FONTWELL RACECOURSE FORM

Romeo Americo

Romeo Americo is a 9yo from the Seamus Mullins stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

This is a Hurdle race and although it has run in these type of races in the past and even managed to be placed 2nd at Kempton on the 12/01/2013 its overall form is more what you would call guideline.

Think we will look at jockey stats this time for this Handicap race and in doing so we find that at 7% the strike rate for the last twelve month is not great but more average.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Shanaway

Shanaway is a 5yo from the Neil King stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

There is only some average recent form where jockey Trevor Whelan is concerned in Handicap races and with a typical strike rate this runner goes down as having a basic chance.

This runner only looks to have middling form and would not really be seen as one of the leading lights but more middle of the road for this event, however could possible reward an each way type of bet.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Thepartysover

Thepartysover is a 11yo who looks to have some fine form for this Handicap race and today is ridden by Mr G Treacy.

While recent form is probably preferred it may not always be there but by looking back over the last twelve months we can see a good example of what Thepartysover is capable when racing in a class 5 event. This good example came at Fontwell on the 08/12/2015 when it filled the 1st spot.

With some efficient and praiseworthy form to its name this would most likely be included in most short lists and who would I be to argue and I’m sure Paul Henderson with have this one fit and ready to be battle.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

On The Road

On The Road is a 6yo from the Evan Williams stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

So lets have a look at what On The Road has achieved in the last twelve months and one of the better ones was in a Hurdle race at Taunton when achieving a satisfactory 1st place. Paul Moloney rode a fair and passable race for Evan Williams on that occasion and one would expect another up to scratch type of performance.

So moving on a bit and a quick mention about this Hurdle race and jockey Adam Wedge who in these types of races over the last twelve months has not performed with finesse, only an average looking strike rate of 8% has been recorded.

With some middle of the road performances and generally indifferent form this ones chances are modest and there are a number of entrants which look better suited.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Fraser Canyon

Fraser Canyon is a 4yo from the Tim Vaughan stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Hurdle is on offer here and Fraser Canyon looks to have some agreeable if rather basic form and included in those average runs would be an unplaced effort at Newton Abbot when ridden by Alan Johns.

On the cards here is a Hurdle race and recent results show that the sire for this runner has produced offspring that have gained some middle of the road results, at the moment the strike rate is 9%.

Has admissible but intermediate form and would only be of general interest if the odds are in our favour which would mean an each way bet might be on the cards.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Robben

Robben is a 4yo from the Alexandra Dunn stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Overall form shows that Robben who is a 4yo has run in Hurdle races before and has finished well but this form looks substandard and is not the most up to date and may be best to give this one the swerve.

A runners form can tell you about its ability but we also need to know how well the trainers string have been performing in the type of race that they are due to run in and with Alexandra Dunn stables strike rate of only 6% over the last year for Hurdle events things are looking unproductive.

With some discouraging results and below par performances this runner would be seen by most as having a less than average chance of taking the first prize here in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Willshebetrying

Willshebetrying is a 5yo from the Mark Hoad stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Willshebetrying the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Lingfield on the 01/12/2015 it carried 11-02 to fill the 3rd spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Shalianzi

Shalianzi is a 6yo from the Chris Gordon stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

We need a runner that is competent in the class of race that it is running and in this case it’s a class 5 which means that Shalianzi falls under the category after putting up a fine performance at Lingfield and while not the latest form does display its talent.

Capable of putting in a superior run here and while this one is not at the very top it does have some praiseworthy form to its name which means it would at least be worthy candidate for a short list.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Rolling Dough

Rolling Dough is a 8yo from the Diana Grissell stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Exemplary Handicap form is what I feel this one can offer which will compliment a race of this nature and also enhance its chance of taking the winners prize back to Diana Grissell training yard. While its race at Fontwell on the 29/04/2016 is not the most recent it does prove it can be taken seriously.

Looks to be one of the runners here in which an investment could very well pay off with an excellent rating and some notable form to its name for this Handicap event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Baldadash

Baldadash is a 11yo from the Jose Santos stable who has some excellent form on which to recommend a bet for this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Baldadash is one of the runners here that takes the eye with some outstanding performances to its name most notable of these I feel was when finishing 1st at Newton Abbot in a class 5 event the same as today’s which gets us off to a admirable start with our form studying.

With some notable form to its name Baldadash looks to be the one to be on for this 19f event and I can see no reason as to why this would not have a excellent chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Dropzone

Dropzone is a 7yo from the Brian Forsey stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Overall form shows that Dropzone who is a 7yo has run in Hurdle races before and has finished well but this form looks substandard and is not the most up to date and may be best to give this one the swerve.

The record of this runners sire is discouraging with only a 6% strike rate at this time of the year and with some below par results like these it would be an idea to concentrate on others in the race.

Could not be classed has having a great chance of taking the winners prize back to the trainers stable and other better candidate can easily be found.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Sea Serpent

Sea Serpent is a 4yo from the Gary Moore stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Twelve month form does look to be ailing with some below par efforts put in and one of these off putting displays was at Ascot in a Hurdle race the same as encountered here which does not go to well with a below average rating.

