CHEPSTOW RACECOURSE FORM

Mallymkun

Mallymkun is a 5yo from the David Loughnane stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This particular runner does have some excellent overall form which while not the most recent does still give it an excellent chance, one of these nuggets of form we see is that today’s weight is not to different to the one carried when finishing 1st at Wolverhampton on the 23/10/2015 and this could very well be a factor here.

This runner is a 5yo and recent results for today’s jockey show an impressive strike rate of 25% when in charge of runners of this age.

Looks a first class choice to take the winners prize back to David Loughnane having proved itself highly capable of taking in a race like this and would expect an admirable display.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Tulip Dress

Tulip Dress is a 4yo from the Anthony Carson stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Leicester on the 16/08/2016 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Tulip Dress ratings look to be unexceptional.

Twelve month stats for the trainer are adequate for this age of runner and while not outstanding with a 12% strike rate may still be good enough to get Tulip Dress a place.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Jacksonfire

Jacksonfire is a 5yo from the Michael Mullineaux stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Overall form shows that Jacksonfire who is a 5yo has run in Flat races before and has finished well but this form looks substandard and is not the most up to date and may be best to give this one the swerve.

Runner form finished and so poor stats to report on the trainers success over the last twelve month, or rather the lack of it as there is only a 5% strike rate when their runners have competed on a left handed course.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Baltic Prince

Baltic Prince is a 7yo from the Tony Carroll stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

So what chance does Baltic Prince on its overall form? Well ailing would be how its form could be described with only one small glimmer of light being its race at Wolverhampton which while not recent it did manage to finish 1st in that class 6 event.

George Downing who is today’s jockey has some insufficient recent stats which show when ridding runners carrying a weight in the region of today’s their strike rate has only been a substandard 4%.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Tony Carroll yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Big Chill

Big Chill is a 5yo from the Patrick Chamings stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Big Chill the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Chepstow on the 13/09/2016 it carried 09-04 to fill the 1st spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

A 5yo runner here and with Trevor Whelan due to get the leg up its run would be expected to be moderate and this is based on the modest overall strike rate of 10% when ridding 5yo.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Corporal Maddox

Corporal Maddox is a 10yo from the Ronald Harris stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Corporal Maddox we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 6 race at Lingfield a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

The recent stats for Ronald Harris tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Gala Celebration

Gala Celebration is a 3yo from the John Gallagher stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

This is a class 6 race and it helps to know that a runner has form when running in these type of events and with Gala Celebration it does have some suitable outings over the last twelve months on which to make a decision. One of these races in which it put in a typical but has to be said undistinguished run was at Lingfield when finishing 1st but as I said that form would be classed as ordinary.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Flat and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Tallulah’s Quest

Tallulah’s Quest is a 3yo from the Julia Feilden stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Class counts the saying goes but in the case of its recent outing at Ffos Las when racing in the same class of race as today’s the result only looked to be bog standard and on form it looks a place maybe the best result.

This is a 3yo and if we move over to the stats area we find that the sires offspring when running as a 3yo have a satisfactory strike rate of 9%.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Gifted Heir

Gifted Heir is a 13yo from the Ray Peacock stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Is set to carry a similar one as to when racing at Chepstow on the 14/08/2014 when it failed to make the first three which makes this runner look inferior to most of the others.

Jockeys does well in some type of events and not so good in others, this is a Flat race therefore falls into the not so good category. Over the last twelve months Kieran O’Neill has what is seen as a unproductive strike rate of only 5% which is below average.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Hedging

Hedging is a 3yo from the Eve Johnson Houghton stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Chepstow when Hedging put in a meritorious display when applied with Cheekpieces which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

left handed course and these types of tracks have recently suited Charles Bishop very well and stats show an excellent strike rate of 25%.

This runner out of the Eve Johnson Houghton stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Bois D’Ebene

Bois D’Ebene is a 3yo from the John O’Shea stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Put in a bush-league type of performance when recently racing at Bath with the same piece of headgear which Bois D’Ebene is set to wear again for this event which does not look to good.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Fox Mint

Fox Mint is a 3yo from the Karen George stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

The form for Fox Mint is outstanding and looks to have what it will take for a race like this, ok so its got the same piece of headgear on that it wore when unplaced at Brighton on the 04/10/2016 but besides that the form looks top-notch.

