CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE 7-50 Race Date 13/03/17 | Horse Racing

CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE FORM

Fantasy Keeper

Fantasy Keeper is a 3yo from the Michael Appleby stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This runner not only has tiptop form but has also proved it can handle a unknown course which it did in a distinguished fashion when racing at Lingfield on the 05/12/2016.

Silvestre De Sousa is ridding a runner out of the Michael Appleby stable and this can be considered a positive in this race as the partnership has had a 25% success rate over the past year.

A runner out of the top draw here and one that looks to be in tiptop shape and ready to produce an exemplary display here at Chelmsford.

Cinque Port

Cinque Port is a 3yo from the Richard Hughes stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Another runner who’s form does not seem to be good enough for this race and the only good news would be its finishing position in a race that took place at Kempton when it carried 09-05 to finish 2nd. This is a similar sort of weight that it is set to carry today so could possible run a nice race.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Eddiebet

Eddiebet is a 3yo from the David O’Meara stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

The fact that this race is run at Chelmsford may be see as a bad thing, not because the jockey has a poor record here but due to the fact it’s a unknown course where recently there has only been a 6% strike rate for Shelley Birkett.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Havelock

Havelock Colt who for this race has Joe Fanning on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Standard

It can sometimes pay dividends to look a bit further back through the form book and in this case we can see that in last year it has performed well on a unknown course, this was at Bath on the 26/04/2016 when William Buick rode this Colt to get the 2nd prize and is to be considered agreeable display of ability.

This is a Stakes race and looking at the trainer stats for these races show that recently Mark Johnston has a praiseworthy strike rate of 15%.

An accomplished looking runner who looks capable of landing a race like this, it has the form and ratings suggest that its not to far from the top which all adds up to make this a worthy entrant.

Rag Tatter

Rag Tatter is a 3yo from the Kevin Ryan stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Rag Tatter the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Nottingham on the 28/07/2016 it carried 09-05 to fill the 2nd spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Rag Tatter we see it is out of the sire by the name Kheleyf who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 12% when running in Stakes races.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Harlequin Storm

Harlequin Storm is a 3yo from the Dean Ivory stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

The overall form for Harlequin Storm shows that there was a race on the 06/02/2017 at Wolverhampton when finishing 3rd that the same piece of headgear was fitted, although I feel that the result on that day was more of what you would call a typical or regular type of an event.

Chelmsford is a course that is unknown and when this runners trainer has recent sent horses to race on these types of course there has been only an acceptable success rate.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Sawlaat

Sawlaat is a 3yo from the Richard Hannon stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Has an excellent rating and looks a distinguished runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

The breeding side of things shows that Clodovil is the sire and when its progeny have run recently in Stakes races there is a first rate 33% strike rate.

With some notable form to its name Sawlaat looks to be the one to be on for this 6f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Anna Medici

Anna Medici is a 3yo from the Sir Mark Prescott Bt stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Today’s jockey is Luke Morris who it has to be said is capable in these types of races but on a unknown course their recent form is only average with a strike rate of 13%.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Kassandra

Kassandra is a 3yo from the Richard Hannon stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

We have a Stakes race here and an established but average looking runner in the shape of Kassandra has form in these types of races and one of these was at Newmarket when finishing unplaced a while back but generally looks average.

We have looked at form and now move on to the recent stats for runners out of the sire when runner on a unknown course which an average strike rate in the order of 12%.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Tilsworth Micky

Tilsworth Micky is a 5yo from the J R Jenkins stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Tilsworth Micky has satisfactory recent form but nothing that jumps off the page, however it did finish 1st recently on a unknown course the same as today’s which makes things more tolerable.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Tilsworth Micky we see it is out of the sire by the name Kheleyf who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 11% when running in Handicap races.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.
