KEMPTON RACECOURSE FORM

Weld Arab

Weld Arab is a 6yo from the Michael Blake stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Taking into account the overall form for Weld Arab it would be considered to have a middle of the road chance as there does not seem to be any real factors which stand out. This is a 12f race and ordinary or passable would be the words I would use and it can be seen as more of an each way chance.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Weld Arab we see it is out of the sire by the name Shamardal who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 8% when running in Handicap races.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Alshan Fajer

Alshan Fajer is a 7yo from the J R Jenkins stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Class of a horse can tell us what level a runner is capable of running to and if we look at the overall form of Alshan Fajer we can see outings which are generally run of the mill. These include an outing in a class 6 race at Lingfield a while back which would be described as suitable but not top draw.

Some sires produce offspring that develop early and there for have good strikes when young, in the case of Lemon Drop Kid who is today’s sire we can see results that would be classed as ordinary when the runner is a 7yo.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Sir Pass I Am

Sir Pass I Am is a 4yo from the Andrew Balding stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Over the last twelve months I can see some excellent form on which to recommend this runner especially over today’s distance of 12f, one of these races in which this Gelding put in a sterling effort was at Windsor on the 10/10/2016 and finished 3rd on that occasion which looked to be notable.

One of the things I noticed about this runner was that the sires offspring have shown a recent benefit from running with this type of headgear, stats are currently showing a 25% strike rate.

With some notable form to its name Sir Pass I Am looks to be the one to be on for this 12f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Bridey’s Lettuce

Bridey’s Lettuce is a 5yo from the John Best stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Another runner who’s form does not seem to be good enough for this race and the only good news would be its finishing position in a race that took place at Newcastle when it carried 09-07 to finish 2nd. This is a similar sort of weight that it is set to carry today so could possible run a nice race.

If we apply a weight range to the 09-08 this runner is set to carry, example a few pounds either way, we can check the sires recent record with its offspring which shows an unproductive 6% strike rate.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Shining Romeo

Shining Romeo is a 5yo from the Denis Quinn stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

For this runner I think its best to look at its results for the last twelve month to try and make a case for backing it. Finished 1st in a race that took place on the 28/01/2017 which was a Handicap race, but with that said the form still looks below average.

This is a Handicap in which Shining Romeo with the help of Tim Clark will attempt to take first prize, however with the jockey only having an inferior 5% strike rate over the last twelve months this does not look like it will happen, not today in any case.

The overall form for Shining Romeo looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Multigifted

Multigifted is a 4yo from the Michael Madgwick stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Intermediate form over the last twelve months is how things appear to be for Multigifted who is a 4yo out of the sire by the name Multiplex, or this is how things look when taking par in Handicap races. Did put in a tolerable run at Kempton on the 02/11/2016 when ridden by Liam Keniry but the word average does spring to mind.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Munsarim

Munsarim is from the Lee Carter and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Kempton

This runner looks to have above average form and one of the reasons is its proven form when taking part in Handicap races like the one today. In finishing 1st in a race on the 08/06/2016 it proved itself to be capable of winning a race of this nature.

The sires offspring can run well but sometimes depends on the weight carried and in this case the weight carried is to be classed as positive and over the last twelve months there has been a 15% strike rate.

This looks to be a good race and one in which Munsarim appears to hold a chance due to the talented form which has been shown in the past and could very well be worth a bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Rail Dancer

Rail Dancer is a 5yo from the Richard Rowe stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

With this race being a Handicap we would be looking for good recent form in this type of race and on first glance we can see that Rail Dancer did finish 1st in such a race but that result may very well not count for much.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Monologue

Monologue is from the Simon Hodgson and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Kempton

Finding the right weight range for a horse could be the key in this race and Monologue looks to be in the zone having put in a praiseworthy display recently at Kempton when it carried 09-06 to finish a worthy 1st.

