CATTERICK RACECOURSE 2-10 Race Date 12/07/17 | Horse Racing

CATTERICK RACECOURSE FORM

Ingleby Mackenzie

Ingleby Mackenzie is a 3yo from the Mick Channon stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 12f race which taking part here at Catterick.

So this race is taking place at Catterick which is a left handed course and that’s the one thing that Ingleby Mackenzie does have to offer, a bit of form on a left handed course. However, while its recent run at Wolverhampton when finishing 3rd looks good as it is also a left handed course it may pay to pass on this runner.

General form for this runner is detrimental and it’s the same story when looking at the results for the offspring for the sire, this lets us know that there has only been a 6% strike rate for runners when racing as a 3yo.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Piedita

Piedita is a 3yo from the Sir Mark Prescott Bt stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 12f race which taking part here at Catterick.

A tolerable yet undistinguished runner who’s form when racing with around this weight may not be perfect and an example would be when it competed at Lingfield on the 10/09/2016 and finished unplaced when carrying a weight of 09-00, which was not to dissimilar to the one it has today.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Flat and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Staff College

Staff College Gelding who for this race has Ben Curtis on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good

This is a Flat race where over the last twelve months Staff College has shown some valuable form and looked a skilled operator when finishing 3rd in a race at Ffos Las on the 11/09/2016 and although this is not what would be called very recent it is still worth considering.

A accomplished competitor for an event like this and also one who appears to have a chance, not top rated but then again not to far away and when you through in its splendid form it all adds up to a worthy participant.

Second Page

Second Page is a 3yo from the Richard Hannon stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Exemplary recent form and a common factor could be the key to this race and one of the runners which has both of these qualities would be Second Page who is a Colt out of the sire by the name of Harbour Watch. Why do I say this well it ran at Doncaster not so long back and finished 3rd and the common factor is that Rossa Ryan rode it that day and is set to put in another top-notch display.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Richard Hannon stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Jadwiz Note: With all the first rate form and stats it has to be said that this looks to be one of the main bets of the day and should not be overlooked here.

Uber Cool

Uber Cool is a 3yo from the Jane Chapple-Hyam stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 12f race which taking part here at Catterick.

Had a recent run at Wetherby when it carried a similar weight when unplaced in a unremarkable race and that about sums things up for this runner, touchstone.

The recent stats for Jane Chapple-Hyam tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Port Paradise

Port Paradise is a 4yo from the William Jarvis stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This runner would appear to be one of the top selections for this race based on a race it ran in at Leicester on the 20/07/2016 when ridden by Samuel Clarke, finished 1st in that event and with the same piece of headgear on again today looks to be an added bonus.

Today’s jockey is Shane Kelly who is current enjoying an excellent 50% strike rate when ridding runners out of the sire Paco Boy as this one is.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the William Jarvis stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.
