GOODWOOD RACECOURSE 2-25 Race Date 04/08/17 | Horse Racing

GOODWOOD RACECOURSE FORM

Beat The Bank

Beat The Bank Gelding who for this race has Ryan Moore on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Soft

One of the things that came to light when looking through the form for this runner was today’s weight of 09-01 which is very similar to the weight carried on the 18/04/2017 when finishing 1st and would look to have an above average chance for this event.

Looking at the trainers recent form over today’s race distance of 8f we see a superior success rate of 19% so appears to be a worthy contender.

A accomplished competitor for an event like this and also one who appears to have a chance, not top rated but then again not to far away and when you through in its splendid form it all adds up to a worthy participant.

Bless Him

Bless Him is a 3yo from the David Simcock stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 8f race which taking part here at Goodwood.

Over the last twelve months I can see some excellent form on which to recommend this runner especially over today’s distance of 8f, one of these races in which this Colt put in a sterling effort was at Chelmsford on the 01/04/2017 and finished 1st on that occasion which looked to be notable.

Moving onto the recent trainer stats and these look excellent for today’s race distance of 8f and with a sterling strike rate of 30% this runner looks top-notch.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the David Simcock stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

La Rav

La Rav is a 3yo from the Luca Cumani stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Form for the runner is recent and also has the advantage that its run at Salisbury was the same type of race which give us an exquisite start to our fact finding mission and see no reason why Jamie Spencer could keep this one out of a place.

Today’s jockey is Jamie Spencer who is current enjoying an excellent 67% strike rate when ridding runners out of the sire Footstepsinthesand as this one is.

This runner out of the Luca Cumani stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Solomon’s Bay

Solomon’s Bay is a 3yo from the Roger Varian stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Goodwood.

Another runner who’s form does not seem to be good enough for this race and the only good news would be its finishing position in a race that took place at Yarmouth when it carried 09-05 to finish 1st. This is a similar sort of weight that it is set to carry today so could possible run a nice race.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Zainhom

Zainhom is a 3yo from the Sir Michael Stoute stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Goodwood.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Zainhom the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at York on the 04/09/2016 it carried 09-05 to fill the 1st spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 9%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Ronald R

Ronald R is a 3yo from the Michael Bell stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Goodwood.

We normally find that horses that have managed to finish 1st as this one did on the 06/05/2017 when wearing the same headgear would have sound claims but that race at Newmarket looked to be more of a run of the mill type of event.

The recent results of the offspring from the sire shows that when its offspring have raced with approximately this weight there is a 14% strike rate which is a regular set of stats.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Escobar

Escobar is a 3yo from the Hugo Palmer stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Goodwood.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Newbury on the 15/07/2016 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Escobar ratings look to be unexceptional.

The recent stats for Hugo Palmer tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Trais Fluors

Trais Fluors is a 3yo from the A Fabre stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Goodwood.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Forest Ranger

Forest Ranger is a 3yo from the Richard Fahey stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Goodwood.

We normally find that horses that have managed to finish 1st as this one did on the 21/09/2016 when wearing the same headgear would have sound claims but that race at Redcar looked to be more of a run of the mill type of event.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 9%.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Make Time

Make Time is a 3yo from the David Menuisier stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 8f race which taking part here at Goodwood.

This is a Flat race where over the last twelve months Make Time has shown some valuable form and looked a skilled operator when finishing 1st in a race at Salisbury on the 28/09/2016 and although this is not what would be called very recent it is still worth considering.

Sire stats now and recent ones show a fine 18% strike rate when running in Flat event which us some above average form and stats.

A accomplished competitor for an event like this and also one who appears to have a chance, not top rated but then again not to far away and when you through in its splendid form it all adds up to a worthy participant.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Strongly Suggested

Strongly Suggested is a 10yo from the Jonjo O’Neill stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 24f race which taking part here at Bangor-On-Dee.

So lets have a look at what Strongly Suggested has achieved in the last twelve months and one of the better ones was in a Chase race at Wetherby when achieving a satisfactory 1st place. Aidan Coleman rode a fair and passable race for Jonjo O’Neill on that occasion and one would expect another up to scratch type of performance.

Quickly onto the race distance and one thing we find is some adequate results over the last twelve month for Aidan Coleman, which while not great would give it a passable chance.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.