With some efficient and praiseworthy form to its name this would most likely be included in most short lists and who would I be to argue and I’m sure Simon Hodgson with have this one fit and ready to be battle.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Dalavand

Dalavand is a 4yo from the Laura Mongan stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Some runners can be out of their depth or running races well below what they are capable of which is not usually a good sign but with Dalavand we see some first rate form in the shape of an outing on the 06/07/2016 when placed 2nd, that looked an excellent class 6 race so a prime example of a worth selection for today’s event.

Looks to be one of the runners here in which an investment could very well pay off with an excellent rating and some notable form to its name for this Handicap event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Bergholt

Bergholt is a 4yo from the Tim Vaughan stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 12f race which taking part here at Kempton.

For this runner I think its best to look at its results for the last twelve month to try and make a case for backing it. Finished 3rd in a race that took place on the 19/05/2016 which was a Handicap race, but with that said the form still looks below average.

General form for this runner is detrimental and it’s the same story when looking at the results for the offspring for the sire, this lets us know that there has only been a 5% strike rate for runners when racing as a 4yo.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Picansort

Picansort is a 10yo from the Peter Crate stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Picansort does really look to have some excellent overall form on which to recommend it should be on any short list including when finishing 1st at Brighton on the 07/08/2015, while this may not be the most recent form it was over today’s distance of 5f.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Peter Crate stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

AYR RACECOURSE 5-40 Race Date 22/04/17 | Horse Racing

April 21, 2017 Leave a comment

AYR RACECOURSE FORM

Cap St Vincent

Cap St Vincent is a 4yo from the Paul Nicholls stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Ayr.

has ridden Cap St Vincent in the past when competing for a race but the form of that race would be said to be indifferent or typical.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Rooster Spirit

Rooster Spirit is a 4yo from the R Mike Smith stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Ayr.

For this runner I think its best to look at its results for the last twelve month to try and make a case for backing it. Finished 3rd in a race that took place on the 14/02/2017 which was a Stakes race, but with that said the form still looks below average.

This is a Stakes in which Rooster Spirit with the help of Callum Bewley will attempt to take first prize, however with the jockey only having an inferior 5% strike rate over the last twelve months this does not look like it will happen, not today in any case.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Saint Freule

Saint Freule is a 4yo from the Lucinda Russell stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Based on form this one I don’t think should be on most punters short list as its overall form does look to be bush-league and not up to what others look capable of running to. However if we look back to a race that took place on we can see it did finish unknown when today’s jockey was in the hot seat.

Set to be ridden by Derek Fox for the Lucinda Russell and is a 4yo which may be a problem because the jockeys 6% strike rate over the last twelve months when ridding a 4yo.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Lucinda Russell yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Manetti

Manetti is from the I R Ferguson and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Ayr

Manetti looks to be a capable Gelding with some praiseworthy form especially when Tom O’Brien is ridding, one of these such races was at on the and while we would like it to be more recent I feel it is still a valuable form line.

A accomplished competitor for an event like this and also one who appears to have a chance, not top rated but then again not to far away and when you through in its splendid form it all adds up to a worthy participant.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Cool Mix

Cool Mix is a 5yo from the Iain Jardine stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Ayr.

Over the past year Cool Mix appears to have delivered some ordinary results including an unplaced effort at Musselburgh on the 20/01/2017 when unplaced and makes this ones form look run of the mill.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Stakes races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Flashing Glance

Flashing Glance is a 4yo from the Tom Lacey stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 16f race which taking part here at Ayr.

This runner looks to have above average form and one of the reasons is its proven form when taking part in Stakes races like the one today. In finishing 3rd in a race on the 26/11/2016 it proved itself to be capable of winning a race of this nature.

Looking at this runners weight and checking it against the sires current strike rate shows 20% of runners are hitting the right spot.

