KEMPTON RACECOURSE 1-30 Race Date 18/03/17 | Horse Racing

KEMPTON RACECOURSE FORM

Pivotal Flame

Pivotal Flame is a 4yo from the Pat Phelan stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Pivotal Flame ran at Wolverhampton, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

Allocated weight here today is 10-00 and by checking the offspring’s record for this sire over the last twelve we see a detrimental strike rate of only 6%.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Indispensabelle

Indispensabelle is a 8yo from the Linda Jewell stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Today’s weight for this runner is very similar to the one recently carried at Plumpton when unplaced and that form appears to be how good this runner is and not ideal selection for this race.

A runners form can tell you about its ability but we also need to know how well the trainers string have been performing in the type of race that they are due to run in and with Linda Jewell stables strike rate of only 5% over the last year for Hurdle events things are looking unproductive.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Peggies Venture

Peggies Venture is a 6yo from the Alan King stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

One of the things to look for in a race that can be used to find first rate winners is the time of year that it is taking place and with Peggies Venture we see that there was an admirable performance put up on the 07/03/2016, which is the same month as we are in now, came in 1st on that occasion an that would appear to be good enough form for today’s event.

As we know jockeys play there part and in particular Wayne Hutchinson who when ridding this sires offspring has, in the last twelve month recorded a 27% strike rate.

This runner out of the Alan King stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Casterly Rock

Casterly Rock is a 5yo from the Philip Hobbs stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

First thing I noticed when looking at its recent form was a race at Taunton when it worn the same piece of headgear, on that occasion it did show enough to suggest it can be winning here.

So for this runner lets have a look at the recent trainer record when their horses have been selected to run over 16f and with only an average set of results there will be others more suited.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Miss Joans

Miss Joans is a 4yo from the Pat Phelan stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

There was recently a below average performance over today’s distance when racing at Plumpton when James Best could not get a good enough run to get Miss Joans into the frame and up to date form looks insufficient.

Stakes race here and although the trainer Pat Phelan has entered Miss Joans for this event their stats for these type of races is below par.

The overall form for Miss Joans looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Whin Park

Whin Park is a 5yo from the Ben Pauling stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

So we have a runner with some superior form running in a Hurdle race which is much the same as what happened at Wincanton recently, only problem was it failed to get placed. There may be a good reason for this and if so then Whin Park would appear to be capable of winning here.

There are lots of ways in which we look to enhance a runners form and sometimes easier than others and in the case of Whin Park its trained by Ben Pauling who recently have been enjoying a very good strike rate of 17% when their runners have competed in Hurdle race events.

By no means the top rated here for this race but its not that far off and with the form shown so far could not really be left out of the reckoning here for this race at Kempton.

Old Harry Rocks

Old Harry Rocks is a 5yo from the Harry Fry stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

We normally find that horses that have managed to finish 2nd as this one did on the 12/11/2016 when wearing the same headgear would have sound claims but that race at Uttoxeter looked to be more of a run of the mill type of event.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 8%.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Ruwasi

Ruwasi is a 6yo from the Gary Moore stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Stakes race it took part in at Catterick on the 06/06/2014 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 10%.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Nicely Indeed

Nicely Indeed is a 7yo from the Kim Bailey stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Fontwell when Nicely Indeed put in a meritorious display when applied with No Headgear which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

So on to the race type which is a Hurdle and if the trainer has a good recent record in these types of races it would mean we have a nice selection. The stats show that Kim Bailey has been recently hitting at strike rate of 26% in these type of events so looks as if we have found an excellent runner with both good form and stats.

This runner out of the Kim Bailey stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Trevisani

Trevisani is a 5yo from the Paul Nicholls stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Stakes race it took part in at Kempton on the 14/10/2015 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

This is a 5yo and if we move over to the stats area we find that the sires offspring when running as a 5yo have a satisfactory strike rate of 11%.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Apasionado

Apasionado is from the Stuart Edmunds and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Kempton

Looking through the last twelve months form for Apasionado I can see there was a very good performance put in at Market Rasen when fitted with a No Headgear and with the same here again we can expect another competent ride by Joshua Moore.

Apasionado is out of the sire by the name Mamool and over the last twelve months there is a 20% strike rate for runners over this race distance.

With splendid form this runner is rated amongst the top contenders for the honours here at Kempton today and appears to be very capable of at least making the frame in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Harvey

Harvey is a 6yo from the Laura Mongan stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

First thing I noticed when looking at its recent form was a race at Plumpton when it worn the same piece of headgear, on that occasion it did show enough to suggest it can be winning here.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Hurdle and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Totally Committed

Totally Committed is a 4yo from the Brendan Powell stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

The one thing that the form book does show for Totally Committed is that with the right headgear, which it has today, it can sometimes run well. With that said I do feel that today will not be one of them as there are far to many other runners with better form lines.

The jockey has some below average form at the moment in Stakes races which is off putting and is only hitting the target 5% of the time.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Postbridge

Postbridge is a 6yo from the Warren Greatrex stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 21f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Had a recent race at Plumpton and managed to get into the first three in a Hurdle event and looks to have fair form which looks typical for this type of contest.

So moving on a bit and a quick mention about this Hurdle race and jockey Harry Bannister who in these types of races over the last twelve months has not performed with finesse, only an average looking strike rate of 13% has been recorded.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.
