NEWCASTLE RACECOURSE 5-45 Race Date 03/03/17 | Horse Racing

NEWCASTLE RACECOURSE FORM

Fiendish

Fiendish is a 3yo from the Mark Johnston stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Lady Hester

Lady Hester is a 3yo from the John Gosden stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 8f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

So for today’s event we have a Stakes race which is a bonus because this is the same as was encountered on the 20/02/2017 when racing at Wolverhampton, on that day it put up what would be described as a sterling performance to grab 3rd place.

On the stats side we see John Gosden the trainer has some exceptional recent results in Stakes races and has managed to win these races 27% of the time.

One of the main candidates in this event and appears to have what would be called a first rate chance based on the Jadwiz rating and other factors.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Eyes On Asha

Eyes On Asha is a 3yo from the Kevin Ryan stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 8f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

Has an excellent rating and looks a distinguished runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

On the stats side we see Kevin Stott the jockey has some exceptional recent results in Stakes races and has managed to win these races 29% of the time.

With some notable form to its name Eyes On Asha looks to be the one to be on for this 8f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Rosemay

Rosemay is a 3yo from the Iain Jardine stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

Newcastle is a unknown course and it helps to know if a runner has experience on these types of courses and in the case of Rosemay it does and looks acceptable.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Sulafah

Sulafah is a 3yo from the Simon West stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

Below par form is what this runner looks to have and not one to have great faith, however did demonstrate a liking for a class 5 race when filling the 2nd spot in a race at Newmarket on the 19/10/2016.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

R U Mine

R U Mine is a 3yo from the Keith Dalgleish stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 8f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

Has an above average rating and looks a proficient runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

So we have a Stakes race for R U Mine to contend with and with the trainer having proved themselves in the last year with a 16% strike rate there is no reason this can’t be in the shake up.

One for your short list I feel and looks to have the form which would enable it to be in the shake up, there maybe others with higher ratings but this one still looks to have a chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Magic Approach

Magic Approach is a 3yo from the David Simcock stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Magic Approach we see it is out of the sire by the name Piccolo who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 9% when running in Stakes races.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Kodicat

Kodicat is a 3yo from the Kevin Ryan stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

What form does Kodicat have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 26/05/2016 when it finished 3rd. On that day it was racing over 5f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

We know that Kodicat is a 3yo but how well is the trainer currently doing with this age of runner? Average would be the word as the recent strike rate is only in the region of 7%.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.