Stats for left or right handed course can reveal a runners preference and by looking at the results of this runners sire stats we can see that there has been a 38% strike rate when its progeny have raced on a left handed course.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Camiyra

Camiyra is a 3yo from the J P Murtagh stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 7f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Has an above average rating and looks a proficient runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

So is a 3yo out of the sire by the name Henrythenavigator and this piece of information looks valuable because over the last twelve months the offspring have enjoyed a 20% strike rate.

This looks to be a good race and one in which Camiyra appears to hold a chance due to the talented form which has been shown in the past and could very well be worth a bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Princess Way

Princess Way is from the David Evans and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Chepstow

Looking through the last twelve months form for Princess Way I can see there was a very good performance put in at Salisbury when fitted with a No Headgear and with the same here again we can expect another competent ride by Steve Drowne.

Chepstow is a left handed course so we need some good sire stats on these type of courses and we find that with Zebedee we have just that a 15% strike rate.

By no means the top rated here for this race but its not that far off and with the form shown so far could not really be left out of the reckoning here for this race at Chepstow.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Free One

Free One is a 5yo from the Jo Davis stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 17f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

So moving on a bit and a quick mention about this Hurdle race and jockey Lizzie Kelly who in these types of races over the last twelve months has not performed with finesse, only an average looking strike rate of 9% has been recorded.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

BATH RACECOURSE 5-40 Race Date 23/08/17 | Horse Racing

BATH RACECOURSE FORM

My Fantasea

My Fantasea is a 4yo from the David Evans stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Bath.

Race class can be looked at when studying form to see how well or badly a runner has performed over the last year and in the case of My Fantasea these harmful displays include finishing unplaced at Southwell in a class 5 event.

With below average form and a jockey who’s overall record over today’s distance of 8f looking dime-a-dozen with a 6% strike rate this runner looks inferior.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Mister Musicmaster

Mister Musicmaster is a 8yo from the Ron Hodges stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Bath.

This is a Flat race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Chepstow on the 11/07/2014 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Flat and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Unit Of Assessment

Unit Of Assessment is a 3yo from the William Knight stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Some horses can handle carrying large loads while other can’t so if we can find an excellent run where there were similar weights were involved it would be an valuable extra bonus and in this case we need to look no further than its outing at Leicester when placed 2nd.

Stats for left or right handed course can reveal a runners preference and by looking at the results of this runners sire stats we can see that there has been a 26% strike rate when its progeny have raced on a left handed course.

A runner out of the top draw here and one that looks to be in tiptop shape and ready to produce an exemplary display here at Bath.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Rinaria

Rinaria is a 3yo from the K R Burke stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Bath.

What form does Rinaria have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 27/04/2017 when it finished 1st. On that day it was racing over 8f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

With today’s jockey being Joey Haynes and the race taking place on a left handed course things are not great considering the last twelve months strike rate of only 9% when racing on these type of tracks.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Diable D’Or

Diable D’Or is a 3yo from the Eve Johnson Houghton stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Bath.

Diable D’Or did have a good result when carrying 09-05 and finishing 1st on the 18/08/2016 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 12%.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Masterofdiscovery

Masterofdiscovery Colt who for this race has John Fahy on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good To Soft

One of the things that came to light when looking through the form for this runner was today’s weight of 09-06 which is very similar to the weight carried on the 10/09/2016 when finishing 1st and would look to have an above average chance for this event.

There are lots of ways in which we look to enhance a runners form and sometimes easier than others and in the case of Masterofdiscovery its trained by Clive Cox who recently have been enjoying a very good strike rate of 17% when their runners have competed in Flat race events.

With some efficient and praiseworthy form to its name this would most likely be included in most short lists and who would I be to argue and I’m sure Clive Cox with have this one fit and ready to be battle.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

British Embassy

British Embassy is a 5yo from the Bill Turner stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 8f race which taking part here at Bath.

This should be one of the leading horses in this race and has some excellent to speak of over the last twelve month including when putting in meritorious display when taking part in an event at Bath when this Gelding with the assistance of Hector Crouch got itself to finish 1st, that was a Flat race and another excellent run would be expected here today.

