BEVERLEY RACECOURSE 5-55 Race Date 24/07/17 | Horse Racing

BEVERLEY RACECOURSE FORM

Nothing Compares

Nothing Compares is a 3yo from the Mark Johnston stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Beverley.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Nothing Compares the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Beverley on the 16/05/2017 it carried 08-11 to fill the 3rd spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 9%.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Sambuca Nera

Sambuca Nera is a 3yo from the James Given stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Some runners have a weight range where they can either run well or badly and in the case of Sambuca Nera today’s weight falls onto the not so good range based on its run at Thirsk when it carried 08-06.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Chionodoxa

Chionodoxa is a 3yo from the Tim Easterby stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Put in a bush-league type of performance when recently racing at Beverley with the same piece of headgear which Chionodoxa is set to wear again for this event which does not look to good.

Rachel Richardson who is today’s jockey has some insufficient recent stats which show when ridding runners carrying a weight in the region of today’s their strike rate has only been a substandard 4%.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Black Prince

Black Prince is a 3yo from the Anthony Honeyball stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This runner would appear to be one of the top selections for this race based on a race it ran in at Kempton on the 12/04/2017 when ridden by J F Egan, finished 3rd in that event and with the same piece of headgear on again today looks to be an added bonus.

The conclusion for this runner is that it could safely be added to any short list and could very well be the top selection to land the first prize here.

Legalized

Legalized is a 3yo from the James Given stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Twelve month form does look to be ailing with some below par efforts put in and one of these off putting displays was at Nottingham in a Flat race the same as encountered here which does not go to well with a below average rating.

The results for Flat races show a below average 6% strike rate when the sires offspring have precipitated in these type of events.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Piedita

Piedita is a 3yo from the Sir Mark Prescott Bt stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Beverley.

The overall form for Piedita shows that there was a race on the 12/07/2017 at Catterick when finishing 3rd that the same piece of headgear was fitted, although I feel that the result on that day was more of what you would call a typical or regular type of an event.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Flat and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Astroshadow

Astroshadow is a 3yo from the Mark H Tompkins stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Some detrimental form has been shown over the last twelve months when a No Headgear has been fitted and one of those was when unplaced at Chelmsford when ridden by Gabriele Malune and therefore its form is considered to be bush-league.

The record of this runners sire is discouraging with only a 5% strike rate at this time of the year and with some below par results like these it would be an idea to concentrate on others in the race.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

General Allenby

General Allenby is a 3yo from the Henry Tett stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Will start be letting you know this is a Flat race and General Allenby does have recent form in these type of event, not great and overall form would only be average.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Flat and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Laureate

Laureate is a 3yo from the Mark Johnston stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Beverley.

We normally find that horses that have managed to finish 2nd as this one did on the 09/08/2016 when wearing the same headgear would have sound claims but that race at Nottingham looked to be more of a run of the mill type of event.

The trainer of this runner does not have any outstanding recent results when their runners have carried a weight near what this one is set to lump around here today and stats appear to be intermediate.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Thomas Crown

Thomas Crown is a 3yo from the Roger Fell stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 16f race which taking part here at Beverley.

There is some good and bad news for this runner, the bad news is it wore that same piece of headgear recently at Beverley when out of the first three, the good news that on all known form Thomas Crown looks set to put in a distinguished display here today at Beverley.

One of the main candidates in this event and appears to have what would be called a first rate chance based on the Jadwiz rating and other factors.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Bizet

Bizet is a 3yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Jack Osborn.

Looking through the last twelve months form for Bizet I can see there was a very good performance put in at Chelmsford when fitted with a No Headgear and with the same here again we can expect another competent ride by Jack Osborn.

Recent results show that when Jack Osborn is on board a 3yo runner the stats look to be in our favour and at the current strike rate of 20% appears to be valuable form.

With some efficient and praiseworthy form to its name this would most likely be included in most short lists and who would I be to argue and I’m sure John Ryan with have this one fit and ready to be battle.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Arachina

Arachina is a 2yo from the Harry Dunlop stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Windsor.

May have what it takes for this class 4 event but may need a bit of luck considering it was unplaced recently in the same type of race.

General form for this runner is detrimental and it’s the same story when looking at the results for the offspring for the sire, this lets us know that there has only been a 5% strike rate for runners when racing as a 2yo.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Arachina would be classed as having a below average chance.
