PERTH RACECOURSE 2-45 Race Date 04/06/17 | Horse Racing

PERTH RACECOURSE FORM

Magic Money

Magic Money is a 9yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Harry Bannister.

Having the right headgear fitted can sometimes help and with Magic Money it certainly appears to be the case and was proved when putting in a commendable recent run by finishing 1st at Haydock when it was fitted with a No Headgear, so looks above average choice for this race.

Skilled runner who has some fine stats where the sire is concerned and especially in Chase events where over the last twelve months it has enjoyed a 19% strike rate.

Capable of putting in a superior run here and while this one is not at the very top it does have some praiseworthy form to its name which means it would at least be worthy candidate for a short list.

Easy Street

Easy Street is a 7yo from the Jonjo O’Neill stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 20f race which taking part here at Perth.

The one thing that the form book does show for Easy Street is that with the right headgear, which it has today, it can sometimes run well. With that said I do feel that today will not be one of them as there are far to many other runners with better form lines.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Always On The Run

Always On The Run is a 7yo from the Tom George stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 20f race which taking part here at Perth.

This is a Chase race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Kempton on the 19/03/2016 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

This is a Chase race and the sires record when its progeny have raced in these type of events over the last twelve months has been 13%.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Indian Temple

Indian Temple is a 8yo from the Tim Reed stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This should be one of the leading horses in this race and has some excellent to speak of over the last twelve month including when putting in meritorious display when taking part in an event at Ayr when this Gelding with the assistance of Harry Reed got itself to finish 1st, that was a Chase race and another excellent run would be expected here today.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Tim Reed stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Dr Moloney

Dr Moloney is a 10yo from the S R B Crawford stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 20f race which taking part here at Perth.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Dr Moloney ran at Perth, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Tornado In Milan

Tornado In Milan is a 11yo from the Evan Williams stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 20f race which taking part here at Perth.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Taunton on the 23/01/2016 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Tornado In Milan ratings look to be unexceptional.

On the cards here is a Chase race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 11%.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Brave Spartacus

Brave Spartacus is a 11yo from the Gillian Boanas stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Catterick when Brave Spartacus put in a meritorious display when applied with No Headgear which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Formidableopponent

Formidableopponent is a 10yo from the William Young Jnr stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 20f race which taking part here at Perth.

So lets have a look at what Formidableopponent has achieved in the last twelve months and one of the better ones was in a Chase race at Hexham when achieving a satisfactory 1st place. Sean Quinlan rode a fair and passable race for William Young Jnr on that occasion and one would expect another up to scratch type of performance.

When in Rome do as Romans do and in this case that means only back a runner in a Chase if the trainer has a good record in such event which one does not and appears to be only run of the mill.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Great Expectations

Great Expectations is a 9yo from the J R Jenkins stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Fakenham.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Some types of events a trainer can have good stats to back up a runners form but in this case of J R Jenkins Hurdle races have not really produced the goods over the last year.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.
