KELSO RACECOURSE 2-10 Race Date 03/04/17 | Horse Racing

KELSO RACECOURSE FORM

Just Brooke

Just Brooke is a 7yo from the N W Alexander stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 18f race which taking part here at Kelso.

Trainer N W Alexander has opted to fix a No Headgear much them as at Ayr on the 12/03/2016 when unplaced and with form that looks undistinguished this runner only appears to have a modest chance.

The recent results of the offspring from the sire shows that when its offspring have raced with approximately this weight there is a 10% strike rate which is a regular set of stats.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

The Delray Munky

The Delray Munky is a 5yo from the Iain Jardine stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

We have a Stakes race here and recent form shows that The Delray Munky took part in a similar race at Kelso but was unplaced. However this distinguished 5yo Mare will be better today and I see no reason to leave out this one for the reckoning.

The conclusion for this runner is that it could safely be added to any short list and could very well be the top selection to land the first prize here.

Ceegem

Ceegem is a 5yo from the Lucinda Russell stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 18f race which taking part here at Kelso.

Some runners have a weight range where they can either run well or badly and in the case of Ceegem today’s weight falls onto the not so good range based on its run at Ayr when it carried 10-11.

The record of this runners sire is discouraging with only a 6% strike rate at this time of the year and with some below par results like these it would be an idea to concentrate on others in the race.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Here Comes Hovis

Here Comes Hovis is a 6yo from the Sandy Forster stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 18f race which taking part here at Kelso.

So we have a Stakes event and a runner with some below par form and one of those below average performances came at Kelso in a 5 Stakes race when it was unplaced.

Jockeys does well in some type of events and not so good in others, this is a Hurdle race therefore falls into the not so good category. Over the last twelve months Jan Faltejsek has what is seen as a unproductive strike rate of only 4% which is below average.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Here Comes Hovis would be classed as having a below average chance.

Jardin Des Plantes

Jardin Des Plantes is from the Donald McCain and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Kelso

Jardin Des Plantes looks to be a capable Gelding with some praiseworthy form especially when Mr T Gillard is ridding, one of these such races was at on the and while we would like it to be more recent I feel it is still a valuable form line.

With a good Stakes race in prospect it would be beneficial to know that the sire for Jardin Des Plantes, who is High Rock, has produced offspring who have managed to hit a 20% strike rate in these type of events.

An accomplished looking runner who looks capable of landing a race like this, it has the form and ratings suggest that its not to far from the top which all adds up to make this a worthy entrant.

Sunset Marquis

Sunset Marquis is a 6yo from the Alison Hamilton stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 18f race which taking part here at Kelso.

No Headgear is fitted for this race and while it has worn this before results have not always gone the right way, one of these races was when unplaced at Ayr when ridden by Tony Kelly on the 09/11/2016.

When in Rome do as Romans do and in this case that means only back a runner in a Hurdle if the trainer has a good record in such event which one does not and appears to be only run of the mill.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Midnite Grace

Midnite Grace is a 7yo from the Pauline Robson stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 18f race which taking part here at Kelso.

We have a Stakes race here for Midnite Grace and if we only take recent form into consideration, namely at race at Newcastle when finishing out of the first three in a similar race it can be said to only have a moderate chance.

When in Rome do as Romans do and in this case that means only back a runner in a Hurdle if the trainer has a good record in such event which one does not and appears to be only run of the mill.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Christmas In Usa

Christmas In Usa is a 5yo from the N W Alexander stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

So we have a Hurdle race which is being run at Kelso and Christmas In Usa does look one to be in the shake up, however it did not fill one of the first three places when competing in a similar event on the 11/05/2016. Other than that slight imperfection this runners form would be classed as exemplary to take a race like this.

Moving onto the recent trainer stats and these look excellent for today’s race distance of 18f and with a sterling strike rate of 100% this runner looks top-notch.

One of the main candidates in this event and appears to have what would be called a first rate chance based on the Jadwiz rating and other factors.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

She Told You So

She Told You So is a 7yo from the Mark Wall stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 20f race which taking part here at Huntingdon.

Has only what would only be classed as passable form for this race and with a below standard outing recently at Towcester which was over 21f this can be marked down as a runner with average chance on form.

Trainers quite often either do well in either handicap or non-handicap races and in the case of Mark Wall we see that in Stakes events their success rate is ordinary at 7%.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.
