FFOS LAS RACECOURSE 2-15 Race Date 17/07/17 | Horse Racing

FFOS LAS RACECOURSE FORM

Sauchiehall Street

Sauchiehall Street is a 2yo from the Sylvester Kirk stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

First thing I noticed when looking at its recent form was a race at Wolverhampton when it worn the same piece of headgear, on that occasion it did show enough to suggest it can be winning here.

This is a 2yo and if we move over to the stats area we find that the sires offspring when running as a 2yo have a satisfactory strike rate of 8%.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Liva

Liva is a 2yo from the David Evans stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Another runner and with this one we see it does have recent form and although not as good as others may have place claims based on its 3rd at Chepstow in a Flat.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the David Evans yard.

American Ruby

American Ruby is a 2yo from the Mark Johnston stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Has below average form for today’s chosen jockey when Liam Keniry has ridden in races over 7f and the recent results show an unproductive 6% strike rate.

The overall form for American Ruby looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Show Of Force

Show Of Force is a 2yo from the Jonathan Portman stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 7f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

This is a class 5 and if we forgive Show Of Force its run recent at Kempton, which incidentally was also the same class, we would have an exquisite and first rate choice.

This runner out of the Jonathan Portman stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

We Are The World

We Are The World is a 2yo who looks to have some fine form for this Stakes race and today is ridden by Oisin Murphy.

Superior form in today’s class of race is what We Are The World appears to have, ridden by Ben Curtis recently to finish 3rd at Redcar which makes this one of the better choices for this race.

This is a Flat and one thing I noticed was the recent stats for today’s jockey which shows a 15% strike rate in these type of event which looks agreeable form for this runner.

By no means the top rated here for this race but its not that far off and with the form shown so far could not really be left out of the reckoning here for this race at Ffos Las.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Coal Stock

Coal Stock is a 2yo from the David Evans stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Had a recent run at Windsor when it carried a similar weight when unplaced in a unremarkable race and that about sums things up for this runner, touchstone.

So for this runner lets have a look at the recent trainer record when their horses have been selected to run over 7f and with only an average set of results there will be others more suited.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Jaffar

Jaffar is a 2yo from the Scott Dixon stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Today’s weight for this runner is very similar to the one recently carried at Beverley when unplaced and that form appears to be how good this runner is and not ideal selection for this race.

Runner form finished and so poor stats to report on the trainers success over the last twelve month, or rather the lack of it as there is only a 6% strike rate when their runners have competed on a left handed course.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Scott Dixon yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Lomu

Lomu is a 3yo from the Keith Dalgleish stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Lomu did have a good result when carrying 09-02 and finishing 1st on the 29/04/2016 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

Some horses run better when young other when older and finding a jockey who gets on with different age groups can pay dividends, however in the particular case Paul Mulrennan recent success rate is only an average looking 8% for a 3yo.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.