The conclusion for this runner is that it could safely be added to any short list and could very well be the top selection to land the first prize here.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Nutini

Nutini is a 4yo from the Malcolm Saunders stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Bath.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

The overall form for Nutini looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Mr Shantu

Mr Shantu is a 8yo from the Jonjo O’Neill stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 20f race which taking part here at Worcester.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Market Rasen on the 09/05/2014 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Mr Shantu ratings look to be unexceptional.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

KEMPTON RACECOURSE 2-15 Race Date 22/08/17 | Horse Racing

August 21, 2017 Leave a comment

KEMPTON RACECOURSE FORM

Rue Cambon

Rue Cambon is a 2yo from the George Peckham stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Today’s weight for this runner is very similar to the one recently carried at Beverley when unplaced and that form appears to be how good this runner is and not ideal selection for this race.

We can look at today’s jockeys record when ridding runners that are out of the sire by the name Exceed And Excel and we find that Andrew Mullen has a substandard overall strike rate of around 4%.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Jan’s Joy

Jan’s Joy is a 2yo from the Stuart Williams stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Some detrimental form has been shown over the last twelve months when a Tongue-Tie has been fitted and one of those was when unplaced at Yarmouth when ridden by Aaron Jones and therefore its form is considered to be bush-league.

Aaron Jones who is today’s jockey has some insufficient recent stats which show when ridding runners carrying a weight in the region of today’s their strike rate has only been a substandard 4%.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Silver Bullet

Silver Bullet is a 2yo from the Tom Dascombe stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

A tolerable yet undistinguished runner who’s form when racing with around this weight may not be perfect and an example would be when it competed at Nottingham on the 02/05/2017 and finished unplaced when carrying a weight of 09-00, which was not to dissimilar to the one it has today.

Trainer and jockey combinations are often used by punters in an attempt to get an advantage and in the case of Tom Dascombe and Richard Kingscote the recent stats show no real benefit with just a ordinary looking strike rate in the region of 11%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Grand Acclaim

Grand Acclaim is a 2yo from the Harry Dunlop stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Put in a bush-league type of performance when recently racing at Bath with the same piece of headgear which Grand Acclaim is set to wear again for this event which does not look to good.

Recent stats from this runners sire would be classed as harmful when its progeny race over 6f as is the case here today, with a below average strike rate of 5% this one looks unproductive.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Red For Danger

Red For Danger is a 2yo from the Eve Johnson Houghton stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has an excellent rating and looks a distinguished runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

This runner is a 2yo and recent results for today’s jockey show an impressive strike rate of 33% when in charge of runners of this age.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Gold Eagle

Gold Eagle is a 2yo from the Philip McBride stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has an above average Jadwiz rating for this race but there was a recent race which took place over today’s distance at Leicester when it failed to make the first three, this could be seen as a negative and could be a reason to look for a runner with better recent form.

David Probert when recently ridding for Philip McBride has seen some good results which can be classed as commendable to make this runner a good choice for any short list.

This runner looks to have an above average chance in this event and with its superior and dexterous form Gold Eagle looks to be one of the main competitors for this race.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Dark Hedges

Dark Hedges is a 2yo from the Olly Williams stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

The one thing that the form book does show for Dark Hedges is that with the right headgear, which it has today, it can sometimes run well. With that said I do feel that today will not be one of them as there are far to many other runners with better form lines.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Dark Hedges would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Vegas Boy

Vegas Boy is a 2yo from the Jamie Osborne stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

A tolerable yet undistinguished runner who’s form when racing with around this weight may not be perfect and an example would be when it competed at Brighton on the 03/05/2017 and finished unplaced when carrying a weight of 09-02, which was not to dissimilar to the one it has today.

Stats can play there part in form studying and I have looked to find some suitable results in which to sum up this ones chances. The best one appears to be when Dougie Costello is ridding a runner carrying around this sort of weight the recent strike rate is only average or run of the mill.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

W G Grace

W G Grace is a 2yo from the Mark Johnston stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The form for W G Grace is outstanding and looks to have what it will take for a race like this, ok so its got the same piece of headgear on that it wore when unplaced at Catterick on the 02/06/2017 but besides that the form looks top-notch.

