CHELTENHAM RACECOURSE 3-30 Race Date 16/03/17 | Horse Racing

CHELTENHAM RACECOURSE FORM

West Approach

West Approach is a 7yo from the Colin Tizzard stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Newbury on the 14/01/2015 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but West Approach ratings look to be unexceptional.

This is a 7yo and if we move over to the stats area we find that the sires offspring when running as a 7yo have a satisfactory strike rate of 10%.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Jezki

Jezki is a 9yo from the Mrs John Harrington stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

The time of year can help some horses in that they can perform well some months but not so well in others and judging this one on its display in a race at Cheltenham during this month its overall form might be considered to be modest.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Ballyoptic

Ballyoptic is a 7yo from the Nigel Twiston-Davies stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

This is a Hurdle race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Ffos Las on the 21/02/2016 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Dedigout

Dedigout is a 11yo from the Gordon Elliott stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

Has an above average rating and looks a proficient runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

So lets move onto the trainer stats for Hurdle races and in the last year we see a 16% strike rate when Gordon Elliott has chosen a runner to compete in these events.

After mixing in all the form lines for this runner the conclusion would be one who would reward an each way investment provided we can get the required odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Agrapart

Agrapart is a 6yo from the Nick Williams stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Agrapart ran at Newbury, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Nick Williams yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Yanworth

Yanworth is a 7yo from the Alan King stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Yanworth ran at Wincanton, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Alan King yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Lil Rockerfeller

Lil Rockerfeller is a 6yo from the Neil King stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Sandown on the 25/04/2015 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Lil Rockerfeller ratings look to be unexceptional.

So stats time and these are for today’s sire who is Hard Spun and the over results are average for today’s type of race, another words, run of the mill.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Cole Harden

Cole Harden is a 8yo from the Warren Greatrex stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

None recent form is not always ideal and this is probably the best way of looking at a race that Cole Harden took part in on the 22/03/2013 when finishing 1st, ok so the race took place in the month of the year which could been its about to hit top form again but with a below average Jadwiz rating this one does look to be below par.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Zarkandar

Zarkandar is a 10yo from the Paul Nicholls stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

Zarkandar did have a good result when carrying 11-10 and finishing 1st on the 16/02/2013 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 12%.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Un Temps Pour Tout

Un Temps Pour Tout is a 8yo from the David Pipe stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

For this runner I think its best to look at its results for the last twelve month to try and make a case for backing it. Finished 1st in a race that took place on the 05/11/2016 which was a Stakes race, but with that said the form still looks below average.

The overall form for Un Temps Pour Tout looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Snow Falcon

Snow Falcon is a 7yo from the Noel Meade stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

Form looks rather substandard for this runner and to give you an example of what I mean take a look at its run on the 11/03/2015, it finished unplaced in a class 1 and a display such as that could be classed as dime-a-dozen.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Clondaw Warrior

Clondaw Warrior is a 10yo from the W P Mullins stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

Has an excellent rating and looks a distinguished runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

So on to the race type which is a Hurdle and if the trainer has a good recent record in these types of races it would mean we have a nice selection. The stats show that W P Mullins has been recently hitting at strike rate of 100% in these type of events so looks as if we have found an excellent runner with both good form and stats.

A runner out of the top draw here and one that looks to be in tiptop shape and ready to produce an exemplary display here at Cheltenham.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Unowhatimeanharry

Unowhatimeanharry is a 9yo from the Harry Fry stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Stakes race it took part in at Fontwell on the 24/02/2013 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

The recent results of the offspring from the sire shows that when its offspring have raced with approximately this weight there is a 11% strike rate which is a regular set of stats.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

The New One

The New One is a 9yo from the Nigel Twiston-Davies stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 23f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

This type of race looks as if suits The New One who is a 9yo and has run some splendid races on which to recommend it can be added to a short list including at Warwick in a Hurdle race, not the most current form but would described as commendable.

Sire stats now and recent ones show a fine 15% strike rate when running in Hurdle event which us some above average form and stats.

With some efficient and praiseworthy form to its name this would most likely be included in most short lists and who would I be to argue and I’m sure Nigel Twiston-Davies with have this one fit and ready to be battle.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Shaneshill

Shaneshill is a 8yo from the W P Mullins stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

One of the things to look for in a race that can be used to find first rate winners is the time of year that it is taking place and with Shaneshill we see that there was an admirable performance put up on the 12/03/2014, which is the same month as we are in now, came in 2nd on that occasion an that would appear to be good enough form for today’s event.

So on to the race type which is a Hurdle and if the trainer has a good recent record in these types of races it would mean we have a nice selection. The stats show that W P Mullins has been recently hitting at strike rate of 100% in these type of events so looks as if we have found an excellent runner with both good form and stats.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Darsi Dancer

Darsi Dancer is a 9yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Sam Coltherd.

Some splendid form over today’s race distance of 23f and while the race at Hexham on the 19/06/2016 may not be right up to the minute but it was a praiseworthy ride by Sam Coltherd on that occasion.

So we have a Handicap race for Darsi Dancer to contend with and with the trainer having proved themselves in the last year with a 18% strike rate there is no reason this can’t be in the shake up.

An accomplished looking runner who looks capable of landing a race like this, it has the form and ratings suggest that its not to far from the top which all adds up to make this a worthy entrant.
