AYR RACECOURSE 5-30 Race Date 09/07/17 | Horse Racing

AYR RACECOURSE FORM

Roy’s Legacy

Roy’s Legacy is a 8yo from the Shaun Harris stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Another runner who’s form looks to be damaging is Roy’s Legacy and the only thing to write home about would be it came 1st in a Flat race, not recently, but was within the last twelve months.

Jockeys can sometimes have an optimum weight range where they have a high strike rate, but in the case of Mrs C Bartley today’s weight is not in their correct range and the strike rate looks insufficient.

The overall form for Roy’s Legacy looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Dodgy Bob

Dodgy Bob is a 4yo from the Michael Mullineaux stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Overall form shows that Dodgy Bob who is a 4yo has run in Flat races before and has finished well but this form looks substandard and is not the most up to date and may be best to give this one the swerve.

Again moving on to the next piece of information and this time we will look at the jockey stats for Flat races which is not as good I one would like. Their overall record shows unproductive and or detrimental form when ridding in these types of races.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Red Forever

Red Forever is a 6yo from the Thomas Cuthbert stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Ayr.

This is a Flat race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Redcar on the 20/06/2014 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

This is a 6yo and if we move over to the stats area we find that the sires offspring when running as a 6yo have a satisfactory strike rate of 14%.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Perfect Words

Perfect Words is a 7yo from the Marjorie Fife stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Ayr on the 03/07/2016 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Perfect Words ratings look to be unexceptional.

Average stats is what we have here for today’s jockey when ridding a 7yo, or at least over the last twelve months and these results would be considered acceptable or admissible.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Star Cracker

Star Cracker is a 5yo from the Jim Goldie stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This should be one of the leading horses in this race and has some excellent to speak of over the last twelve month including when putting in meritorious display when taking part in an event at Ayr when this Gelding with the assistance of Paul Mulrennan got itself to finish 1st, that was a Flat race and another excellent run would be expected here today.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Jim Goldie stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Horsforth

Horsforth is a 5yo from the Richard Guest stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 5f race which taking part here at Ayr.

While recent form is probably preferred it may not always be there but by looking back over the last twelve months we can see a good example of what Horsforth is capable when racing in a class 6 event. This good example came at Nottingham on the 02/11/2016 when it filled the 1st spot.

For some reason this jockey seems to do well at this time of the year and Miss Joanna Mason has an efficient overall strike rate of 20% which is commendable.

One for your short list I feel and looks to have the form which would enable it to be in the shake up, there maybe others with higher ratings but this one still looks to have a chance.

Frangarry

Frangarry is a 5yo from the Alan Bailey stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Ayr.

What form does Frangarry have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 03/10/2016 when it finished 1st. On that day it was racing over 5f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Our Place In Loule

Our Place In Loule is a 4yo from the Noel Wilson stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Ayr.

The one thing that the form book does show for Our Place In Loule is that with the right headgear, which it has today, it can sometimes run well. With that said I do feel that today will not be one of them as there are far to many other runners with better form lines.

Sometimes a trainers record can indicate things that are not always evident when looking or reading through the runners form and one of these is that Noel Wilson has only successfully make the winners enclosure 5% of the time with a 4yo runner over the year, which is below average.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.