An interesting stats for this runners sire is the fact that recent results show that when the runner has been trained by Mark Johnston there is a 22% exceptional strike rate.

Looks a first class choice to take the winners prize back to Mark Johnston having proved itself highly capable of taking in a race like this and would expect an admirable display.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Raven’s Raft

Raven’s Raft is a 2yo from the Michael Appleby stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Raven’s Raft the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Nottingham on the 19/06/2017 it carried 08-11 to fill the 3rd spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

So for this runner lets have a look at the recent trainer record when their horses have been selected to run over 6f and with only an average set of results there will be others more suited.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Jean Paget

Jean Paget is a 2yo from the Mick Channon stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Kempton.

First thing I noticed when looking at its recent form was a race at Lingfield when it worn the same piece of headgear, on that occasion it did show enough to suggest it can be winning here.

With the weight set to carry today the sire stats show that over the last twelve months there has been a 10% strike when the sires progeny have raced.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

King Of The Sand

King Of The Sand is a 2yo from the Gary Moore stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Brighton.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

We know that King Of The Sand is a 2yo but how well is the trainer currently doing with this age of runner? Average would be the word as the recent strike rate is only in the region of 14%.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

LINGFIELD RACECOURSE 2-00 Race Date 21/08/17 | Horse Racing

August 20, 2017 Leave a comment

LINGFIELD RACECOURSE FORM

Rock N Roll Global

Rock N Roll Global is a 3yo from the Richard Hughes stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

The recent stats for Richard Hughes tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Mistress Viz

Mistress Viz is a 3yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Luke Morris.

Different times of the year can often bring a change of form and in the case of Mistress Viz it looks as if this month could be the key, after all it was on the 08/08/2016 that it finished 3rd at Ayr in what could be viewed as a splendid result.

Commendable stats for this sires offspring when they run providing they wear a No Headgear as this one does here today, results show that recently there has been a 20% strike rate.

After mixing in all the form lines for this runner the conclusion would be one who would reward an each way investment provided we can get the required odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

California Cliffs

California Cliffs is a 3yo from the Rae Guest stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

So lets have a look at what California Cliffs has achieved in the last twelve months and one of the better ones was in a Flat race at Brighton when achieving a satisfactory 2nd place. David Probert rode a fair and passable race for Rae Guest on that occasion and one would expect another up to scratch type of performance.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 12%.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Venetian Proposal

Venetian Proposal is a 3yo from the Zoe Davison stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Had a recent race at Lingfield and managed to get into the first three in a Flat event and looks to have fair form which looks typical for this type of contest.

Looking at the race type and here we see it’s a Flat and with only average or suitable recent stats for today’s jockey in this type of event it appears to have moderate claims here.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Desidero

Desidero is a 3yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Sophie Ralston.

So a Flat race on offer here for Desidero to show use what is capable of doing. Ran in one of these on the 10/10/2016 when failing to get placed which may have been on off day, other than that would be a nice choice.

Capable of putting in a superior run here and while this one is not at the very top it does have some praiseworthy form to its name which means it would at least be worthy candidate for a short list.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Book Of Dust

Book Of Dust is a 3yo from the Giles Bravery stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

A recent good run in a Flat race could help make our minds up about a runner but the problem we have here is while it did have a run on the 27/06/2017 in a Flat event it failed to make the frame.

A runners form can tell you about its ability but we also need to know how well the trainers string have been performing in the type of race that they are due to run in and with Giles Bravery stables strike rate of only 6% over the last year for Flat events things are looking unproductive.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Beatisa

Beatisa is a 3yo from the Ed Walker stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

A tolerable yet undistinguished runner who’s form when racing with around this weight may not be perfect and an example would be when it competed at Lingfield on the 18/02/2017 and finished unplaced when carrying a weight of 09-00, which was not to dissimilar to the one it has today.

A satisfactory set of stats is what we have for today’s jockey when ridding runners fitted with this piece of headgear and over the last twelve month the strike rate has been 9% which looks run of the mill.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Rocksette

Rocksette is a 3yo from the Philip Hide stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Had a recent race at Lingfield and managed to get into the first three in a Flat event and looks to have fair form which looks typical for this type of contest.

