LINGFIELD RACECOURSE 2-30 Race Date 08/03/17 | Horse Racing

LINGFIELD RACECOURSE FORM

Fairway To Heaven

Fairway To Heaven is a 8yo from the Michael Wigham stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Overall form for Fairway To Heaven is generally unproductive and inferior to others in this race and while it has some reasonable results over this distance namely when finishing 1st on the 28/06/2014 it would be seen as more of a each way or long shot.

The overall form for Fairway To Heaven looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Silver Springs

Silver Springs is a 4yo from the David Evans stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Overall form for Silver Springs is generally unproductive and inferior to others in this race and while it has some reasonable results over this distance namely when finishing 1st on the 08/08/2015 it would be seen as more of a each way or long shot.

So we have Philip Prince ridding at Lingfield which is a left handed course and the jockeys overall record shows only a 4% strike rate which is below par.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the David Evans yard.

Bush Warrior

Bush Warrior is a 6yo from the Anabel K Murphy stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Bush Warrior we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 6 race at Lingfield a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

Some horses run better when young other when older and finding a jockey who gets on with different age groups can pay dividends, however in the particular case Josephine Gordon recent success rate is only an average looking 14% for a 6yo.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Head Space

Head Space Gelding who for this race has J F Egan on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Standard

So how good is the overall form for Head Space? Well praiseworthy would seem an appropriate word for this above average contender and this was shown in a race when finishing 1st at Kempton in a 6f race which is the same as today’s distance, so form looks agreeable.

A jockey’s ability to get on well with their mounts can be paramount and this can be traced back through the sires form for any runner. In the case of this runner we see that the sire is Invincible Spirit and over a period of time J F Egan has managed a fine strike rate of 15% when ridding the progeny from this sire.

An accomplished looking runner who looks capable of landing a race like this, it has the form and ratings suggest that its not to far from the top which all adds up to make this a worthy entrant.

Burning Thread

Burning Thread is a 10yo from the David Elsworth stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Burning Thread did have a good result when carrying 09-07 and finishing 1st on the 18/10/2015 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Stakes races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Mr Bachster

Mr Bachster is a 12yo from the Kerry Lee stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The race type is often overlooked when studying form but can be a tremendous help, after all we don’t want to be backing horses running in the wrong events. With Mr Bachster we see that there was a top-notch performance in a Chase race which took place at Fontwell and while this may not of been the most up to the minute form it does show outstanding ability which can be put to good use here at Fontwell today.

Combination here today is Mr Richard Patrick ridding for Kerry Lee and recent stats for this partnership shows a distinguished strike rate of 29%.

This runner out of the Kerry Lee stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.