An accomplished looking runner who looks capable of landing a race like this, it has the form and ratings suggest that its not to far from the top which all adds up to make this a worthy entrant.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Pym

Pym is a 4yo from the Nicky Henderson stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Ayr.

has ridden Pym in the past when competing for a race but the form of that race would be said to be indifferent or typical.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Pym we see it is out of the sire by the name Stowaway who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 11% when running in Stakes races.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Donna’s Delight

Donna’s Delight is a 6yo from the Sandy Thomson stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Ayr.

What form does Donna’s Delight have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 02/01/2017 when it finished 1st. On that day it was racing over 16f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

Some horses run better when young other when older and finding a jockey who gets on with different age groups can pay dividends, however in the particular case Brian Hughes recent success rate is only an average looking 13% for a 6yo.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Keyboard Gangster

Keyboard Gangster is a 6yo from the Donald Whillans stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Ayr.

So we have a Stakes event and a runner with some below par form and one of those below average performances came at Perth in a 5 Stakes race when it was unplaced.

The last twelve months worth of stats for this sire are substandard or at least when its offspring have been racing over today’s race distance which is currently set in the region of a 5% strike rate.

Looks to be slightly deficient this runner with ailing form to its name and would not of thought that this one would be fighting out the finish.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Baracalu

Baracalu is a 6yo from the Sandy Thomson stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

So why would Jadwiz give this one an excellent rating and chance of taking the first prize? Well first reason, which may not be apparent to everyone is the fact it has the same piece of headgear which was used when gaining an excellent result at Hexham in a UK Jumps race.

An interesting stats for this runners sire is the fact that recent results show that when the runner has been trained by Sandy Thomson there is a 100% exceptional strike rate.

A runner out of the top draw here and one that looks to be in tiptop shape and ready to produce an exemplary display here at Ayr.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Aye Aye Charlie

Aye Aye Charlie is a 5yo from the Fergal O’Brien stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Ayr.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Aye Aye Charlie the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Southwell on the 31/01/2017 it carried 11-04 to fill the 1st spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Stakes races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Ballyvic Boru

Ballyvic Boru is a 5yo from the Brian Ellison stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This runner would appear to be one of the top selections for this race based on a race it ran in at Musselburgh on the 05/02/2017 when ridden by Kaine Wood, finished 1st in that event and with the same piece of headgear on again today looks to be an added bonus.

Recently when Kaine Wood has ridden a runner with a similar weight as the one they are due to get the leg up on today there has been an excellent strike rate of 50%.

Looks a first class choice to take the winners prize back to Brian Ellison having proved itself highly capable of taking in a race like this and would expect an admirable display.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Indian Pursuit

Indian Pursuit is a 4yo from the John Quinn stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 5f race which taking part here at Wolverhampton.

The one thing that the form book does show for Indian Pursuit is that with the right headgear, which it has today, it can sometimes run well. With that said I do feel that today will not be one of them as there are far to many other runners with better form lines.

John Quinn record in Handicap races recently can be described as ailing with a low strike rate of only 5% being recorded.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Indian Pursuit would be classed as having a below average chance.

LINGFIELD RACECOURSE 4-40 Race Date 20/04/17 | Horse Racing

LINGFIELD RACECOURSE FORM

Mulled Wine

Mulled Wine is a 4yo from the John Best stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Another runner who’s form does not seem to be good enough for this race and the only good news would be its finishing position in a race that took place at Kempton when it carried 09-04 to finish 2nd. This is a similar sort of weight that it is set to carry today so could possible run a nice race.

Has below average form for today’s chosen jockey when Kieren Fox has ridden in races over 8f and the recent results show an unproductive 6% strike rate.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the John Best yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Lord Murphy

Lord Murphy is a 4yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Adam Kirby.

So we know that this is a Handicap race so having a runner such as Lord Murphy on our side could be what we are looking for, after all it was this type of race where it finished 1st recently at Wolverhampton, so looks a runner who is capable.

