KEMPTON RACECOURSE 5-50 Race Date 24/04/17 | Horse Racing

KEMPTON RACECOURSE FORM

Weld Arab

Weld Arab is a 6yo from the Michael Blake stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Taking into account the overall form for Weld Arab it would be considered to have a middle of the road chance as there does not seem to be any real factors which stand out. This is a 12f race and ordinary or passable would be the words I would use and it can be seen as more of an each way chance.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Weld Arab we see it is out of the sire by the name Shamardal who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 8% when running in Handicap races.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Alshan Fajer

Alshan Fajer is a 7yo from the J R Jenkins stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Alshan Fajer we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 6 race at Lingfield a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

Some sires produce offspring that develop early and there for have good strikes when young, in the case of Lemon Drop Kid who is today’s sire we can see results that would be classed as ordinary when the runner is a 7yo.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Sir Pass I Am

Sir Pass I Am is a 4yo from the Andrew Balding stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Over the last twelve months I can see some excellent form on which to recommend this runner especially over today’s distance of 12f, one of these races in which this Gelding put in a sterling effort was at Windsor on the 10/10/2016 and finished 3rd on that occasion which looked to be notable.

One of the things I noticed about this runner was that the sires offspring have shown a recent benefit from running with this type of headgear, stats are currently showing a 25% strike rate.

With some notable form to its name Sir Pass I Am looks to be the one to be on for this 12f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Bridey’s Lettuce

Bridey’s Lettuce is a 5yo from the John Best stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Another runner who’s form does not seem to be good enough for this race and the only good news would be its finishing position in a race that took place at Newcastle when it carried 09-07 to finish 2nd. This is a similar sort of weight that it is set to carry today so could possible run a nice race.

If we apply a weight range to the 09-08 this runner is set to carry, example a few pounds either way, we can check the sires recent record with its offspring which shows an unproductive 6% strike rate.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Shining Romeo

Shining Romeo is a 5yo from the Denis Quinn stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

For this runner I think its best to look at its results for the last twelve month to try and make a case for backing it. Finished 1st in a race that took place on the 28/01/2017 which was a Handicap race, but with that said the form still looks below average.

This is a Handicap in which Shining Romeo with the help of Tim Clark will attempt to take first prize, however with the jockey only having an inferior 5% strike rate over the last twelve months this does not look like it will happen, not today in any case.

The overall form for Shining Romeo looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Multigifted

Multigifted is a 4yo from the Michael Madgwick stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Intermediate form over the last twelve months is how things appear to be for Multigifted who is a 4yo out of the sire by the name Multiplex, or this is how things look when taking par in Handicap races. Did put in a tolerable run at Kempton on the 02/11/2016 when ridden by Liam Keniry but the word average does spring to mind.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Munsarim

Munsarim is from the Lee Carter and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Kempton

This runner looks to have above average form and one of the reasons is its proven form when taking part in Handicap races like the one today. In finishing 1st in a race on the 08/06/2016 it proved itself to be capable of winning a race of this nature.

The sires offspring can run well but sometimes depends on the weight carried and in this case the weight carried is to be classed as positive and over the last twelve months there has been a 15% strike rate.

This looks to be a good race and one in which Munsarim appears to hold a chance due to the talented form which has been shown in the past and could very well be worth a bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Rail Dancer

Rail Dancer is a 5yo from the Richard Rowe stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

With this race being a Handicap we would be looking for good recent form in this type of race and on first glance we can see that Rail Dancer did finish 1st in such a race but that result may very well not count for much.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Monologue

Monologue is from the Simon Hodgson and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Kempton

Finding the right weight range for a horse could be the key in this race and Monologue looks to be in the zone having put in a praiseworthy display recently at Kempton when it carried 09-06 to finish a worthy 1st.

With some efficient and praiseworthy form to its name this would most likely be included in most short lists and who would I be to argue and I’m sure Simon Hodgson with have this one fit and ready to be battle.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Dalavand

Dalavand is a 4yo from the Laura Mongan stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Some runners can be out of their depth or running races well below what they are capable of which is not usually a good sign but with Dalavand we see some first rate form in the shape of an outing on the 06/07/2016 when placed 2nd, that looked an excellent class 6 race so a prime example of a worth selection for today’s event.

Looks to be one of the runners here in which an investment could very well pay off with an excellent rating and some notable form to its name for this Handicap event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Bergholt

Bergholt is a 4yo from the Tim Vaughan stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

For this runner I think its best to look at its results for the last twelve month to try and make a case for backing it. Finished 3rd in a race that took place on the 19/05/2016 which was a Handicap race, but with that said the form still looks below average.

General form for this runner is detrimental and it’s the same story when looking at the results for the offspring for the sire, this lets us know that there has only been a 5% strike rate for runners when racing as a 4yo.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Picansort

Picansort is a 10yo from the Peter Crate stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Picansort does really look to have some excellent overall form on which to recommend it should be on any short list including when finishing 1st at Brighton on the 07/08/2015, while this may not be the most recent form it was over today’s distance of 5f.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Peter Crate stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.