The trainer of this runner does not have any outstanding recent results when their runners have carried a weight near what this one is set to lump around here today and stats appear to be intermediate.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Permanent

Permanent is a 3yo from the Daniel Kubler stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Below average form and a low Jadwiz rating does not seem to be a good start but if you are looking for a reason to back this I can tell you that in a race at Lingfield on the 01/06/2017 George Downing, the same jockey as today, did get this runner to finish 2nd. This is not recent form but it is within the last twelve months so may be worth considering if there decent odds on display.

Recent stats from this runners sire would be classed as harmful when its progeny race over 10f as is the case here today, with a below average strike rate of 6% this one looks unproductive.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Take A Turn

Take A Turn is a 3yo from the David Lanigan stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

So you are looking for a runner with excellent recent form, if that’s the case then Take A Turn fits the bill with its top-notch display at Ayr over 10f when it got the 1st prize of £3k for the David Lanigan stable.

On this occasion Take A Turn has headgear fitted and if we look at the jockeys record over the last year we see that if this same piece of apparatuses has been used they have recorded a notable 24% strike rate.

Looks to be one of the main contenders here in this race with admirable form lines to back up its rating would look to have a top-notch chance of taking this event and would be a worthy selection.

Casado

Casado is a 3yo from the John Best stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Recent form with the right weight is what this one can boast but digging a little deeper we can see that its recent race at Lingfield may not of been as good as first thought and overall form does not seem to be good enough.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Casado would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Solent Meads

Solent Meads is a 3yo from the Daniel Kubler stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 10f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Some horses can handle carrying large loads while other can’t so if we can find an excellent run where there were similar weights were involved it would be an valuable extra bonus and in this case we need to look no further than its outing at Newcastle when placed 3rd.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Al Mustashar

Al Mustashar is a 2yo from the Saeed bin Suroor stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Thirsk.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Set to be ridden by Martin Lane for the Saeed bin Suroor and is a 2yo which may be a problem because the jockeys 5% strike rate over the last twelve months when ridding a 2yo.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Saeed bin Suroor yard.

PONTEFRACT RACECOURSE 6-10 Race Date 20/08/17 | Horse Racing

PONTEFRACT RACECOURSE FORM

Be Bold

Be Bold is a 5yo from the Rebecca Bastiman stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 6f race which taking part here at Pontefract.

Weight can play its part much the same as other factors and having a horse with the right weight makes the form worthy, this is what we have with this runner a splendid performance on the Flat when it carried 09-00 to finish 1st. Some may say that the form is not as new as others in the race but it does show it is adept at carrying this sort of weight.

So we have a runner who is a 5yo and by looking at today’s jockey results over the last twelve months we see a splendid strike rate of 15% when runners of this age.

Capable of putting in a superior run here and while this one is not at the very top it does have some praiseworthy form to its name which means it would at least be worthy candidate for a short list.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Market Choice

Market Choice is a 4yo from the Tracy Waggott stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Pontefract.

We normally find that horses that have managed to finish 1st as this one did on the 03/09/2016 when wearing the same headgear would have sound claims but that race at Thirsk looked to be more of a run of the mill type of event.

The recent stats for Tracy Waggott tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Penny Pot Lane

Penny Pot Lane is a 4yo from the Richard Whitaker stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Pontefract.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Ripon on the 17/06/2015 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Penny Pot Lane ratings look to be unexceptional.

The recent stats for Richard Whitaker tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Swanton Blue

Swanton Blue is a 4yo from the Ed de Giles stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Some horses can handle carrying large loads while other can’t so if we can find an excellent run where there were similar weights were involved it would be an valuable extra bonus and in this case we need to look no further than its outing at Salisbury when placed 1st.

This runner out of the Ed de Giles stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Mr Orange

Mr Orange is a 4yo from the Paul Midgley stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 6f race which taking part here at Pontefract.

So we have a nice recent run over this distance which took place at Carlisle on GOOD TO SOFT (So when finishing 1st, looked an unremarkable type of race but could classed as acceptable.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Lexington Sky

Lexington Sky is a 3yo from the Roger Fell stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Pontefract.

Lets have a look at what Lexington Sky has to offer, to start with we see a below average Jadwiz rating which is not a very good start but did have a nice recent outing at Nottingham when filling the 1st spot when racing over today’s distance but I think overall form would still be classed as discouraging.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Equiano Springs

Equiano Springs is a 3yo from the Tom Tate stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Pontefract.

