KEMPTON RACECOURSE FORM

War Whisper

War Whisper is a 3yo from the Richard Hannon stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

This particular runner does have some excellent overall form which while not the most recent does still give it an excellent chance, one of these nuggets of form we see is that today’s weight is not to different to the one carried when finishing 1st at Goodwood on the 05/06/2015 and this could very well be a factor here.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Richard Hannon stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Torment

Torment is a 3yo from the Richard Hannon stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Windsor when Torment put in a meritorious display when applied with Blinkers which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Melabi

Melabi is a 3yo from the Richard Ford stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

With ailing form and a below average Jadwiz rating is there anything on which to recommended a bet is in order for Melabi. Maybe today’s weight may help after all it did run a nice race when finishing 1st on the 09/07/2015 but that performance gives the impression of being inferior to what is required.

Melabi is a 3yo and if we check the trainers overall record we can see some discouraging stats for their 3yo runners which currently stands around a strike rate of 4%.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Richard Ford yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Mon Beau Visage

Mon Beau Visage Gelding who for this race has Graham Gibbons on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as *** Error ***

So we know that this is a Handicap race so having a runner such as Mon Beau Visage on our side could be what we are looking for, after all it was this type of race where it finished 1st recently at Beverley, so looks a runner who is capable.

Mon Beau Visage is a 3yo and this age of runner has seen some very good recent results and currently the strike rate stands at around at 20%.

With splendid form this runner is rated amongst the top contenders for the honours here at Kempton today and appears to be very capable of at least making the frame in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Dream Of Summer

Dream Of Summer is a 3yo from the Andrew Balding stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

With this race being a Handicap we would be looking for good recent form in this type of race and on first glance we can see that Dream Of Summer did finish 1st in such a race but that result may very well not count for much.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Andrew Balding yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Threebagsue

Threebagsue is a 3yo from the J S Moore stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Intermediate form over the last twelve months is how things appear to be for Threebagsue who is a 3yo out of the sire by the name Lord Shanakill, or this is how things look when taking par in Handicap races. Did put in a tolerable run at Lingfield on the 28/12/2015 when ridden by Ryan Powell but the word average does spring to mind.

There is only some average recent form where jockey Josephine Gordon is concerned in Handicap races and with a typical strike rate this runner goes down as having a basic chance.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Run To The Hills

Run To The Hills is a 3yo from the George Peckham stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

We normally find that horses that have managed to finish 1st as this one did on the 26/08/2016 when wearing the same headgear would have sound claims but that race at Thirsk looked to be more of a run of the mill type of event.

This runner has average looking form along with the trainer who over the last year has recorded a basic strike rate when their runners have carried around the same weight as this one.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Ravenhoe

Ravenhoe is a 3yo from the Mark Johnston stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Ravenhoe we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 4 race at Doncaster a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Bondi Mist

Bondi Mist is a 7yo from the Jonathan Geake stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 19f race which taking part here at Hereford.

Does not have one of the highest Jadwiz ratings in this race and would possible be seen as more of an each way chance based on form that was on display when running in a Handicap race on the 03/07/2013 when finishing 1st.

This is a Handicap in which Bondi Mist with the help of Mark Grant will attempt to take first prize, however with the jockey only having an inferior 5% strike rate over the last twelve months this does not look like it will happen, not today in any case.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Jonathan Geake yard.

KEMPTON RACECOURSE FORM

Bennelong

Bennelong is a 10yo from the Lee Carter stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Kempton on the 19/02/2014 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

So lets have a look at some recent sire stats and in this case it’s for today’s race distance of 8f which show a bog standard 12% strike rate.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Lutine Charlie

Lutine Charlie is a 9yo from the Emma Owen stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Brighton on the 15/09/2014 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

Pat Cosgrave ridding the offspring from this runners sire has produced a passable set of stats over the last twelve months with a strike rate in the region of 11%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Play The Blues

Play The Blues is a 9yo from the Henry Tett stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Lingfield on the 01/05/2015 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Outlaw Torn

Outlaw Torn is a 7yo from the Richard Guest stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

This is a class 6 race and it helps to know that a runner has form when running in these type of events and with Outlaw Torn it does have some suitable outings over the last twelve months on which to make a decision. One of these races in which it put in a typical but has to be said undistinguished run was at Beverley when finishing 1st but as I said that form would be classed as ordinary.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Little Indian

Little Indian is a 6yo from the J R Jenkins stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Some horses are better suited to handicap races while others are not and in the case of Little Indian it looks as if today’s Handicap race will suit, after all it got 1st place when racing in a similar race at Lingfield and that looks to be agreeable form.

Over the last twelve months jockey Frederik Tylicki has been doing a splendid job when competing in 8f events, this valuable form shows a strike rate in the order of 18%.

By no means the top rated here for this race but its not that far off and with the form shown so far could not really be left out of the reckoning here for this race at Kempton.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Henry Grace

Henry Grace is a 5yo from the Jimmy Fox stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

This particular runner does have some excellent overall form which while not the most recent does still give it an excellent chance, one of these nuggets of form we see is that today’s weight is not to different to the one carried when finishing 1st at Kempton on the 14/01/2015 and this could very well be a factor here.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Jimmy Fox stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Gavarnie Encore

Gavarnie Encore Colt who for this race has Kieran O’Neill on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as *** Error ***

We need a runner that is competent in the class of race that it is running and in this case it’s a class 6 which means that Gavarnie Encore falls under the category after putting up a fine performance at Kempton and while not the latest form does display its talent.

