WARWICK RACECOURSE 4-30 Race Date 12/03/17 | Horse Racing

WARWICK RACECOURSE FORM

Act Four

Act Four is a 9yo from the Matt Sheppard stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Warwick.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Towcester on the 23/04/2013 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Act Four ratings look to be unexceptional.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Serveontime

Serveontime is a 6yo from the Helen Nelmes stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Warwick.

Some detrimental form has been shown over the last twelve months when a Cheekpieces has been fitted and one of those was when unplaced at Newton Abbot when ridden by Paul Moloney and therefore its form is considered to be bush-league.

Allocated weight here today is 11-06 and by checking the offspring’s record for this sire over the last twelve we see a detrimental strike rate of only 5%.

The overall form for Serveontime looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Champion Chase

Champion Chase is a 5yo from the Kim Bailey stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Form for the runner is recent and also has the advantage that its run at Lingfield was the same type of race which give us an exquisite start to our fact finding mission and see no reason why Mikey Hamill could keep this one out of a place.

On the stats side we see Mikey Hamill the jockey has some exceptional recent results in Handicap races and has managed to win these races 22% of the time.

This runner out of the Kim Bailey stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Lickpenny Larry

Lickpenny Larry is a 6yo from the Tom Gretton stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Warwick.

A recent good run in a Hurdle race could help make our minds up about a runner but the problem we have here is while it did have a run on the 11/02/2017 in a Hurdle event it failed to make the frame.

A runners form can tell you about its ability but we also need to know how well the trainers string have been performing in the type of race that they are due to run in and with Tom Gretton stables strike rate of only 6% over the last year for Hurdle events things are looking unproductive.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Actiondancer

Actiondancer is a 6yo from the Henry Oliver stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Warwick.

Over the last twelve months I would say the form for Actiondancer would not be good enough to take this race as there was a below average performance put in on the 02/10/2016 when unplaced over today’s distance. Ok so this may not be the most recent of form but does look a valid reason why this runner should be passed over in favour of others.

This is a Hurdle race and one where recent stats for this trainer have not been going to well, in fact they are considered to be insufficient with only a 6% strike rate being recorded.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Cafe Au Lait

Cafe Au Lait is a 7yo from the Sophie Leech stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Warwick.

This is a Hurdle race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Towcester on the 29/11/2014 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Hurdle and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Monte Wildhorn

Monte Wildhorn is a 9yo from the David Bridgwater stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 16f race which taking part here at Warwick.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Newton Abbot when Monte Wildhorn put in a meritorious display when applied with No Headgear which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

Moving onto the recent trainer stats and these look excellent for today’s race distance of 16f and with a sterling strike rate of 50% this runner looks top-notch.

This runner out of the David Bridgwater stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Akula

Akula is a 10yo from the Barry Leavy stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 16f race which taking part here at Warwick.

Weight can play its part much the same as other factors and having a horse with the right weight makes the form worthy, this is what we have with this runner a splendid performance on the Hurdle when it carried 11-02 to finish 1st. Some may say that the form is not as new as others in the race but it does show it is adept at carrying this sort of weight.

A accomplished competitor for an event like this and also one who appears to have a chance, not top rated but then again not to far away and when you through in its splendid form it all adds up to a worthy participant.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Miracle Cure

Miracle Cure is a 8yo from the Venetia Williams stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Warwick.

Intermediate form over the last twelve months is how things appear to be for Miracle Cure who is a 8yo out of the sire by the name Whipper, or this is how things look when taking par in Handicap races. Did put in a tolerable run at Wincanton on the 17/11/2016 when ridden by Miss L M Turner but the word average does spring to mind.

The recent stats for Venetia Williams tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Hurdle events.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Zara Hope

Zara Hope is a 6yo from the Charlie Longsdon stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Market Rasen.

Intermediate form over the last twelve months is how things appear to be for Zara Hope who is a 6yo out of the sire by the name Stowaway, or this is how things look when taking par in Handicap races. Did put in a tolerable run at Chepstow on the 09/04/2016 when ridden by Graham Watters but the word average does spring to mind.

Think we will look at jockey stats this time for this Handicap race and in doing so we find that at 8% the strike rate for the last twelve month is not great but more average.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.