Lets have a look at what Equiano Springs has to offer, to start with we see a below average Jadwiz rating which is not a very good start but did have a nice recent outing at Ripon when filling the 2nd spot when racing over today’s distance but I think overall form would still be classed as discouraging.

If we note the runners weight we can see its set to carry 09-04 and recently when Tom Tate has had runners that have shouldered around this weight the strike rate has been less than impressive at 5%.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Mishaal

Mishaal is a 7yo from the Michael Herrington stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Carlisle when Mishaal put in a meritorious display when applied with No Headgear which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

With some notable form to its name Mishaal looks to be the one to be on for this 6f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.

DONCASTER RACECOURSE 1-25 Race Date 19/08/17 | Horse Racing

DONCASTER RACECOURSE FORM

Fortuities

Fortuities is a 3yo from the Jedd O’Keeffe stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Doncaster.

Over the last twelve months Fortuities does have bits of form on which to weigh up its chances including a run at Thirsk on the 22/08/2016, this was over today’s race distance and a good place was achieved on that occasion. But not all races are the same and the overall form for this runner may be seen as unproductive and there are others with better form.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Jedd O’Keeffe yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Hamriyah

Hamriyah is a 3yo from the Tim Easterby stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Doncaster.

Has only what would only be classed as passable form for this race and with a below standard outing recently at Catterick which was over 7f this can be marked down as a runner with average chance on form.

Win Lose Draw

Win Lose Draw is a 5yo from the Michael Appleby stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Doncaster.

Looking for something different then Win Lose Draw could be the one, it has what could be called middle of the road form but does have the advantage of finishing 1st at Wolverhampton which is a left handed course the same as Doncaster.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 13%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Jet Setter

Jet Setter is a 3yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Manuel Fernandes.

While recent form is probably preferred it may not always be there but by looking back over the last twelve months we can see a good example of what Jet Setter is capable when racing in a class 5 event. This good example came at Leicester on the 30/05/2017 when it filled the 1st spot.

Sire stats now and recent ones show a fine 16% strike rate when running in Flat event which us some above average form and stats.

This looks to be a good race and one in which Jet Setter appears to hold a chance due to the talented form which has been shown in the past and could very well be worth a bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Hitman

Hitman is a 4yo from the Rebecca Bastiman stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Doncaster.

Taking into account the overall form for Hitman it would be considered to have a middle of the road chance as there does not seem to be any real factors which stand out. This is a 7f race and ordinary or passable would be the words I would use and it can be seen as more of an each way chance.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 12%.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Athollblair Boy

Athollblair Boy is a 4yo from the Nigel Tinkler stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Doncaster.

This is a Flat race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Ripon on the 04/08/2015 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

The recent stats for Nigel Tinkler tells us that the results are average or undistinguished if you like when their runners have tried to win Flat events.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Mr Conundrum

Mr Conundrum is a 4yo from the Lynn Siddall stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Doncaster.

Does not have the greatest of form and others would be preferred but at least it did handle the left handed course when racing at Wolverhampton on the 21/10/2016, so although its form is substandard at least we know there are no problems with course layout.

Set to be ridden by Paddy Aspell for the Lynn Siddall and is a 4yo which may be a problem because the jockeys 6% strike rate over the last twelve months when ridding a 4yo.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Haraz

Haraz is a 4yo from the David O’Meara stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

One of the things to look for in a race that can be used to find first rate winners is the time of year that it is taking place and with Haraz we see that there was an admirable performance put up on the 04/08/2016, which is the same month as we are in now, came in 2nd on that occasion an that would appear to be good enough form for today’s event.

Recently Josh Doyle who is the chosen jockey has had a fair amount of luck when ridding runners fitted with a Visor which currently stands at a outstanding strike rate of 22%.

