jack we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 6 race at Newton Abbot a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Ballytober

Ballytober is a 11yo from the Ian Prichard stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Taunton.

Ballytober did have a good result when carrying 11-11 and finishing 1st on the 07/05/2014 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

Allotted 11-11 here today and is that weight acceptable? Well taking into account the sires overall record I would say that with a 9% for that sort of weight range it could be classed as intermediate.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Delta Borget

Delta Borget is a 12yo from the L Jefford stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 16f race which taking part here at Taunton.

One of the things that came to light when looking through the form for this runner was today’s weight of 12-01 which is very similar to the weight carried on the 11/03/2016 when finishing 1st and would look to have an above average chance for this event.

Overall trainer record looks to be accomplished with a success rate of 20% when having runners over today’s race distance which goes well with the form for Delta Borget.

One for your short list I feel and looks to have the form which would enable it to be in the shake up, there maybe others with higher ratings but this one still looks to have a chance.

Court In Session

Court In Session is a 12yo from the Mrs Annabel Brook stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Taunton.

With ailing form and a below average Jadwiz rating is there anything on which to recommended a bet is in order for Court In Session. Maybe today’s weight may help after all it did run a nice race when finishing 3rd on the 06/11/2013 but that performance gives the impression of being inferior to what is required.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Court In Session would be classed as having a below average chance.

Birch Vale

Birch Vale is a 5yo from the Donald McCain stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Wetherby.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Birch Vale we see it is out of the sire by the name Presenting who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 10% when running in Stakes races.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

NEWCASTLE RACECOURSE 4-25 Race Date 17/02/17 | Horse Racing

NEWCASTLE RACECOURSE FORM

Vogueatti

Vogueatti is a 4yo from the Marco Botti stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 10f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

What makes this runners form admissible is the fact it got a good result recently when racing at Chelmsford when claiming the 1st place prize. Had a similar type of weight that day which it is set to carry in this race which gives Vogueatti on form a modest chance.

Twelve month stats show that when the offspring out of today’s sire race over 10f there has been a tolerable strike rate of 14%.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Mariee

Mariee is a 4yo from the Mark Johnston stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 10f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Mariee ran at Chelmsford, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Mariee would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Footlight

Footlight is a 4yo from the Richard Fahey stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 10f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

Exemplary Handicap form is what I feel this one can offer which will compliment a race of this nature and also enhance its chance of taking the winners prize back to Richard Fahey training yard. While its race at Southwell on the 10/03/2016 is not the most recent it does prove it can be taken seriously.

Combination here today is Paul Hanagan ridding for Richard Fahey and recent stats for this partnership shows a distinguished strike rate of 27%.

The conclusion for this runner is that it could safely be added to any short list and could very well be the top selection to land the first prize here.

Victoria Pollard

Victoria Pollard is from the Andrew Balding and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Newcastle

So how good is the overall form for Victoria Pollard? Well praiseworthy would seem an appropriate word for this above average contender and this was shown in a race when finishing 1st at Newbury in a 10f race which is the same as today’s distance, so form looks agreeable.

Looking at the trainers recent form over today’s race distance of 10f we see a superior success rate of 20% so appears to be a worthy contender.

This looks to be a good race and one in which Victoria Pollard appears to hold a chance due to the talented form which has been shown in the past and could very well be worth a bet.

Mercian Princess

Mercian Princess is a 4yo from the Amy Murphy stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Fakenham.

First thing I noticed when looking at its recent form was a race at Wetherby when it worn the same piece of headgear, on that occasion it did show enough to suggest it can be winning here.

This is a 4yo and if we move over to the stats area we find that the sires offspring when running as a 4yo have a satisfactory strike rate of 12%.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

KELSO RACECOURSE 4-05 Race Date 16/02/17 | Horse Racing

KELSO RACECOURSE FORM

Green Flag

Green Flag Gelding who for this race has Mr D Delahunt on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Heavy

Some horses are better suited to handicap races while others are not and in the case of Green Flag it looks as if today’s Stakes race will suit, after all it got 1st place when racing in a similar race at Ayr and that looks to be agreeable form.

By no means the top rated here for this race but its not that far off and with the form shown so far could not really be left out of the reckoning here for this race at Kelso.

Bang On Time

Bang On Time is a 11yo from the Lynsey Kendall stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Kelso.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Wincanton on the 19/04/2015 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Bang On Time ratings look to be unexceptional.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Premier Portrait

Premier Portrait is a 10yo from the Dr Charles Levinson stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Kelso.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Premier Portrait ran at Worcester, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

This runner is a 10yo which means when looking at the sire stats we can see a detrimental strike rate of only 5% for the offspring who race as a 10yo.

The overall form for Premier Portrait looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Wicklow Lad

Wicklow Lad is a 13yo from the N W Alexander stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Kelso.

The time of year can help some horses in that they can perform well some months but not so well in others and judging this one on its display in a race at Newcastle during this month its overall form might be considered to be modest.

Some sires produce offspring that develop early and there for have good strikes when young, in the case of Silver Patriarch who is today’s sire we can see results that would be classed as ordinary when the runner is a 13yo.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Molten Brown

Molten Brown is a 12yo from the Tony Hogarth stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Kelso.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Molten Brown ran at Cartmel, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Black Thunder

Black Thunder is a 10yo from the Warren Greatrex stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Sometimes a runner can seem to be head and shoulders above others in a race and this would be one of them based on its outings to date, one of these that proves the point would be when it raced at Fontwell and came in 1st in a Stakes and this looked a notable event.

Combination here today is Mr S Waley-Cohen ridding for Warren Greatrex and recent stats for this partnership shows a distinguished strike rate of 100%.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Warren Greatrex stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Jadwiz Note: On top of what has already been said this admirable runner appears to have exceptional and form and also first class stats which all adds up to make this one of the most outstanding bets of the day.

Lady Robyn

Lady Robyn is a 7yo from the Peter Bowen stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 22f race which taking part here at Leicester.

This is a class 4 race and it helps to know that a runner has form when running in these type of events and with Lady Robyn it does have some suitable outings over the last twelve months on which to make a decision. One of these races in which it put in a typical but has to be said undistinguished run was at Southwell when finishing 2nd but as I said that form would be classed as ordinary.

The recent stats for Peter Bowen tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Chase events.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.
