SOUTHWELL RACECOURSE 1-45 Race Date 14/03/17 | Horse Racing

SOUTHWELL RACECOURSE FORM

Gnaad

Gnaad is a 3yo from the Robert Cowell stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

So you are looking for a runner with excellent recent form, if that’s the case then Gnaad fits the bill with its top-notch display at Lingfield over 5f when it got the 2nd prize of £3k for the Robert Cowell stable.

This runner has a trainer and jockey partnership which recently has been working very well to create a top-notch strike rate of 31% which enhances this ones form.

Looks to be one of the main contenders here in this race with admirable form lines to back up its rating would look to have a top-notch chance of taking this event and would be a worthy selection.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Elemento

Elemento is a 3yo from the Phil McEntee stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Southwell.

So we have a Stakes event and a runner with some below par form and one of those below average performances came at Leicester in a 4 Stakes race when it was unplaced.

So lets just see how the recent trainer stats hold up when they have been entered into 5f events and we can see things have not really be going well with a bush-league strike rate of only 4%.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Elemento would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Darvie

Darvie is a 3yo from the David Barron stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 5f race which taking part here at Southwell.

Darvie runs in a class 5 race here today and while this Gelding looks an accomplished type there was a class 5 event in which it took part in when failed to make the first, ok so not bang up to date form but worth noting.

After mixing in all the form lines for this runner the conclusion would be one who would reward an each way investment provided we can get the required odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Hungarian Rhapsody

Hungarian Rhapsody is a 3yo from the Jamie Osborne stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Southwell.

Had a recent run at Kempton when it carried a similar weight when unplaced in a unremarkable race and that about sums things up for this runner, touchstone.

Today’s jockey is Jamie Spencer who it has to be said is capable in these types of races but on a left handed course their recent form is only average with a strike rate of 12%.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Stopdworldnletmeof

Stopdworldnletmeof is a 3yo from the David Flood stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Southwell.

Over the past year Stopdworldnletmeof appears to have delivered some ordinary results including an unplaced effort at Bath on the 10/08/2016 when unplaced and makes this ones form look run of the mill.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Joysunny

Joysunny is a 3yo from the Michael Easterby stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Southwell.

We have a Stakes race here and an established but average looking runner in the shape of Joysunny has form in these types of races and one of these was at Catterick when finishing unplaced a while back but generally looks average.

So lets have a look at some recent sire stats and in this case it’s for today’s race distance of 5f which show a bog standard 11% strike rate.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Craig Star

Craig Star is a 7yo from the Donald McCain stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Sedgefield.

Hurdle is on offer here and Craig Star looks to have some agreeable if rather basic form and included in those average runs would be an unplaced effort at Kelso when ridden by Mr T Gillard.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 13%.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.