A runner out of the top draw here and one that looks to be in tiptop shape and ready to produce an exemplary display here at Doncaster.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Willsy

Willsy is a 4yo from the Karen Tutty stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Willsy does really look to have some excellent overall form on which to recommend it should be on any short list including when finishing 1st at Kempton on the 10/02/2016, while this may not be the most recent form it was over today’s distance of 7f.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Deansgate

Deansgate is a 4yo from the Julie Camacho stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Doncaster.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Deansgate we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 5 race at Thirsk a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 9%.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Sophisticated Heir

Sophisticated Heir is from the Kevin Frost and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Doncaster

This type of race looks as if suits Sophisticated Heir who is a 7yo and has run some splendid races on which to recommend it can be added to a short list including at Leicester in a Flat race, not the most current form but would described as commendable.

Sire stats now and recent ones show a fine 17% strike rate when running in Flat event which us some above average form and stats.

One for your short list I feel and looks to have the form which would enable it to be in the shake up, there maybe others with higher ratings but this one still looks to have a chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Roger Thorpe

Roger Thorpe is a 8yo from the John Balding stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Doncaster.

With ailing form and a below average Jadwiz rating is there anything on which to recommended a bet is in order for Roger Thorpe. Maybe today’s weight may help after all it did run a nice race when finishing 1st on the 08/05/2014 but that performance gives the impression of being inferior to what is required.

Time for some stats and in this case the trainers record lets us know this runners chances of success here are below average due to the fact that John Balding only has a 4% strike rate in Flat races.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the John Balding yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Let’s Twist

Let’s Twist is a 5yo from the Kristin Stubbs stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Doncaster.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Let’s Twist the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Kempton on the 07/09/2016 it carried 09-09 to fill the 1st spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

Some horses run better when young other when older and finding a jockey who gets on with different age groups can pay dividends, however in the particular case Shane Gray recent success rate is only an average looking 10% for a 5yo.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Red Mist

Red Mist is a 2yo from the Simon Crisford stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Newbury.

What makes this runners form admissible is the fact it got a good result recently when racing at Sandown when claiming the 1st place prize. Had a similar type of weight that day which it is set to carry in this race which gives Red Mist on form a modest chance.

So racing taking place on a left handed course and over the last twelve months the sires offspring when racing on these types of tracks have recorded a 12% strike rate.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Form for the runner is recent and also has the advantage that its run at Doncaster was the same type of race which give us an exquisite start to our fact finding mission and see no reason why Frankie Dettori could keep this one out of a place.

Frankie Dettori takes charge in this Flat which considering their strike rate of 23% over the last year in these events is excellent news.

Looks to be one of the main contenders here in this race with admirable form lines to back up its rating would look to have a top-notch chance of taking this event and would be a worthy selection.

He’s Amazing

He’s Amazing is a 2yo from the Clive Cox stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Newbury.

Recent stats from this runners sire would be classed as harmful when its progeny race over 7f as is the case here today, with a below average strike rate of 6% this one looks unproductive.

So for this runner lets have a look at the recent trainer record when their horses have been selected to run over 7f and with only an average set of results there will be others more suited.

Will start be letting you know this is a Flat race and Rustang does have recent form in these type of event, not great and overall form would only be average.

This event is a Flat race and by quickly looking through the jockeys results we can get a better picture of things and in this case a strike rate of 11% is only moderate or satisfactory.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

On the cards here is a Flat race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 11%.

So you are looking for a runner with excellent recent form, if that’s the case then Jawwaal fits the bill with its top-notch display at Newmarket over 7f when it got the 3rd prize of £5k for the John Gosden stable.

One of the things that enhances the runners form is the fact that this is a Flat race and I say that because the trainer over the last twelve months has proved to be excellent in these types of events by achieving a 21% strike rate.

Looks to be one of the runners here in which an investment could very well pay off with an excellent rating and some notable form to its name for this Stakes event.

This race is being run on a left handed course and the jockey Richard Kingscote has some very good recent form on these types of tracks, in fact a splendid 16% strike rate.

With splendid form this runner is rated amongst the top contenders for the honours here at Newbury today and appears to be very capable of at least making the frame in this event.

Ritha is from the Richard Hannon and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Newbury

Put in a below low par effort recently at Ascot when fitted with the same piece of headgear which wears today, that could be a slight concern but other than that would appear to have some beneficial form.

Looking at this runners weight and checking it against the sires current strike rate shows 18% of runners are hitting the right spot.

With splendid form this runner is rated amongst the top contenders for the honours here at Newbury today and appears to be very capable of at least making the frame in this event.