One for your short list I feel and looks to have the form which would enable it to be in the shake up, there maybe others with higher ratings but this one still looks to have a chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Home Again

Home Again is a 4yo from the Lee Carter stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Home Again is one of the runners here that takes the eye with some outstanding performances to its name most notable of these I feel was when finishing 2nd at Ayr in a class 6 event the same as today’s which gets us off to a admirable start with our form studying.

Trainer stats on a left handed course have recently shown a high success rate of 33% which makes this one of the top runners in this race.

A runner out of the top draw here and one that looks to be in tiptop shape and ready to produce an exemplary display here at Lingfield.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Whispered Kiss

Whispered Kiss is a 4yo from the Mike Murphy stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Over the past year Whispered Kiss appears to have delivered some ordinary results including an unplaced effort at Chelmsford on the 23/08/2016 when unplaced and makes this ones form look run of the mill.

This runner is has an average chance and the stats which demonstrate this best are the sires offspring when racing in Handicap event and over the last twelve months there has been a 10% strike rate.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Coup De Vent

Coup De Vent is a 6yo from the John O’Shea stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

With ailing form and a below average Jadwiz rating is there anything on which to recommended a bet is in order for Coup De Vent. Maybe today’s weight may help after all it did run a nice race when finishing 1st on the 30/12/2015 but that performance gives the impression of being inferior to what is required.

The jockey has some below average form at the moment in Handicap races which is off putting and is only hitting the target 4% of the time.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Gavarnie Encore

Gavarnie Encore is a 5yo from the Michael Blanshard stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Some horses are natural born racers while others need a bit of persuading to bring out the best in them and this often comes in the form some type of headgear and if we look back to a race that took place on 17/08/2015 we see it finished 1st with a No Headgear, same as today.

A Handicap where Kieran O’Neill is given a leg up to get the job done and if stats are anything to go by looks possible due to their recent strike rate of 15% in this type of event.

This runner looks to have an above average chance in this event and with its superior and dexterous form Gavarnie Encore looks to be one of the main competitors for this race.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Blackthorn Stick

Blackthorn Stick is a 8yo from the Paul Burgoyne stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Wolverhampton on the 10/01/2014 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

This runner has average looking form along with the trainer who over the last year has recorded a basic strike rate when their runners have carried around the same weight as this one.

This runner could very well have what is known as bog standard form and winners tend to be a shade better thought of than that but its by no means totally out of it but would appear to need a bit of luck to win here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Tilly’s Bridge

Tilly’s Bridge is a 4yo from the Steve Woodman stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

No Headgear is fitted for this race and while it has worn this before results have not always gone the right way, one of these races was when unplaced at Lingfield when ridden by Jack Mitchell on the 28/01/2017.

This runner has average looking form along with the trainer who over the last year has recorded a basic strike rate when their runners have carried around the same weight as this one.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Fairy Mist

Fairy Mist is a 10yo from the John Bridger stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Does not have one of the highest Jadwiz ratings in this race and would possible be seen as more of an each way chance based on form that was on display when running in a Handicap race on the 20/01/2016 when finishing 1st.

So the course direction for Lingfield is left handed and over the last twelve months the sire stats for this type of track is below average with only a 6% strike rate.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

General Brook

General Brook is a 7yo from the John O’Shea stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Lingfield.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Over the last twelve months things have not been great for Mitch Godwin when ridding races over a distance of 8f their strike rate has been below par at 4% and looks discouraging.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Caribbean Spring

Caribbean Spring is a 4yo from the George Margarson stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

This runner would appear to be one of the top selections for this race based on a race it ran in at Yarmouth on the 18/10/2016 when ridden by Jane Elliott, finished 3rd in that event and with the same piece of headgear on again today looks to be an added bonus.

The conclusion for this runner is that it could safely be added to any short list and could very well be the top selection to land the first prize here.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Hold Sway

Hold Sway is a 3yo from the Charlie Appleby stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 10f race which taking part here at Newmarket.

So for today’s event we have a Stakes race which is a bonus because this is the same as was encountered on the 08/03/2017 when racing at Kempton, on that day it put up what would be described as a sterling performance to grab 2nd place.