With some bush-league performances and a below par rating I don’t think this one should be on many short lists and would not think the winners prize will be going back to the Gary Moore yard.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Sober Sailor

Sober Sailor is a 9yo from the Jamie Poulton stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 19f race which taking part here at Fontwell.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Jockeys record can tell us how likely they are of winning by looking at past results and the upshot of the matter is that Mattie Batchelor has a discouraging strike rate of 4% in Handicap events.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Sober Sailor would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Poetic Rhythm

Poetic Rhythm is a 5yo from the Fergal O’Brien stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Cheltenham.

The overall form for Poetic Rhythm shows that there was a race on the 09/10/2016 at Chepstow when finishing 1st that the same piece of headgear was fitted, although I feel that the result on that day was more of what you would call a typical or regular type of an event.

A 5yo runner here and with Paddy Brennan due to get the leg up its run would be expected to be moderate and this is based on the modest overall strike rate of 13% when ridding 5yo.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

KEMPTON RACECOURSE FORM

Alberta

Alberta is a 7yo from the Jim Best stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

What makes this runners form admissible is the fact it got a good result recently when racing at Epsom when claiming the 1st place prize. Had a similar type of weight that day which it is set to carry in this race which gives Alberta on form a modest chance.

This runner is has an average chance and the stats which demonstrate this best are the sires offspring when racing in Handicap event and over the last twelve months there has been a 9% strike rate.

An average looking runner with adequate but unremarkable form for a race like this and there are others that are preferred and it could be an idea to look at some of the other contenders.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

The Unit

The Unit is a 5yo from the Alan King stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

The use of different types of headgear can make a difference to a horses running and this would have been no doubt the case at Newbury when The Unit put in a meritorious display when applied with No Headgear which is the same as we have here again today, so we are off to an excellent start with this runner.

So on to the race type which is a Hurdle and if the trainer has a good recent record in these types of races it would mean we have a nice selection. The stats show that Alan King has been recently hitting at strike rate of 27% in these type of events so looks as if we have found an excellent runner with both good form and stats.

Looks a first class choice to take the winners prize back to Alan King having proved itself highly capable of taking in a race like this and would expect an admirable display.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Below Average

Le Capricieux

Le Capricieux is a 5yo from the Gary Moore stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

What form does Le Capricieux have? Well the best way of looking at this runner is to take into account its last twelve months of form and by doing this we can see there was a race on the 30/05/2016 when it finished 2nd. On that day it was racing over 16f the same as today but it could be said that it was only a moderate type of an event.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Herons Heir

Herons Heir is a 8yo from the Dan Skelton stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Some splendid form over today’s race distance of 16f and while the race at Warwick on the 02/05/2016 may not be right up to the minute but it was a praiseworthy ride by Harry Skelton on that occasion.

So lets move onto the trainer stats for Hurdle races and in the last year we see a 19% strike rate when Dan Skelton has chosen a runner to compete in these events.

By no means the top rated here for this race but its not that far off and with the form shown so far could not really be left out of the reckoning here for this race at Kempton.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Burning Desire

Burning Desire is a 5yo from the Richard Hughes stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Headgear is used in an attempt to get the most from a runner and can sometimes have desired affect as was the case when Burning Desire ran at Newbury, finished 3rd on that occasion and is not the most recent of form and looks to have far more to do here today.

The expression dime-a-dozen sprung to mind when going through the form for this runner and with a low rating this runner appears inferior.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Satanic Beat

Satanic Beat is a 7yo from the Phil Middleton stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 16f race which taking part here at Kempton.

I looked through all this ones form to find something which could make it stand out and while there was a Handicap race it took part in at Kelso on the 17/09/2014 its performance that day only appeared to be moderate or standard.

So here we are with Satanic Beat ready to take part in a Handicap race which may not be the best choice due to the fact that over the last year its current trainer has only hit the winners enclosure 7% of the time which is only a moderate success rate.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Lethal Impact

Lethal Impact is a 2yo from the David Simcock stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 8f race which taking part here at Newcastle.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

KEMPTON RACECOURSE FORM

Ghadaayer

Ghadaayer is a 2yo from the Sir Michael Stoute stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has form in Stakes races which while not first rate they could be described as satisfactory which suggests that maybe a place is the most likely results for Ghadaayer.

There is only some average recent form where jockey Jimmy Fortune is concerned in Stakes races and with a typical strike rate this runner goes down as having a basic chance.

Form for this runner looks up to scratch but with better candidates in this race its overall chance could only be classed as admissible.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Meshaykh

Meshaykh is a 2yo from the Sir Michael Stoute stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has only what would only be classed as passable form for this race and with a below standard outing recently at Newmarket which was over 7f this can be marked down as a runner with average chance on form.

Around this time of the year Sir Michael Stoute the jockey tends to produce some moderate results and this can be seen from the average strike rate of 9%.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Tomyris

Tomyris is a 2yo from the Roger Varian stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

A 2yo runner here and with Andrea Atzeni due to get the leg up its run would be expected to be moderate and this is based on the modest overall strike rate of 14% when ridding 2yo.

