CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE 6-30 Race Date 07/07/17 | Horse Racing

CHELMSFORD RACECOURSE FORM

Cainhoe Star

Cainhoe Star is a 4yo from the Anthony Carson stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Some horses can handle carrying large loads while other can’t so if we can find an excellent recent run where there were similar weights were involved it would be an valuable extra bonus and in this case we need to look no further than its outing at Yarmouth when placed 1st.

Anthony Carson running a 4yo recently has produced some outstanding stats which show a current strike rate of 25% which goes well with the runners form for this race.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Zabdi

Zabdi is a 4yo from the Lee Carter stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This runner not only has tiptop form but has also proved it can handle a unknown course which it did in a distinguished fashion when racing at Kempton on the 15/02/2017.

One of the main candidates in this event and appears to have what would be called a first rate chance based on the Jadwiz rating and other factors.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Paradise Found

Paradise Found is a 6yo from the Emma Owen stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Good form on a unknown course would be an asset here and I know that Paradise Found raced at Chelmsford a while back which is a unknown course but the form that day was not as expected and it failed to make the first three.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Overhaugh Street

Overhaugh Street is a 4yo from the Ed de Giles stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

This one is not one of the leading lights for this race and the only thing that could really be found to give any sort of encouragement to those of you who wish to back a runner at good odds would that it did finish 3rd on a unknown course in a race that took place on the 26/10/2015.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Ed de Giles yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Misu Pete

Misu Pete is a 5yo from the Mark Usher stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

As we know Chelmsford is a unknown course and having tolerable form on these types of courses does help but in the case of Misu Pete I’m not quite so sure its races at Kempton when running over 6f would be seen as a stand out result.

So racing taking place on a unknown course and over the last twelve months the sires offspring when racing on these types of tracks have recorded a 9% strike rate.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Indomitable Spirit

Indomitable Spirit is a 5yo from the Martin Smith stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Different times of the year can often bring a change of form and in the case of Indomitable Spirit it looks as if this month could be the key, after all it was on the 14/07/2015 that it finished 1st at Lingfield in what could be viewed as a splendid result.

Looking at this runners weight and checking it against the sires current strike rate shows 15% of runners are hitting the right spot.

After mixing in all the form lines for this runner the conclusion would be one who would reward an each way investment provided we can get the required odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Ambitious Icarus

Ambitious Icarus is a 8yo from the Richard Guest stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

As we know Chelmsford is a unknown course and having tolerable form on these types of courses does help but in the case of Ambitious Icarus I’m not quite so sure its races at Beverley when running over 5f would be seen as a stand out result.

Today’s jockey is J F Egan who it has to be said is capable in these types of races but on a unknown course their recent form is only average with a strike rate of 9%.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Rosie Crowe

Rosie Crowe is a 5yo from the Shaun Harris stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

What form does Rosie Crowe have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 27/10/2016 when it finished 1st. On that day it was racing over 7f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

Some horses run better when young other when older and finding a jockey who gets on with different age groups can pay dividends, however in the particular case Trevor Whelan recent success rate is only an average looking 8% for a 5yo.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Knight Of The Air

Knight Of The Air is a 5yo from the Joseph Tuite stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Below par form is what this runner looks to have and not one to have great faith, however did demonstrate a liking for a class 6 race when filling the 1st spot in a race at Chepstow on the 29/08/2016.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Diamondsaretrumps

Diamondsaretrumps is a 4yo from the Phil McEntee stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

Is set to carry a similar one as to when racing at Lingfield on the 24/02/2016 when it failed to make the first three which makes this runner look inferior to most of the others.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Broughtons Fancy

Broughtons Fancy Filly who for this race has Kieran Shoemark on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Standard

So how good is the overall form for Broughtons Fancy? Well praiseworthy would seem an appropriate word for this above average contender and this was shown in a race when finishing 1st at Salisbury in a 7f race which is the same as today’s distance, so form looks agreeable.

Twelve month stats can be useful as it shows that there has been a consistant level of form over a longer period and this is what we can see for Gary Moore when there runners have been entered into 7f races. These results have been splendid to say the least and have a success rate in the region of 15% which adds weight to the overall form.

One for your short list I feel and looks to have the form which would enable it to be in the shake up, there maybe others with higher ratings but this one still looks to have a chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Caledonian Gold

Caledonian Gold is a 4yo from the Paul D’Arcy stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

As we know Chelmsford is a unknown course and having tolerable form on these types of courses does help but in the case of Caledonian Gold I’m not quite so sure its races at Leicester when running over 6f would be seen as a stand out result.

The trainer of this runner does not have any outstanding recent results when their runners have carried a weight near what this one is set to lump around here today and stats appear to be intermediate.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Tigserin

Tigserin is a 4yo from the Giles Bravery stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

This one is not one of the leading lights for this race and the only thing that could really be found to give any sort of encouragement to those of you who wish to back a runner at good odds would that it did finish 1st on a unknown course in a race that took place on the 07/04/2016.

If we apply a weight range to the 09-09 this runner is set to carry, example a few pounds either way, we can check the sires recent record with its offspring which shows an unproductive 6% strike rate.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Flower Cup

Flower Cup is a 4yo from the Chris Dwyer stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 7f race which taking part here at Chelmsford.

This runner not only has tiptop recent form but has also proved it can handle a unknown course which it did in a distinguished fashion when racing at Yarmouth on the 14/06/2017.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Our Little Pony

Our Little Pony is a 2yo from the Lawrence Mullaney stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

So you are looking for a runner with excellent recent form, if that’s the case then Our Little Pony fits the bill with its top-notch display at Beverley over 5f when it got the 1st prize of £3k for the Richard Fahey stable.

Taking a look at the trainer and jockey combination we find there is an excellent overall strike rate of 21% which goes with the form very well.

With some notable form to its name Our Little Pony looks to be the one to be on for this 5f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.
