CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE 5-50 Race Date 23/03/17 | Horse Racing

CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE FORM

Vicky Park

Vicky Park is from the George Margarson and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Chelmsford

With this being a Stakes race it is advisable to have a runner with superior form in these types of events and while Vicky Park does have some splendid form to talk about there was a race on the 17/10/2016 when things did not go so well in this type of race.

Course stats can help when looking for a way to narrow the field down and in this case we know that Chelmsford is a unknown track which is good news where the George Margarson runner is concerned as their recent strike rate on these courses is a talented 20%.

After mixing in all the form lines for this runner the conclusion would be one who would reward an each way investment provided we can get the required odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Midnightly

Midnightly is a 3yo from the Rae Guest stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

The overall form for Midnightly shows that there was a race on the 18/02/2017 at Lingfield when finishing 2nd that the same piece of headgear was fitted, although I feel that the result on that day was more of what you would call a typical or regular type of an event.

We know that Midnightly is a 3yo but how well is the trainer currently doing with this age of runner? Average would be the word as the recent strike rate is only in the region of 14%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Tooty Fruitti

Tooty Fruitti is a 3yo from the Jo Hughes stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Ran in a Stakes recently but out of the placing on that occasion and I feel that there could very well be a repeat of that here again today.

Stakes race here and although the trainer Jo Hughes has entered Tooty Fruitti for this event their stats for these type of races is below par.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Tartufo Classico

Tartufo Classico is a 4yo from the Derek Shaw stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Derek Shaw yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Three C’S

Three C’S is a 3yo from the David Dennis stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Looking for something different then Three C’S could be the one, it has what could be called middle of the road form but does have the advantage of finishing 2nd at Epsom which is a unknown course the same as Chelmsford.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Three C’S we see it is out of the sire by the name Kodiac who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 10% when running in Stakes races.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Athenian Garden

Athenian Garden is a 10yo from the Paddy Butler stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 10f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Does not have one of the highest Jadwiz ratings in this race and would possible be seen as more of an each way chance based on form that was on display when running in a Handicap race on the 20/10/2015 when finishing 1st.

Set to be ridden by Jane Elliott for the Paddy Butler and is a 10yo which may be a problem because the jockeys 6% strike rate over the last twelve months when ridding a 10yo.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.