Moving onto the conclusion for this runner and with only what could be described as acceptable or tolerable form this one can just be given an average chance here for this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Above Average

Alouja

Alouja is a 2yo from the Hugo Palmer stable who has some praiseworthy form on which to recommend for this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

If we concentrate on the recent form for Alouja we can see there was a race at Newmarket when it carried 09-00 and finished unplaced and is worth pointing out as its set to carry a similar weight here today.

This runner looks to have an above average chance in this event and with its superior and dexterous form Alouja looks to be one of the main competitors for this race.

Recent Form – Trainer Above Average – Jockey Average

Dal Riata

Dal Riata is a 2yo from the Mark Johnston stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

What makes this runners form admissible is the fact it got a good result recently when racing at Newbury when claiming the 2nd place prize. Had a similar type of weight that day which it is set to carry in this race which gives Dal Riata on form a modest chance.

There is only some average recent form where jockey Joe Fanning is concerned in Stakes races and with a typical strike rate this runner goes down as having a basic chance.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Mellow

Mellow is a 2yo from the Hughie Morrison stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Today’s weight for this runner is very similar to the one recently carried at Newbury when unplaced and that form appears to be how good this runner is and not ideal selection for this race.

This runner is a 2yo and the problem with that piece of information here today is that the trainers recent stats show only a low strike rate of 6% for runners that take part in races when they are a 2yo.

Overall form for this runner looks to be insufficient and substandard for a race like this and the best I feel it could do would be to possible be reach a place but its odds would need to be at least double figures.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Average

Alniyat

Alniyat is a 2yo from the Ed Dunlop stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Has an excellent rating and looks a distinguished runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

An interesting stats for this runners sire is the fact that recent results show that when the runner has been trained by Ed Dunlop there is a 33% exceptional strike rate.

With some tiptop form this notable runner form the Ed Dunlop stable would be high on anyone’s list and appears to be one of the main contenders in this event.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Above Average

Daban

Daban is a 2yo from the John Gosden stable who looks to have an excellent chance on form and ratings.

Has an excellent rating and looks a distinguished runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

On the stats side we see John Gosden the trainer has some exceptional recent results in Stakes races and has managed to win these races 27% of the time.

A runner out of the top draw here and one that looks to be in tiptop shape and ready to produce an exemplary display here at Kempton.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

Dream Waltz

Dream Waltz is a 2yo from the John Gosden stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

This runner is a 2yo and there is nothing unusual in that except when Nicky Mackay has been the jockey, recent stats show a substandard strike rate, so may not be a great choice.

This runners overall form looks to be below par for a race like this but it could possible be worth an each way provided that it had longish odds.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Thafeera

Thafeera is a 2yo from the Charles Hills stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

This runner is a 2yo and there is nothing unusual in that except when Dane O’Neill has been the jockey, recent stats show a substandard strike rate, so may not be a great choice.

A runner who for this race appears to have to much detrimental form to its name and I feel it may be wise to pass this one over.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Below Average

Love Me Again

Love Me Again is a 2yo from the Charlie Fellowes stable who has some unproductive form and does not look to be up to this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has an below average rating and looks a unproductive runner with no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

If we apply a weight range to the 09-00 this runner is set to carry, example a few pounds either way, we can check the sires recent record with its offspring which shows an unproductive 6% strike rate.

Does not look to be one of the fancied runners on the form which has come to light and for all intense and purpose Love Me Again would be classed as having a below average chance.

Recent Form – Trainer Below Average – Jockey Below Average

Royal Peace

Royal Peace is a 2yo from the Richard Hannon stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

Has an average rating and looks a moderate runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

Progressing onto the trainer to gaze at how their recent form has been in Stakes races and it appears to be fair and while this may not be ideal it is satisfactory.

One of the runners who looks to only have moderate or average form but is the type that could run well and therefore may be of interest if the main contenders put in a below par effort.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Above Average

My Lady Marie

My Lady Marie is from the Amanda Perrett and would appear to be a talented sort and looks to have an above average chance here at Kempton

Has an above average rating and looks a proficient runner but no real form which can be used in conjunction with this race and so we will move on to the stats to see what we can discover.

With some efficient and praiseworthy form to its name this would most likely be included in most short lists and who would I be to argue and I’m sure Amanda Perrett with have this one fit and ready to be battle.

Recent Form – Trainer Average – Jockey Average

Zamjar

Zamjar is a 2yo from the Ed Dunlop stable who has some average form which means that it good enough to fill one of the places in this 7f race which taking part here at Kempton.

To win a race everything needs to drop right or at least have something that on which a runner could be recommended and in the case of Zamjar the one thing it does have in its favour is the weight. When it raced at Epsom on the 07/07/2016 it carried 09-05 to fill the 1st spot which was a similar weight as today and looks adequate.

A few stats can help when making a decision about a runners chance and with Zamjar we see it is out of the sire by the name Exceed And Excel who’s offspring have a passable recent strike rate of 11% when running in Handicap races.

Has some satisfactory but run of the mill type of form and would not be to high on many punters lists but with a bit of luck may find its way into a place.