This looks a nice Flat race and one in which Dubawi, who is the sire has some exquisite recent stats. These stats show a first class strike rate of 30% when its offspring have run in Flat races.

This runner out of the Charlie Appleby stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

With ailing form and a below average Jadwiz rating is there anything on which to recommended a bet is in order for Miss Ranger. Maybe today’s weight may help after all it did run a nice race when finishing 1st on the 08/10/2015 but that performance gives the impression of being inferior to what is required.

If we apply a weight range to the 09-05 this runner is set to carry, example a few pounds either way, we can check the sires recent record with its offspring which shows an unproductive 5% strike rate.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Fidelma Moon

Fidelma Moon is a 5yo from the K R Burke stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Overall form for Fidelma Moon is generally unproductive and inferior to others in this race and while it has some reasonable results over this distance namely when finishing 1st on the 13/04/2016 it would be seen as more of a each way or long shot.

General form for this runner is detrimental and it’s the same story when looking at the results for the offspring for the sire, this lets us know that there has only been a 6% strike rate for runners when racing as a 5yo.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Livella Fella

Livella Fella is a 4yo from the Keith Dalgleish stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Beverley.

This is a class 5 race and it helps to know that a runner has form when running in these type of events and with Livella Fella it does have some suitable outings over the last twelve months on which to make a decision. One of these races in which it put in a typical but has to be said undistinguished run was at Beverley when finishing 1st but as I said that form would be classed as ordinary.

This is a Flat race and the sires record when its progeny have raced in these type of events over the last twelve months has been 11%.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Popsies Joy

Popsies Joy is a 4yo from the Tim Easterby stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 8f race which taking part here at Beverley.

This runner would appear to be one of the top selections for this race based on a race it ran in at Beverley on the 28/05/2016 when ridden by Duran Fentiman, finished 1st in that event and with the same piece of headgear on again today looks to be an added bonus.

This runner out of the Tim Easterby stable has distinguished form which suggests that this would be one of the top contenders here today.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Forever A Lady

Forever A Lady is a 4yo from the Keith Dalgleish stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Beverley.

Overall form shows that Forever A Lady who is a 4yo has run in Flat races before and has finished well but this form looks substandard and is not the most up to date and may be best to give this one the swerve.

The overall form for Forever A Lady looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Rosamaria

Rosamaria is a 4yo from the Julie Camacho stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Beverley.

This is a Flat race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 2nd at Chepstow on the 25/08/2015 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

There is only some average recent form where jockey Joe Doyle is concerned in Handicap races and with a typical strike rate this runner goes down as having a basic chance.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Dose

Dose is a 4yo from the Richard Fahey stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Exemplary Handicap form is what I feel this one can offer which will compliment a race of this nature and also enhance its chance of taking the winners prize back to Richard Fahey training yard. While its race at Southwell on the 24/01/2017 is not the most recent it does prove it can be taken seriously.

Richard Fahey running a 4yo recently has produced some outstanding stats which show a current strike rate of 24% which goes well with the runners form for this race.

Looks a first class choice to take the winners prize back to Richard Fahey having proved itself highly capable of taking in a race like this and would expect an admirable display.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Beadlam

Beadlam is a 4yo from the Roger Fell stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 8f race which taking part here at Beverley.

We normally find that horses that have managed to finish 1st as this one did on the 02/08/2016 when wearing the same headgear would have sound claims but that race at Catterick looked to be more of a run of the mill type of event.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Beadlam we see it is out of the sire by the name Frozen Power who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 9% when running in Handicap races.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Oscar O’Scar

Oscar O’Scar is a 9yo from the Micky Hammond stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 21f race which taking part here at Sedgefield.

