CHEPSTOW RACECOURSE 6-10 Race Date 04/07/17 | Horse Racing

CHEPSTOW RACECOURSE FORM

Mr Large

Mr Large is a 2yo from the Jamie Osborne stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Jamie Osborne yard.

Breath Caught

Breath Caught Colt who for this race has Pat Dobbs on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good

Has an above average rating and looks a proficient runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Recent results show that when Pat Dobbs is on board a 2yo runner the stats look to be in our favour and at the current strike rate of 15% appears to be valuable form.

This looks to be a good race and one in which Breath Caught appears to hold a chance due to the talented form which has been shown in the past and could very well be worth a bet.

Fortune’s Pearl

Fortune’s Pearl is a 2yo from the Andrew Balding stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Not all racecourses are the same, some are left handed while others are right and with Chepstow it is a left handed course. Looking at the trainers record over the last twelve months we see a tolerable but average strike rate of 12% when their runners have raced on a left handed track.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Giovanni Medici

Giovanni Medici is a 2yo from the Seamus Durack stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

There was recently a below average performance over today’s distance when racing at Sandown when Tom Queally could not get a good enough run to get Giovanni Medici into the frame and up to date form looks insufficient.

We know Giovanni Medici is set to carry 09-02 but over the last twelve months the trainers runners when carrying around this weight have only prevailed 5% of the time which is off putting.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Giovanni Medici would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Landue

Landue is a 2yo from the Marcus Tregoning stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Had a recent run at Salisbury when it carried a similar weight when unplaced in a unremarkable race and that about sums things up for this runner, touchstone.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Flat and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Champs De Reves

Champs De Reves is a 2yo from the Marcus Tregoning stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Will start be letting you know this is a Flat race and Champs De Reves does have recent form in these type of event, not great and overall form would only be average.

The trainer of this runner does not have any outstanding recent results when their runners have carried a weight near what this one is set to lump around here today and stats appear to be intermediate.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Deadly Reel

Deadly Reel is a 2yo from the Archie Watson stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

So you are looking for a runner with excellent recent form, if that’s the case then Deadly Reel fits the bill with its top-notch display at Wetherby over 7f when it got the 3rd prize of £4k for the Archie Watson stable.

Combination here today is Richard Kingscote ridding for Archie Watson and recent stats for this partnership shows a distinguished strike rate of 33%.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Coal Stock

Coal Stock is from the David Evans and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Chepstow

So we have a runner with some superior form running in a Flat race which is much the same as what happened at Windsor recently, only problem was it failed to get placed. There may be a good reason for this and if so then Coal Stock would appear to be capable of winning here.

After mixing in all the form lines for this runner the conclusion would be one who would reward an each way investment provided we can get the required odds.

Lyford

Lyford is a 2yo from the Sylvester Kirk stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Will start be letting you know this is a Flat race and Lyford does have recent form in these type of event, not great and overall form would only be average.

The recent stats for Sylvester Kirk tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Couldn’t Could She

Couldn’t Could She is a 2yo from the Adam West stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

First thing I noticed when looking at its recent form was a race at Chester when it worn the same piece of headgear, on that occasion it did show enough to suggest it can be winning here.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 8%.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Travellers Joy

Travellers Joy is a 2yo from the Richard Hughes stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Glancing at the recent jockey stats in Flat races we see today’s jockey does not have a great set of results, in fact it’s a discouraging 5%.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Leeshaan

Leeshaan is a 2yo from the James Tate stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Some horses can handle carrying large loads while other can’t so if we can find an excellent recent run where there were similar weights were involved it would be an valuable extra bonus and in this case we need to look no further than its outing at Haydock when placed 1st.

A runner out of the top draw here and one that looks to be in tiptop shape and ready to produce an exemplary display here at Chepstow.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Good Event

Good Event is a 9yo from the Peter Hiatt stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Has an excellent rating and looks a distinguished runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

This runner is a 9yo and recent results for today’s jockey show an impressive strike rate of 50% when in charge of runners of this age.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.
