TOWCESTER RACECOURSE 2-20 Race Date 13/04/17 | Horse Racing

TOWCESTER RACECOURSE FORM

Miss Benefitz

Miss Benefitz is a 6yo from the Mike Hammond stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 15f race which taking part here at Towcester.

Over the last twelve months Miss Benefitz does have bits of form on which to weigh up its chances including a run at Southwell on the 14/08/2016, this was over today’s race distance and a good place was achieved on that occasion. But not all races are the same and the overall form for this runner may be seen as unproductive and there are others with better form.

The results for Hurdle races show a below average 4% strike rate when the sires offspring have precipitated in these type of events.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Miss Benefitz would be classed as having a below average chance.

Sweeping Rock

Sweeping Rock is a 7yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Jamie Moore.

Some horses are better suited to handicap races while others are not and in the case of Sweeping Rock it looks as if today’s Handicap race will suit, after all it got 1st place when racing in a similar race at Bath and that looks to be agreeable form.

Trainer form now and we see that there has been a praiseworthy success rate of 20% over the last twelve months when John Spearing has sent out runners which have carried a weight which was not to dissimilar to today.

This runner looks to have an above average chance in this event and with its superior and dexterous form Sweeping Rock looks to be one of the main competitors for this race.

Moscow Me

Moscow Me is a 10yo from the Henry Oliver stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 15f race which taking part here at Towcester.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Towcester on the 05/11/2015 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Honey Pound

Honey Pound is a 9yo from the Tim Vaughan stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 15f race which taking part here at Towcester.

This is a Hurdle race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Stratford on the 06/10/2014 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

This runner is has an average chance and the stats which demonstrate this best are the sires offspring when racing in Handicap event and over the last twelve months there has been a 9% strike rate.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Irish Hawke

Irish Hawke is a 5yo from the Donald McCain stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Lingfield when Irish Hawke put in a meritorious display when applied with Tongue-Tie which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

Today’s weight is 11-01 and looking through the recent results for the sire we see that when its progeny have carried around this weight they have enjoyed an excellent 67% strike rate.

With some notable form to its name Irish Hawke looks to be the one to be on for this 15f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Tell The Tale

Tell The Tale is a 7yo from the Neil Mulholland stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 15f race which taking part here at Towcester.

Some runners can be out of their depth or running races well below what they are capable of which is not usually a good sign but with Tell The Tale we see some first rate form in the shape of an outing on the 18/09/2016 when placed 2nd, that looked an excellent class 4 race so a prime example of a worth selection for today’s event.

Looks to be one of the runners here in which an investment could very well pay off with an excellent rating and some notable form to its name for this Handicap event.

Lambeau Field

Lambeau Field is a 4yo from the Charlie Longsdon stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 15f race which taking part here at Towcester.

The one thing that the form book does show for Lambeau Field is that with the right headgear, which it has today, it can sometimes run well. With that said I do feel that today will not be one of them as there are far to many other runners with better form lines.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Lambeau Field would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Copt Hill

Copt Hill is a 9yo from the Tracy Waggott stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 19f race which taking part here at Wetherby.

Overall form shows that Copt Hill who is a 9yo has run in Hurdle races before and has finished well but this form looks substandard and is not the most up to date and may be best to give this one the swerve.

Now for stats and these appear to be detrimental, at least when the sires offspring have been entered into Hurdle races, over the last twelve months it has only record an inferior strike rate of 4%.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.
