AYR RACECOURSE 5-30 Race Date 10/07/17 | Horse Racing

AYR RACECOURSE FORM

Magic Journey

Magic Journey is a 3yo from the John Quinn stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Had a recent race at Ayr and managed to get into the first three in a Flat event and looks to have fair form which looks typical for this type of contest.

This event is a Flat race and by quickly looking through the jockeys results we can get a better picture of things and in this case a strike rate of 13% is only moderate or satisfactory.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Peny Arcade

Peny Arcade is a 3yo from the Alistair Whillans stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Ayr.

The one thing that the form book does show for Peny Arcade is that with the right headgear, which it has today, it can sometimes run well. With that said I do feel that today will not be one of them as there are far to many other runners with better form lines.

If we note the runners weight we can see its set to carry 08-13 and recently when Alistair Whillans has had runners that have shouldered around this weight the strike rate has been less than impressive at 4%.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Angel’s Acclaim

Angel’s Acclaim is a 3yo from the Kevin Ryan stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 7f race which taking part here at Ayr.

The form for Angel’s Acclaim is outstanding and looks to have what it will take for a race like this, ok so its got the same piece of headgear on that it wore when unplaced at Newcastle on the 14/04/2017 but besides that the form looks top-notch.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Kevin Ryan stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Yes You

Yes You is a 3yo from the Iain Jardine stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

So why would Jadwiz give this one an excellent rating and chance of taking the first prize? Well first reason, which may not be apparent to everyone is the fact it has the same piece of headgear which was used when gaining an excellent result at Doncaster in a UK Flat race.

The conclusion for this runner is that it could safely be added to any short list and could very well be the top selection to land the first prize here.

Tael O’ Gold

Tael O’ Gold is a 3yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Connor Murtagh.

Looking through the last twelve months form for Tael O’ Gold I can see there was a very good performance put in at Newcastle when fitted with a No Headgear and with the same here again we can expect another competent ride by Connor Murtagh.

Punters like recent stats as it shows what is happing now and one of these shows that today’s trainer has a 18% strike rate when their runners have carried around today’s weight.

With splendid form this runner is rated amongst the top contenders for the honours here at Ayr today and appears to be very capable of at least making the frame in this event.

Jessie Allan

Jessie Allan is a 6yo from the Jim Goldie stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Recent good form in the right class could be the way of looking at things and in the case of Jessie Allan who is trained by Jim Goldie we can seen a nice run at Newcastle in this class of race. But with that said it must be understood that the form of that race may be substandard and not as good as it first appeared.

Runner form does not tell the whole story and it can and often does pay to look at the trainer and jockey combination which in this case is the Jim Goldie and Sean Mooney partnership, which over the last year things have not been going as well as one would of liked and looks ailing.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Charava

Charava is a 5yo from the Patrick Holmes stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Ayr.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Charava the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Ayr on the 18/07/2016 it carried 09-10 to fill the 1st spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

This is a Flat race and the sires record when its progeny have raced in these type of events over the last twelve months has been 7%.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Broctune Papa Gio

Broctune Papa Gio is a 10yo from the Gillian Boanas stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Overall form for Broctune Papa Gio is generally unproductive and inferior to others in this race and while it has some reasonable results over this distance namely when finishing 1st on the 09/09/2014 it would be seen as more of a each way or long shot.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Cyflymder

Cyflymder is a 11yo from the David C Griffiths stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Overall form shows that Cyflymder who is a 11yo has run in Flat races before and has finished well but this form looks substandard and is not the most up to date and may be best to give this one the swerve.

Course rotation at Ayr is left handed and checking the overall trainer stats reveals a deficient strike rate of only 4%.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Monsieur Jimmy

Monsieur Jimmy is a 5yo from the Declan Carroll stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Monsieur Jimmy we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 6 race at Southwell a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 7%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Secret City

Secret City Gelding who for this race has Ben Robinson on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good

This type of race looks as if suits Secret City who is a 11yo and has run some splendid races on which to recommend it can be added to a short list including at Ayr in a Flat race, not the most current form but would described as commendable.

With splendid form this runner is rated amongst the top contenders for the honours here at Ayr today and appears to be very capable of at least making the frame in this event.

State The Obvious

State The Obvious is a 5yo from the Jonjo O’Neill stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 20f race which taking part here at Worcester.

Will start be letting you know this is a Hurdle race and State The Obvious does have recent form in these type of event, not great and overall form would only be average.

Some types of events a trainer can have good stats to back up a runners form but in this case of Jonjo O’Neill Hurdle races have not really produced the goods over the last year.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.
