BEVERLEY RACECOURSE 2-45 Race Date 18/07/17 | Horse Racing

BEVERLEY RACECOURSE FORM

Curzon

Curzon is a 2yo from the David O’Meara stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Today’s weight for this runner is very similar to the one recently carried at Hamilton when unplaced and that form appears to be how good this runner is and not ideal selection for this race.

General form for this runner is detrimental and it’s the same story when looking at the results for the offspring for the sire, this lets us know that there has only been a 5% strike rate for runners when racing as a 2yo.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Jaimie’s Joy

Jaimie’s Joy is a 2yo from the Tony Coyle stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Beverley.

First thing I noticed when looking at its recent form was a race at Thirsk when it worn the same piece of headgear, on that occasion it did show enough to suggest it can be winning here.

We know that Jaimie’s Joy is a 2yo but how well is the trainer currently doing with this age of runner? Average would be the word as the recent strike rate is only in the region of 14%.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Aislin Moon

Aislin Moon is a 2yo from the Les Eyre stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 5f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Has an excellent rating and looks a distinguished runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Cavendish Place

Cavendish Place is a 2yo from the David Brown stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 5f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Has an above average rating and looks a proficient runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

A accomplished competitor for an event like this and also one who appears to have a chance, not top rated but then again not to far away and when you through in its splendid form it all adds up to a worthy participant.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Leaderofthepack

Leaderofthepack is a 2yo from the Bryan Smart stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Regular or acceptable form is the order of the day for Leaderofthepack but did not get into the first three recently at Beverley in a class 5 to make one of the runners in with a chance.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 7%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Roundhay Park

Roundhay Park is a 2yo from the Nigel Tinkler stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Lets have a look at what Roundhay Park has to offer, to start with we see a below average Jadwiz rating which is not a very good start but did have a nice recent outing at Beverley when filling the 2nd spot when racing over today’s distance but I think overall form would still be classed as discouraging.

Sometimes a trainers record can indicate things that are not always evident when looking or reading through the runners form and one of these is that Nigel Tinkler has only successfully make the winners enclosure 4% of the time with a 2yo runner over the year, which is below average.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Wensley

Wensley is a 2yo from the James Bethell stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Beverley.

First thing I noticed when looking at its recent form was a race at Hamilton when it worn the same piece of headgear, on that occasion it did show enough to suggest it can be winning here.

The recent stats for James Bethell tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Mendali

Mendali is a 2yo from the David C Griffiths stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Put in a bush-league type of performance when recently racing at Redcar with the same piece of headgear which Mendali is set to wear again for this event which does not look to good.

Set to be ridden by David Allan for the David C Griffiths and is a 2yo which may be a problem because the jockeys 6% strike rate over the last twelve months when ridding a 2yo.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Dreamboat Annie

Dreamboat Annie is a 2yo from the Mark Usher stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 5f race which taking part here at Bath.

The overall form for Dreamboat Annie shows that there was a race on the 23/06/2017 at Bath when finishing 1st that the same piece of headgear was fitted, although I feel that the result on that day was more of what you would call a typical or regular type of an event.

The recent stats for Mark Usher tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.