After mixing in all the form lines for this runner the conclusion would be one who would reward an each way investment provided we can get the required odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Prince Of Time

Prince Of Time is a 4yo from the Richard Ford stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

The wearing of headgear can improve a runner but whether it will help here today I’m not to sure, after all it worn the same piece on the 13/08/2014 when unplaced and while that was not the most recent bit of form does look off putting.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Richard Ford yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Camino

Camino is a 3yo from the Henry Spiller stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Sometimes headgear can make a difference but if we judge things on its outing at Beverley on the 12/08/2015 its form on that occasion would be described as fair, ok may not be the most recent form but Camino ratings look to be unexceptional.

Think we will look at jockey stats this time for this Handicap race and in doing so we find that at 7% the strike rate for the last twelve month is not great but more average.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Bazzat

Bazzat is a 3yo from the John Ryan stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Recent good form in the right class could be the way of looking at things and in the case of Bazzat who is trained by John Ryan we can seen a nice run at Chelmsford in this class of race. But with that said it must be understood that the form of that race may be substandard and not as good as it first appeared.

So lets just see how the recent trainer stats hold up when they have been entered into 8f events and we can see things have not really be going well with a bush-league strike rate of only 5%.

The overall form for Bazzat looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Purple Party

Purple Party is a 3yo from the Gary Moore stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Class counts the saying goes but in the case of its recent outing at Brighton when racing in the same class of race as today’s the result only looked to be bog standard and on form it looks a place maybe the best result.

Swiftly moving onto the trainer and jockey combination here we see Hector Crouch teaming up with Gary Moore, over the last year this arrangement has produced mixed results with only results that could be call up to scratch or unremarkable.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Hodgkins Trust

Hodgkins Trust is a 3yo from the Julia Feilden stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Some detrimental form has been shown over the last twelve months when a No Headgear has been fitted and one of those was when unplaced at Bath when ridden by George Wood and therefore its form is considered to be bush-league.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Pintle’s Image

Pintle’s Image is a 4yo from the John Spearing stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Some detrimental form has been shown over the last twelve months when a No Headgear has been fitted and one of those was when unplaced at Windsor when ridden by Sam Hitchcott and therefore its form is considered to be bush-league.

Overall stats around this time of the year for John Spearing are on the low side with only a substandard 6% strike rate being recorded.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Curriculum

Curriculum Gelding who for this race has Jimmy Fortune on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as *** Error ***

Some say recent form is paramount and for those of you that do then this could be one of the ones on your short list, it is talented and has commendable run in which it finished 1st at Chelmsford not so long back over today’s distance.

This looks to be a good race and one in which Curriculum appears to hold a chance due to the talented form which has been shown in the past and could very well be worth a bet.

LUDLOW RACECOURSE 3-10 Race Date 05/10/16 | Horse Racing

October 5, 2016 Leave a comment

LUDLOW RACECOURSE FORM

Set List

Set List is a 7yo from the Emma Lavelle stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 25f race which taking part here at Ludlow.

This is a Chase race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Worcester on the 08/09/2015 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

Twelve month stats for the trainer are adequate for this age of runner and while not outstanding with a 13% strike rate may still be good enough to get Set List a place.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Easy Street

Easy Street is a 6yo from the Jonjo O’Neill stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 25f race which taking part here at Ludlow.

Another runner who’s form does not seem to be good enough for this race and the only good news would be its finishing position in a race that took place at Fontwell when it carried 11-12 to finish 1st. This is a similar sort of weight that it is set to carry today so could possible run a nice race.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

How About It

How About It is a 7yo from the Rebecca Curtis stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 25f race which taking part here at Ludlow.

This should be one of the leading horses in this race and has some excellent to speak of over the last twelve month including when putting in meritorious display when taking part in an event at Exeter when this Gelding with the assistance of Leighton Aspell got itself to finish 1st, that was a Chase race and another excellent run would be expected here today.

How About It is a 7yo and runners who are out of the sire Kayf Tara are currently hitting a strike rate of 25%.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Kilbree Kid

Kilbree Kid is a 9yo from the Tom George stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 25f race which taking part here at Ludlow.

Has form in Handicap races which while not first rate they could be described as satisfactory which suggests that maybe a place is the most likely results for Kilbree Kid.

This is a Chase race and the sires record when its progeny have raced in these type of events over the last twelve months has been 14%.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Heist

Heist is a 6yo from the Patrick Griffin stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 25f race which taking part here at Ludlow.

Heist did have a good result when carrying 11-02 and finishing 1st on the 03/09/2015 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Heist we see it is out of the sire by the name Galileo who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 7% when running in Handicap races.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Azure Fly

Azure Fly Gelding who for this race has Richard Johnson on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good To Firm

This type of race looks as if suits Azure Fly who is a 8yo and has run some splendid races on which to recommend it can be added to a short list including at Newton Abbot in a Chase race, not the most current form but would described as commendable.

Lets move on an with this contest being a Chase race it could be wise to look for some stats to back up this runners chance and this can be found easily by analysing the jockeys form. In this case over the last twelve months Richard Johnson has an accomplished strike rate of 20% which seems to go hand in hand with the runners form.

This runner looks to have an above average chance in this event and with its superior and dexterous form Azure Fly looks to be one of the main competitors for this race.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Song Of The Night

Song Of The Night is a 5yo from the Charlie Longsdon stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 20f race which taking part here at Towcester.

Another runner who’s form looks to be damaging is Song Of The Night and the only thing to write home about would be it came 3rd in a Hurdle race, not recently, but was within the last twelve months.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.
