LINGFIELD RACECOURSE 2-50 Race Date 29/03/17 | Horse Racing

LINGFIELD RACECOURSE FORM

West Leake

West Leake is a 11yo from the Paul Burgoyne stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Sometimes a runner can seem to be head and shoulders above others in a race and this would be one of them based on its outings to date, one of these that proves the point would be when it raced at Lingfield and came in 1st in a Handicap and this looked a notable event.

This runner out of the Paul Burgoyne stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Spice Boat

Spice Boat is a 5yo from the Paddy Butler stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Does not have one of the highest Jadwiz ratings in this race and would possible be seen as more of an each way chance based on form that was on display when running in a Handicap race on the 27/10/2015 when finishing 2nd.

Handicap race here and although the trainer Paddy Butler has entered Spice Boat for this event their stats for these type of races is below par.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Palace Moon

Palace Moon is a 12yo from the Michael Attwater stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

So what chance does Palace Moon on its overall form? Well ailing would be how its form could be described with only one small glimmer of light being its race at Lingfield which while not recent it did manage to finish 1st in that class 6 event.

With some ailing or insufficient trainer stats recorded over today’s race distance of 8f Michael Attwater does not appear to have what it takes to get a high level of winners over this distance.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

The Special One

The Special One is a 4yo from the Ali Stronge stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

So for today’s event we have a Handicap race which is a bonus because this is the same as was encountered on the 11/03/2017 when racing at Chelmsford, on that day it put up what would be described as a sterling performance to grab 3rd place.

Stats show that when today’s jockey has been racing on a left handed course over the last twelve months there has been a top-notch strike rate of 22%.

Looks a first class choice to take the winners prize back to Ali Stronge having proved itself highly capable of taking in a race like this and would expect an admirable display.

Kristoff

Kristoff is a 4yo from the Jim Boyle stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Wolverhampton on the 25/01/2016 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Sir Jamie

Sir Jamie is a 4yo from the Tony Carroll stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Has form in Handicap races which while not first rate they could be described as satisfactory which suggests that maybe a place is the most likely results for Sir Jamie.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Sir Jamie we see it is out of the sire by the name Monsieur Bond who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 12% when running in Handicap races.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Way Up High

Way Up High is a 5yo from the Steve Flook stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Put in a bush-league type of performance when recently racing at Lingfield with the same piece of headgear which Way Up High is set to wear again for this event which does not look to good.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Living Leader

Living Leader is a 8yo from the Grace Harris stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Living Leader did have a good result when carrying 09-00 and finishing 1st on the 08/04/2015 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Fairy Mist

Fairy Mist is a 10yo from the John Bridger stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Fairy Mist did have a good result when carrying 09-00 and finishing 1st on the 08/07/2014 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

The recent results of the offspring from the sire shows that when its offspring have raced with approximately this weight there is a 7% strike rate which is a regular set of stats.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Fishergate

Fishergate is from the Richard Rowe and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Lingfield

Some horses are natural born racers while others need a bit of persuading to bring out the best in them and this often comes in the form some type of headgear and if we look back to a race that took place on 18/06/2015 we see it finished 1st with a No Headgear, same as today.

An accomplished looking runner who looks capable of landing a race like this, it has the form and ratings suggest that its not to far from the top which all adds up to make this a worthy entrant.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Coup De Vent

Coup De Vent is a 6yo from the John O’Shea stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

So what chance does Coup De Vent on its overall form? Well ailing would be how its form could be described with only one small glimmer of light being its race at Lingfield which while not recent it did manage to finish 1st in that class 6 event.

We know Coup De Vent is set to carry 09-02 but over the last twelve months the trainers runners when carrying around this weight have only prevailed 6% of the time which is off putting.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Boots And Spurs

Boots And Spurs is a 8yo from the Scott Dixon stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Southwell.

Taking into account the overall form for Boots And Spurs it would be considered to have a middle of the road chance as there does not seem to be any real factors which stand out. This is a 8f race and ordinary or passable would be the words I would use and it can be seen as more of an each way chance.

We have looked at form and now move on to the recent stats for runners out of the sire when runner on a left handed course which an average strike rate in the order of 8%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.