This is a Chase race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 1st at Sedgefield on the 25/02/2016 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Oscar O’Scar we see it is out of the sire by the name Oscar who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 9% when running in Handicap races.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Celer Et Audax

Celer Et Audax is a 5yo from the John O’Shea stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

So lets have a look at some recent sire stats and in this case it’s for today’s race distance of 16f which show a bog standard 13% strike rate.

Does not have the best form in the race and only looks ordinary but there may be a chance of this one getting itself into a place, whether the bookmakers price this one up to allow an each way is a different matter.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Lady Vitesse

Lady Vitesse is a 4yo from the Gary Moore stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Over the past year Lady Vitesse appears to have delivered some ordinary results including an unplaced effort at Lingfield on the 31/01/2017 when unplaced and makes this ones form look run of the mill.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Momella

Momella is a 5yo from the Dan Skelton stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

This runner is has an average chance and the stats which demonstrate this best are the sires offspring when racing in Stakes event and over the last twelve months there has been a 11% strike rate.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Rouergate

Rouergate is a 4yo from the Venetia Williams stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Sally Sparrow

Sally Sparrow is a 4yo from the David Dennis stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Today’s weight for this runner is very similar to the one recently carried at Southwell when unplaced and that form appears to be how good this runner is and not ideal selection for this race.

So Sally Sparrow is a 4yo and recently there have been some less than encouraging results where the sires offspring are concerned and with an insufficient strike rate of only 4% others will be preferred.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

If You Say Run

If You Say Run is from the Paul Nicholls and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Chepstow

Has an above average rating and looks a proficient runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Recent results show that when Sam Twiston-Davies is on board a 5yo runner the stats look to be in our favour and at the current strike rate of 17% appears to be valuable form.

Capable of putting in a superior run here and while this one is not at the very top it does have some praiseworthy form to its name which means it would at least be worthy candidate for a short list.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Jaunty Soria

Jaunty Soria is a 4yo from the Brian Eckley stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Chepstow.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Jockeys record can tell us how likely they are of winning by looking at past results and the upshot of the matter is that Robert Dunne has a discouraging strike rate of 4% in Stakes events.

The overall form for Jaunty Soria looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Monrocco

Monrocco is a 4yo from the Kim Bailey stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Has an excellent rating and looks a distinguished runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

left handed course here at Chepstow and these types of tracks have been an excellent hunting ground for Kim Bailey who boasts a first class strike rate of 38%.

Would appear to have an outstanding chance is this race and form suggests a bet could very well be in order for this runner who looks first rate.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Albizu Campos

Albizu Campos is a 3yo from the Lawrence Mullaney stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 6f race which taking part here at Redcar.

Good recent form is what we are after in a race like this but with Albizu Campos this does not look to be the case, in fact its form looks rather discouraging, only spark of light would be that it did fill the 3rd spot when wearing the same piece of headgear.

Glancing at the recent jockey stats in Flat races we see today’s jockey does not have a great set of results, in fact it’s a discouraging 5%.

The overall form for Albizu Campos looks to be unproductive or insufficient for a race like this and there are plenty of other runners to choose from.

FFOS LAS RACECOURSE 5-45 Race Date 16/04/17 | Horse Racing

April 15, 2017 Leave a comment

FFOS LAS RACECOURSE FORM

On Alberts Head

On Alberts Head is a 7yo from the Richard Woollacott stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 15f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of On Alberts Head the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Huntingdon on the 30/05/2016 it carried 11-12 to fill the 1st spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 9%.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Orthodox Lad

Orthodox Lad is a 9yo from the Grace Harris stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 15f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Orthodox Lad ran at Leicester, finished 2nd on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

A runners form can tell you about its ability but we also need to know how well the trainers string have been performing in the type of race that they are due to run in and with Grace Harris stables strike rate of only 5% over the last year for Hurdle events things are looking unproductive.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Bambi Du Noyer

Bambi Du Noyer is a 6yo from the David Pipe stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 15f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

The form for Bambi Du Noyer is outstanding and looks to have what it will take for a race like this, ok so its got the same piece of headgear on that it wore when unplaced at Cartmel on the 01/06/2016 but besides that the form looks top-notch.

