BATH RACECOURSE 5-30 Race Date 14/04/17 | Horse Racing

BATH RACECOURSE FORM

Rosealee

Rosealee is a 4yo from the Jeremy Gask stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Rosealee ran at Kempton, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

The jockey has some below average form at the moment in Handicap races which is off putting and is only hitting the target 6% of the time.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Rosealee would be classed as having a below average chance.

Zipedeedodah

Zipedeedodah Gelding who for this race has David Egan on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good To Firm

Some splendid form over today’s race distance of 5f and while the race at Chelmsford on the 02/02/2017 may not be right up to the minute but it was a praiseworthy ride by Oisin Murphy on that occasion.

So we have a runner who is a 5yo and by looking at today’s jockey results over the last twelve months we see a splendid strike rate of 17% when runners of this age.

By no means the top rated here for this race but its not that far off and with the form shown so far could not really be left out of the reckoning here for this race at Bath.

Equally Fast

Equally Fast is a 5yo from the Peter Hiatt stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

With ailing form and a below average Jadwiz rating is there anything on which to recommended a bet is in order for Equally Fast. Maybe today’s weight may help after all it did run a nice race when finishing 1st on the 01/04/2016 but that performance gives the impression of being inferior to what is required.

Course rotation at Bath is left handed and checking the overall trainer stats reveals a deficient strike rate of only 6%.

The overall form for Equally Fast looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Love On The Rocks

Love On The Rocks is a 4yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Jamie Spencer.

This type of race looks as if suits Love On The Rocks who is a 4yo and has run some splendid races on which to recommend it can be added to a short list including at Bath in a Flat race, not the most current form but would described as commendable.

Accomplished stats is what we have for this sire and in particular when racing in Handicap races which shows a fine recent record of 15%.

With some efficient and praiseworthy form to its name this would most likely be included in most short lists and who would I be to argue and I’m sure Charles Hills with have this one fit and ready to be battle.

Babyfact

Babyfact is a 6yo from the Malcolm Saunders stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

We normally find that horses that have managed to finish 1st as this one did on the 19/08/2016 when wearing the same headgear would have sound claims but that race at Sandown looked to be more of a run of the mill type of event.

Twelve month stats for the trainer are adequate for this age of runner and while not outstanding with a 12% strike rate may still be good enough to get Babyfact a place.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Englishman

Englishman is a 7yo from the Milton Bradley stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

This is a Flat race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Haydock on the 17/10/2014 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

This is a 7yo and if we move over to the stats area we find that the sires offspring when running as a 7yo have a satisfactory strike rate of 10%.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Seamster

Seamster is a 10yo from the David Loughnane stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

Over the last twelve months I can see some excellent form on which to recommend this runner especially over today’s distance of 5f, one of these races in which this Gelding put in a sterling effort was at Beverley on the 21/06/2016 and finished 1st on that occasion which looked to be notable.

This looks a nice Flat race and one in which Pivotal, who is the sire has some exquisite recent stats. These stats show a first class strike rate of 29% when its offspring have run in Flat races.

Looks to be one of the runners here in which an investment could very well pay off with an excellent rating and some notable form to its name for this Handicap event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Silvanus

Silvanus is a 12yo from the Paul Midgley stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Silvanus ran at Ripon, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

Course rotation at Bath is left handed and checking the overall trainer stats reveals a deficient strike rate of only 4%.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Zac Brown

Zac Brown is a 6yo from the Charlie Wallis stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

Taking into account the overall form for Zac Brown it would be considered to have a middle of the road chance as there does not seem to be any real factors which stand out. This is a 5f race and ordinary or passable would be the words I would use and it can be seen as more of an each way chance.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Zac Brown we see it is out of the sire by the name Kodiac who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 9% when running in Handicap races.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Cultured Knight

Cultured Knight is a 4yo from the Richard Hughes stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

Taking into account the overall form for Cultured Knight it would be considered to have a middle of the road chance as there does not seem to be any real factors which stand out. This is a 5f race and ordinary or passable would be the words I would use and it can be seen as more of an each way chance.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.