With a admirable partnership here in the form of trainer David Pipe and jockey Tom Scudamore we have found ourselves an excellent selection which has a joint strike rate of 100%.

Looks to be one of the main contenders here in this race with admirable form lines to back up its rating would look to have a top-notch chance of taking this event and would be a worthy selection.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Jinsha Lake

Jinsha Lake is a 5yo from the Evan Williams stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 15f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Another runner who’s form looks to be damaging is Jinsha Lake and the only thing to write home about would be it came 1st in a Hurdle race, not recently, but was within the last twelve months.

The jockey has some below average form at the moment in Handicap races which is off putting and is only hitting the target 4% of the time.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Equleus

Equleus is a 5yo from the Katie Stephens stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 15f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Equleus ran at Kempton, finished 1st on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

So the course direction for Ffos Las is left handed and over the last twelve months the sire stats for this type of track is below average with only a 5% strike rate.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Grisedenuit

Grisedenuit is a 5yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Mikey Hamill.

This type of race looks as if suits Grisedenuit who is a 5yo and has run some splendid races on which to recommend it can be added to a short list including at Doncaster in a Hurdle race, not the most current form but would described as commendable.

So lets take a look at the stats for Mikey Hamill who is today’s jockey and we can see some above average results when racing over 15f and this 20% strike rate would seem to be praiseworthy.

An accomplished looking runner who looks capable of landing a race like this, it has the form and ratings suggest that its not to far from the top which all adds up to make this a worthy entrant.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Desertmore Hill

Desertmore Hill is a 7yo from the Kerry Lee stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Desertmore Hill does really look to have some excellent overall form on which to recommend it should be on any short list including when finishing 1st at Warwick on the 23/04/2015, while this may not be the most recent form it was over today’s distance of 15f.

Hurdle race for both horse and jockey to contend with here and as far as Richard Johnson is concerned there should be no problem due to their recent success rate of 23% in this type of event.

The conclusion for this runner is that it could safely be added to any short list and could very well be the top selection to land the first prize here.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Sulamani The Late

Sulamani The Late Gelding who for this race has Harry Skelton on board which looks like helping here on ground which is marked down as Good

Having the right headgear fitted can sometimes help and with Sulamani The Late it certainly appears to be the case and was proved when putting in a commendable recent run by finishing 2nd at Sedgefield when it was fitted with a No Headgear, so looks above average choice for this race.

Lets move on an with this contest being a Hurdle race it could be wise to look for some stats to back up this runners chance and this can be found easily by analysing the jockeys form. In this case over the last twelve months Harry Skelton has an accomplished strike rate of 19% which seems to go hand in hand with the runners form.

One for your short list I feel and looks to have the form which would enable it to be in the shake up, there maybe others with higher ratings but this one still looks to have a chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

My Cousin Rachel

My Cousin Rachel is a 6yo from the Kim Bailey stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 15f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

What form does My Cousin Rachel have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 15/11/2016 when it finished 3rd. On that day it was racing over 16f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

So for this runner lets have a look at the recent trainer record when their horses have been selected to run over 15f and with only an average set of results there will be others more suited.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Istimraar

Istimraar is a 6yo from the Alexandra Dunn stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 15f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

So what chance does Istimraar on its overall form? Well ailing would be how its form could be described with only one small glimmer of light being its race at Sedgefield which while not recent it did manage to finish 1st in that class 4 event.

Glancing at the recent jockey stats in Hurdle races we see today’s jockey does not have a great set of results, in fact it’s a discouraging 4%.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Calculated Risk

Calculated Risk is a 8yo from the Debra Hamer stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 15f race which taking part here at Ffos Las.

Calculated Risk did have a good result when carrying 11-04 and finishing 1st on the 20/03/2016 but that is not the most recent of form but you could say its acceptable.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Handicap races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.
